Welcome to Dreams! / Common dreams
July 02, 2004, 09:06:42
Hey,

I sure this question has probably been asked before, but if it has i couldnt find it in the archives.

What are the most common types of dreams?

i.e - Teeth falling out, being naked in public.

I'm interested to know what other common dream themes occur in the human psyche.

Mo.

Hey All.

I just wanted to know if anyone has a good tutorial or links for Scrying. I've been wanting to research this subject for a while.

When i was a kid (very little 3-4) I used to see people in mirrors. It's such vague memories i cant remember much detail, but i know there was a mirror in my Mums bedroom and i used to see different people in it. It may have been my imagination (but i was so young) i don't know, but thats what i plan to find out. This experience only happened when i was very young and never again since.

Also do you HAVE to use a black mirror to scry. I could be wrong but i reckon the black mirror is a profit ploy, because everyone has a mirror but no one has a specially blessed black mirror! Besides which i cant afford one :0P

Any information or comments would be Tony The tiger Gr888888!

Hey All,

This is a pretty self-explanitory subject.

Is sex possible between two Astral travellers... Astral bodies that pass in the night, so to speak.

Is it possible?
Are there consequences? (Lil Astral children)
Anyone here lost there Astral Cherry?

I know i'm putting a light tone on this post, but seriously it does intrigue me. And i'm sure it does you too.

Welcome to Magic! / Destiny by birthdates
December 15, 2003, 09:11:47
Hey all,

I read something along time ago about a certain technique to read futures and destinies using the numbers in your birth date.

I was wondering if anyone could provide me with a name or a link to anything about this subject. Any information would be a great help.

I have a funny birthdate and have always wanted to know whether it means something or nothing. 09/09/81

9 * 9 = 81

8 + 1 = 9

9 + 9 = 18

my 18th birthday was on the 9/9/99

It probably means nothing, i know there are probably millions of people out there sharing the same birthdate. But still i find it interesting.

Hey all.

Someone whom i was talking too from this bored, informed about Pendulums and guided me to the instructions on how to make one.

Anything mystical, paranormal, whatever intrigues me. So i thought i'd give it a go. I did enter the whole process of making my pendulum with doubt and a 'This surel can't work attitude'. However i made sure to obey the instructions to the letter and sure enough it works. I just have the highest respect for the whole process now.

Are there anymore people out there with sucessful pendulum stories?

Welcome to Magic! / Aleister Crowley
December 13, 2003, 18:02:05
Hey all.

I'm not a magic man myself (Although i have respect for it) i just wanted to know if anyone could provide more information about Crowley.

Especially one story i heard (On a Discovery documentary). This said something along the lines of Crowley would summon spirits and various other creatures from beyond, an in exchange for (his) life force they would grant him certain powers or wishes. I'm sorry the description of this account in vage but i can't remember the full details of the documentary.

Also,

What do you think of Aleister Crowley?

Hey all,

This is just a quick question.

Has anyone on this board been to the Akashic records, or even further?

I know RB in the treatise recounts his experiences, i'd love to hear more recollections and experiences of the higher dimensions.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Coma Patients?
December 10, 2003, 04:39:03
Hey all

I was just wondering about coma patients, could there astral bodie be locked out of there physical because of the damage?

Due to the lengthy times of most coma's would the patient eventually become conscious on Astral Plaine?

I don't how anyone could answer these but any theories or notions would cool?

Hey all,

As you probably know (From my previous posts) I am what could be considered a newbie.

I tried for an AP just before. No sucess but i feel im progressing.

This is how it happened -

1) Started listening to Brain Wave Generator (Deep meditation)
2) Relaxed my body
3) Started 'Mind Awake, Body Asleep'
4) Started ROPE exercise

It was only a couple of minutes after starting ROPE that my heart started the throb, and i mean THROB! However because i'd experienced the throbbing last time i attempted AP, i was prepared for it and just remained focussed. THEN something new happened. It felt like my eyes and the muscles around them were randomly firing in spasms. It was a very weird feeling, certianly one i hadnt had before. I did my best to remain focussed but i'd be lieing if i said it didnt break my concentration a little (I then stopped climbing the ROPE).

My heart stopped beating fast, and my eye muscles slowed down. I realised that this was ending. I didnt want it too, so with a sudden burst of will and concentration i started to climb ROPE once again. Like clock work my heart started racing, followed by my eye spasms. After this little vibrations started to happen. It felt like somebody was gently shaking the base of my (Office style) chair.

After a few minutes of these vibrations, i decided to stop the session because my heart had been beating immensly (I could feel the veins pulsing with every beat). I just thought it best i take small steps and play safe, rather than jumping in the deep end.

The strange thing is all the things decribed above happened within 25 minutes of me actually starting.

This leads me to the questions -

1) 25 minutes sounds a little fast, i thought it'd take hours?
2) What was the eye thing?
3) What can be done about the pulsing heart?

I am currently reading through (With a fine tooth comb) Robert Bruce's Treatise on OBE. So i'm sure i'll find somethings to answer my questions.

But please if any of you's can give me some insight, i'd sure appreciate it.

thanx for reading.

Hey all,

I was thinking today (A first for me) about deep mind states and meditation as a whole. It seems to be common practice on this site (and maybe in general) for everyone to get into relaxed positions and slip into meditation using various different calming techniques.

I was just wondering whether anybody on this site has tried to go into a trance the other way (The back door). i.e the way Voodoo priests (and others of the like) work themselves up into a frenzy by jumping and dancing etc.

Then it got me into thinking more (A definate first!) No matter what method you use to get into a trance (Whether it be relaxing, or dancing into a frenzy), do both methods lead to the same state of consciousness (Similiar Brain Frequencies)?

Or is it that working yourself into a frenzy (ala Voodoo) overloads your brain sending you into a different kind of Trance (The polar opposite to a relaxed trance).

I don't know whether a lot of that made sense, but if it did any insight would be great.

Cheers

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Gr8 meditation music
December 06, 2003, 17:23:04
Hey all.

I was plodding away listening to my music whilst organising some files on my PC. Then i thought i'd just post a little post to tell you about Aphex Twin.

You may have already heard of them, but just incase you haven't i highly recommend it for meditation music. His music is (in my opinion) a pure reflection and projection of Bliss. The albums to look out for are.

Aphex Twin : Ambient Works Vol 2
Aphex Twin: Ambient works 85 -92

He has done other albums but the music in those other albums is rapid fire (I mean CRAZY BPM speed). Those two i've listed are the only two i know of where the music is just PURE ENERGY. It certainly helps me sometimes through the day.

I was also wondering, does anyone else here have music reccomendations for meditation? If so please post.

Cheers

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Ambient Streamin radio
December 05, 2003, 16:58:55
Ok, i gotta tell you all this.

I have found THE best Internet music stream, for ambient music.

Its a station listed in iTunes - Get it the program here
http://www.apple.com/itunes/ (Note: it only runs on XP, 2000 systems)

Once it's installed click the 'radio' tab. Then click the triangle shape before the title ambient. The station is called 'Drone Zone'.

I swear it's pure bliss, just one sweet track after another. No adverts, no breaks. If you got broadband it's a bonus coz theres 128KBPS stream. But for you dialup's theres a 56KBPS, or 24KBPS Stream.

I don't normally like plugging software but i couldnt let this one go. It's amazing, i listen to this station constantly, it's calming especially when your trying to relax.

Cheers,

Mo.

Hey there,

I'm relatively new to energy development and astral projection. I've been reading Robert Bruces articles on Chakra stimulation. So i thought i would give it a go.

Sure enough the first night of working on my base chakra, i did feel a new kinda feel, it was a very slight tingling at the bottom of my spine. Also that night i some very powerful dreams.

The second i decide to do it again (routine). Once again i concentrate on opening my Base Chakras. Everythings going fine, i pulling energy in. Then all of a sudden i get this headache, i ignored it for a while but the more i concentrated, the powerful it became. In the end i closed my chakras and went to sleep.

I've woke up this very morning and the headache is still there. I was just wondering if anybody had an explination, or a cure :0P. I assume it's because i've tried too much too soon.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers,

Mo

Hey there,

I been reading up on Astral subjects for a while, reading various techniques and philosophies (Of which ive found Robert Bruces to be the one that works for me)

I'm meditating, working on my chakras. I really think im ready to try and take my first voyage of discovery into the astral.

However i think i need to get a basic grasp on the negs that can effect you on the astral (Just what is a psychic vampire? What else is there to look out for?) I am going to buy Bruces self defense book, however at the moment i can't afford it.

If anyone has any advice, or can link me to anywhere that will help it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Dreams! / Fear of never flying
December 04, 2003, 08:45:24
Hey all.

Ok, no doubt sometime in your life you've talked to friends about dreams and regaled about the dream you had where you would fly. Everyone i speak to has had a least one dream where they flew.

I however have no dream like that to speak. When i have taken to the air in a dream, ive been either thrown (from a rollercoaster), catapulted, swept up (in a tornado) but never have i flown of on my own.

I wonder if anyone else is the same?

I'd loved to hear any comments you have to offer.

Cheers,

Mo

Hey there.

This is the first time i've actually shared this with anyone, let alone a whole website. The dreams i had during that period of time were very vivid and sometimes very disturbing.

First things first. I live next to a big international airport (Manchester, UK). Ive lived here all my life and have grown up with the sounds and sites of planes coming into land, and taking off.

However in all my life ive never really had any stand out dreams about plane or airports.

Cut to, January 2001.

I go to bed a slip blissfully into sleep. The dream i had, is as follows -

I sitting on a fence in a public field, close by to where i live. Everything is quiet nobody else is around. I the sky i see a plane coming into land at the airport. The usual rumble of it's engines can be heard. Suddenly it's as if the engines of the plane cut out and it fall out of the sky like a swatted fly. I see it plunge below the tree line and the flame and debris blast upwards. I'm still sitting on the fence as i notice the fragments of debris fly uncontrollably closer and closer. I sit on the fence as burning plane parts crator into the field around me. Like a i mentioned before it was very real.

So that morning i wake up and go "Wow what a dream" The more disturbing a dream is the more i enjoy (I have a rollcoster mentality... The more danger the better, butyou know your completely safe).

Anyways i go on with my life. That is until the next dream, which occured probably about 3 weeks after.

This time in the dream im walking down a street which connects onto the street where i live. Once again a plane is coming into land. I watch it's decent, as it glides through the. Suddenly once again the plane falls straight downward, spiralling as it falls. This the doomed plane falls beyond my view (Behind a distant row of buildings) However i do see the explosion from where i am standing and once again the dbris comes flying, leveling the houses close to me.

So i wake up after that dream going "Wow, what a vivid dream, wonder why it was like the last one?"

I dismiss this as coinicidence and go on with my life. That is until the next one.

I can't be exact but i think the third dream happened 2 weeks after the second.

In this dream im sitting at an airport cafe that situated at the end of the runway (There is no such cafe in reality) I sitting at one of those white, round, pinic tables with the cotton umbrella covering above me. Once again i see a plane coming straight towards my position coming into land, as it floats down, i see it's wheels touch the runway (the burst of rubber smoke). Then without no reason at all its wheels collapse and the sparks fly as it body grates against the runway floor... Head straight for me.

I wake kind of disturbed this time as these types of dreams are starting to become a habit, and that is something i never had before (I'd never dreamt basically the same dream twice).

Now heres the sting in tail. The part that really got me spooked.

I had these reoccurring plane disaster dreams once, sometimes twice a month. That is until september the 11th. Since that date i have not dreamt of any kind of plane, let alone one crashing so vividly. Now that spooks me.

Do you reckon it could have been phrophetic (I do not consider myself to have any psychic ability what so ever, if these are psychic it was involutery)?

Or do you that it's just coincidence because i live so close to an airport? (Bear in mind i've lived here all my life and never had reoccuring plane dreams)

Any comments would be welcome. Thanks for reading.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / a BIG first time hello

Welcome to Astral Chat! / a BIG hello
December 04, 2003, 04:06:33
Greetings everyone. Just thought i would say a big HELLO! (Sorry if i've posted this in the wrong topic, but i couldnt find a GENERAL topic area)

I just found this site and have been reading some of the various articles. I have always had an interest in the Astral projection and beyond and this site is a blessing.

I'm not a religous person myself. I do believe i a higher being but i align myself with no earthly religion. However i was brought up in a born again christian family. The reason i mention this is because when i was a child and used to attend church and i remember seeing beams of energy (purple, and green colours mostly) when the people of that church worshipped. The beams would channel through the person leading the worship and distribute randomly through the crowd. I never knew what it was, and for a long time i put it down to an over active imagination. Needless to say it was enough to keep me from being bored.

These beams stopped around about the time i moved into Adolescence.

I was just wondering if anyone could provide an explaniation or a theory on what those beams were.

cheers,

Modo

p.s - im really looking forward to getting involved with this site and develop my own skills along the way.

Welcome to Dreams! / Common dreams
July 02, 2004, 13:49:45
Hey Kaz,

Thanks for the reply.

Your post reminded me about something which intrigues me about my own dreams. I've never flew.

I never had a dream (one i can remember) where i've been able to fly amongst the cloud or into space etc. It strikes me as perculiar because almost everyone i've spoken to has had a flying dream.

I have however been sling shot into the air, thrown off a rollcoaster, taken up in a tornadoe, and slung off a skyscraper. But i've never flown of my own accord.

Your UFO dreams sound inspiring. I can only imagine the feelings you must have felt. I suppose the closest i could get to those amazing sensations is while watching 'Close Encounters of the Third kind'.

I look forward to hearing about your escaping dreams.

Cheers,

Mo.

P.S - Don't know if your a football fan, but imagine you can't escape right now, so good luck on sunday. [:D]

Welcome to Dreams! / Teeth
July 02, 2004, 08:58:37

I have these dreams very often, i was always told that it's because i'm anxious about something. But in this post i have seen many more explinations, all of which could apply to me [8D]

The dream itself is very vivid and i often wake up thinking i don't have certain teeth. It is very scary but the great sigh of relief when i find out i do have my teeth is great lol.

Glad to see many more people have this dream.

JAWS!!!! Jaws is the movie "Do you know the muffin man?..." Thats been kickin my butt for ages trying to think where that line is from.

Cheers dude, and congrats on your finger split.

#24
I suppose the main reason why i do it is because of intrigue mainly. A journey of self-discovery.

Escapism i suppose could be another reason. The human race has become a hectic and busy population with everyone investing in material assets and relying on chemicals for their relief. Especially as technology develops, everyones linked up, jacked in and constantly in contact. It's getting to the point that if you want to live a "supposedly" normal exsistance you have to have these things in order to survive. Astral Travel is personal adventure one that you can describe to others but that you expierence uniquely yourself, no technology or gadgets required. - Whoo, went of on a tangent for a sec there.

Oh, fun as well, the rush that no drug could ever surpass.

Peace.

Unfortunately i dont have a link. I managed to catch a documentary on the discovery channel about divination. They briefly touched upon the subject of scrying and interviewed a women in the UK who uses the mirror scrying technique.

She talked about using a black mirror. From what i could gather theres not alot difference between a black mirror and a normal one. I think a black mirror has just had some kind of spell or blessing put on in.

Cheers
