Any personal stories, contributions would be actively welcome! I have read Bruce's descriptions of realms that I have not seen, but what I have seen often isn't much described in his book. So I am calling on others for your input.

I have noticed that when I leave my body, it happens to occur on one of three basic levels. The most common level is the Real Time level, where I exit my body in whatever house/room I fell asleep in. There, objects are exactly as they are in waking life. It also never fails that wherever I fall asleep (parents', friends', at home); that is what I see. While the clarity of vision varies from foggy to brighter than waking life, the accuracy of where physical objects lie, so far, has been 100%.

The second level I have experienced, less often, has been a level with a negative, heavy feeling, often accompanied by terrifying laughter in deep voices, and sometimes disturbing revelations of things which happened in waking life later that day or week.  I haven't yet made head or tails of what that level is, but I often am pulled out of my body during those episodes. I have also seen silvery beings with human form, but felt a malevolent energy expressed from them.

The third level I have experienced has been of a delightful character, where I have seen glowing energy, in the form of a ball.  It was so peaceful, and hovered, waiting for me to hover up to it. I have also flown during these.

Never have I experienced any silvery chord.  (In over 13 years of OBE's).

I hope this becomes and actively shared folder. All input is welcome!

Best wishes,

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Naps and OBE's
December 25, 2003, 20:14:28
While I rarely have time for a nap these days, I find that every time I take a nap, I will be startled out of the nap by a sudden feeling of intensity, as if I am made of purely energy. I realize that my body is asleep and that I can leave my body.  Naps are incredible for inducing OBE's, yet I don't know why, unless it is because of the brevity of the nap, or the difference in depth of sleep.

Any personal stories or thoughts on this one?

Welcome to Dreams! / linking dreams to waking life
December 19, 2003, 08:45:08
I've been keeping a dream journal for over 16 years.

One helpful technique for developing your awareness is to leave large amounts of space after your dream entries. In this space you can write events as they happen (weeks to months later, sometimes), make notes, pose questions to yourself. Then over time, your hunches, interpretations will guide you.  You will find that predictive dreams, warning dreams, people dreams, relationship dreams do happen to you, and that the more you respect your dreams, the more they will reveal to you.

This space in your notebook is invaluable. It is the bridge where you link your dreams to your outer life.

Welcome to Dreams! / Common Dream Themes.

Recently I have seen a few dreams with wolves. In one I joined a massive parade of large, white wolves. In the second, I watched as a lion ripped the muzzle off a wolf;  it died slowly. The third, I was walking along a river bank, and noticed several wolf carcasses, only to see a pack of lions up ahead.

I often dream of aminals, befriending them, or communicating with them through thoughts.

Dear Crazy C:  From my own experience, the paralysis you experienced is the first sign that it is now time to leave your body.
