I stumbled across this incredible forum and was so happy to learn others experience what happened to me. I just want to know why we are chosen to experience OBE's?
I consider myself to be a very spirtual, intuituve 36 year old female. Three months ago, while taking a quick nap before work one afternoon, I experienced my first OBE in RTZ. At the time I had no clue what had happened to me or zero knowledge on the subject. The experience altered my conscience and opened my spirituality even more so. My intuition scares me because it has gotten so accurate.

A quick summary on my first whatever it was:
I woke up but did not see my body in bed.
Everything was very blurry and in a boxed vision.
Everything was the same in my room and hallway. I even looked at myself and saw what I was wearring, nothing but my orange underwear with a little bear on the front. Sorry for the details but I think its important that I knew what I was wearing.
I felt like I was heavily drugged like on some kind of shrooms
I could barley stand but made my way down the hallway.
I remember grabbing my flannel shirt and tried so hard to put it on because I was cold. Therefore I was aware of feeling and could grasp my shirt.
A force pulled me back into my bedroom and right into my bed.
I then blacked out.
I had another one last week, or close to it as Im not really sure. I was again naping before work at the same exact time as my last OBE. This time was different as I experienced massive vibrations and loud humming. It scared the living day lights out of me so I told myself to wake up and I did. Thats what lead me to this forum.

Was I out of body during the vibrations?
Why does this happen to me when Im not even trying or had no knowledge of it?
Does having an OBE unwillingly, mean one is close to death?
Is it because I am very spiritual that I have OBE's?
Can OBE's enhance ones pshyic ability?
Can you drown if you have one in the bathtub?
If I project at night time, will I be able to see?

Sorry for all of the questions in no particular order. I just would feel at great ease if someone could give me there input.

Im confused. What does drowning have to do with my bunny that passed away? What did I miss? Hmmmm[]

I havent checked on here in a few months until I got three new responses in the last week, two in reference to animal spirits.
Its strange that my bunny past away 5 days ago. He wasnt just a bunny, but a part of our family and had a special relationship with one of my cats. I miss Bunny so much and wondered if he will come back.
My boyfriends mother was taking care of my sick bunny. She called me at work to tell me he passed away just minutes ago. Two minutes prior to her calling me to tell me bunny died, a huge Crane Bird landed right in front of me on the driving range. I work at PGA Learning Center and it was very unusual for a Crane to just drop from the sky and land right in front of my ball picker. Golf balls were flying left and right missing the Crane by inches. I drove the picker behind the Crane to push him to a safe spot. I saved that Cranes life the exact moment my bunny died.
Do you think the Crane came to me for a reason? Do you think it was my bunny coming to say goodbye to me? I saved an animals life and in return, lost the life of an animal at the exact same time. The whole situation was so bizzare. Maybe Im thinking to far into it, though anything is possible.
I would appreciate any thoughts or comments.

This is a picture of me reinacting my first OBE. I love digital imaging and really enjoy looking at all of the pictures posted here.
Let me know what you think as I am still in the early stages of graphic art. I wish my eyes were closed in the physical body but I couldnt figure out how to do it.

I have another question that has left me curious for years and years.
OverDriven mentioned one can see animals in the astral world.
My cat Higgins was put down years ago due to Diabetes. I had him cremated and his picture resides within close viewing on his urn.

I have wondered and hoped that I will see him again. Will I ever see Higgins? Some say animals have souls, therefore they have to go somewhere. Can I will my mind to see Higgins while OOB? I feel like I have had no closure since he was put down 5 years ago. I would give anything to see my little Higgy and to make sure he is happy with lots of catnip:)
If anyone has witnessed a pet that has passed away during OOB, please share it with me if you feel comfortable.

I recently bought a book by Robert Peterson, "Out of Body Experiences", how to have them and what to expect. This book is so great I find it hard to put down. I feel like the author is decribing my experiences in his book. Very helpful techniques, exercises and really preps you on what to expect, especially for beginners such as myself.

Thank you all for your valuable input! I feel more comfortable by the minute after reading your responses. I tell ya, this is the best forum I have ever run across. Because this subject is in a class of its own, not many people understand, and I find it hard to share my experiences with my friends.

It's truly a wonderful feeling to know I can talk about my OBE's with you and to get such awesome feedback. You guys are witty, charming, truthful, direct and have me now looking forward to my next OBE. Heck, I might even try to enable one using techniques such as BrainWave Generator. Awesome program I hear.

Thank you AP Guy for clarifying to Holy Reality my concerns about the bath tub. You saved me a response:)I do want to thank Holy Reality for your response. Though you may have mis-interpeted the whole bath tub thing, you made a very good point concerning safety. It wouldnt surprise me if someone wanted to intentionally have an OOB while soaking in the bubbly. Not a wise or safe method for astral travel in my opinion.

I noticed that "fear" seems to be a concerned question in many who are in the beginning stages of Astral Projection. Gandalf gave some wonderful advice on fear and how to avoid it. Thanks Man!!

I feel a huge sense of relief, especially knowing Im not going to die or drown in the bath tub. Wheww! I am very eager to explore this deeper next time it happens to me and not be afraid, as I now know what to expect. Knowing I can determine the time of day or will some light on my experience is pretty kool. Id hate to have this happen to me in the pitch darkness. I should probably pick up a book by Dr. Monroe as I have seen his name mentioned a lot on here. I'll check out his website as well.
