I actually got an OBE last night...  It's been more than a year since I fully got out.  I'll shortly explain my short trip and you'll see the struggles I'm having once out of body.

So I took a nap rom 8pm to 11pm .  Obviously I wasn't able to sleep after that until perhaps 2-3am.  I was in bed doing energy work / meditating.  After a while my body just turns on its side by itself which usually means I'm ready to sleep and there I go.  I feel the vibrations, so I start focussing on my 3rd eye and I get a change in consciousness.

I roll over and get on the ground of my bedroom.  The thing is my whole astral body was completely stiff.  I coudn't move my neck so I was only looking forward, and my whole body couldn't move.  Everything was sluggish.  After perhaps 30 seconds, I get sent back to my body.  I start feeling vibrations again, refocus on my 3rd eye and I roll over again.

Everything is still sluggish but this time around I am able to move my arms and my torso.  Everything is very dark though.  So I stop and tell myself, "ok I want everything to be bright and clear... I want control over my body...", etc...  Just a bunch of affirmations, but nothing happened.  So I slowly crawled to the light switch in my room.  I hit it, (I even hear it click like in the physical world) but nothing happens.

I was pretty annoyed by now since it's rare that I get out and the experience isn't going like I want it to.  I start crawling to my parents room across mine.  I crawl to my father and start shaking him.  I wasn't expecting anything to happen but to my surprise "whatever" was there woke up as if I spooked the crap out of him.  It looked like my father, but his eyes were very bright and white.  That scared the crap out of me too and I just closed my eyes and wished to go back to my body.  I tried to get out again but couldn't.

An other weird thing is that an other person was sleeping by my dad (my mother I'm guessing), but in the physical my dad was alone in his bed and my mother was sleeping in another room.

Anyways, what can I do to control things better.  I tried to calm down and tell myself what I want to happen, but nothing was working at all.  I barely had control of my own body.

I used to be confused whether I was lucid dreaming or OBE'ing.
Until the day I actually bounced out of my body.  When you are in the astral for real, you will know FOR SURE.

Oh, and I read somewhere that when asleep, your astral body is resting just above your physical body.

I highly doubt you can take so much energy from someone that they'll die.
Energy is constantly entering the body when needed.  Breathing, eating, and other daily activities induce energy.

Stop trippin'.

When does it happen?
I get a crazy amount of vibration before I exit the body.
It feels like I'm breathing hard, and my heart is racing.
It's your energy rushing through the body.  I feels like a wave.  Eventually you'll be able to control it better.  I say it's a good sign.  Have fun with it.

I've went through the same thing before.  Just STOP and forget about it.
Give it a week or 2.  When you come back, you'll have a clearer mind to restart your practice.
Feeling frustrated and wanting for something to happen isn't good.  Your mind should be clear.

I'm having a hard time understanding your post.
You're having "similar" spasms to what?
When does this happen?  When you sleep?
It happens to your mother as well?

Get out the house and bring an exorcist in.  Your story reminds me of The Exorcist.

I like keeping an open mind, but I highly doubt it will be as effective as getting the house fumigated or to keep on using chemical treatments.

When I do Robert Bruce's MBA, my whole left side becomes tingly and my left eye becomes extremely sensitive to light?  It makes the tingling worse... It is very similar to when I am VERY fatigued, and my eye needs to rest. I do have enough sleep though.  How can I stop this side affect?

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Area 51
February 27, 2006, 00:32:06
QuoteI'm not sure but I remember watching this show a few months ago. This guy was trying to take a video of Area 51 off a mountain. He said that there used to be a mountain that was closer to Area 51 where people used to go to watch. Now however, if one were to get that close, the gov't would say you are trespassing (sp?).

If I had the time and energy ... I guess I could just drive there and find out for you. But that's just not gonna happen. One day though. One day lol.

OH. But as far as .. going there via OB or whatever, I guess you can give it a shot. I really don't see why you couldn't.

I think he meant while in an OBE.

I think it happened for reals this time.  No 1/2 dream or none of that...
It was in the morning... after i woke up... i tried to OBE...  Vibes hit and I "think" i got out and was looking up at my ceiling.  I didn't even try to look at myself in bed I was so damn excited.  I immediately went in my parents room to see if I could see them, but it was too dark.  So i ran in the hallway and opened my main door to go outside.  I was really excited, but it was night and all foggy.  I could barely see and told my self, let there be light.  It was still night but I could see a little better.  I jumped out and tried to fly but I was pulled towards the outside walls of my house right to my bed in my body and I woke up.

The whole experience didn't feel too real, but still much clearer than a lucid dream.  I think I coulda been more focused.  More luck next time.  Yay to me tho.

What really helped me feel vibrations at first was picturing myself falling or climbing down.  Picture yourself going down a ladder until you feel you're about to go to sleep.  Or picture yourself falling down an endless pit... anything... once you feel you're gonna fall asleep, picture yourself floating in the air, couple inches from your cieling... looking at it... vibrations should hit.  It did for me... everyones different.  Try your own things.

QuoteThe subconscious must not like to know the time. Laughing

Is there even time in the astral? lol
thats maybe why.

Tell em you're going to wonderland :)

They might think you're gonna take shrooms or lsd though... haha.

But yeah... tell them it's to help you relax.  Big deal.

QuoteWith practice, you should be able to ignore ambient sounds like that.

Like said above...  this was the hardest thing that I had to work on.  But I can now hear the sounds and sort of ignore them and stay in the state I wanna be in.  Earphones are cool, but you should still practice.  I've read a book on OBE (don't remember the name) and the author stated that he practiced so much on his concentration, that he was able to obe next to little kids playing around him.  Try meditating... that could help you a little.

You still have a while to go... but it's mos def a good sign.  It shows that you're in a relaxed state IMO... to OBE though... try keeping your mind blank and focus on something.  But if you want to experience with those images... go ahead.  With me, they usually form into a dream and I can actualy see my dream starting if I stay awake.  It's pretty fun.

QuoteSo why is it that after an OBE the individual still believes the experience to be real and valid and not a the dream state that we are all accustomed to?

I thought the same before i started having experiences... u are aware when u obe... you are not sleeping like in a dream.  You feel like it is real... same as you're feeling the chair you're sitting on right now... You know for a fact that you are out the body and that you're obe'ing.  When you have a dream, you don't think... "oh snap im dreaming!"... a dream just takes place and that's it.

Whatever an OBE is... whether we're actualy leaving the body, dreaming, dying... whatever.  I'm alive and well right now... I live like anyother person and OBE'ing is an amazing experience on both physical and spiritual levels.  You shouldn't care whatever it is :)

QuoteI had this happen to me alot in the beginning hustler. You just progress into a clearer projection state eventually, its like your astral body is just waking up and getting used to projecting with you watching. You just have to adjust in my experience.

What i was thinking exactly... thank you for precising it.

Yeah it didnt make sense to me either... :)

Well try this... when you start thinking about something... jus push it out... make sure you stay blank and focus on one thing only... (maybe your breathing) and when you're feel relaxed enough... try flaoting out... if it doesn't work... go back to relaxing... push thoughts out and experience again.  Those thoughts are sometimes fun to experience with because in my previous experiences, i could watch those thoughts become dreams.  I guess there are different steps... try experiencing with all of them.

Well.... i can't move at all... its like if there was no gravity... im jus floating and moving real slow.... i dunno... its hard to explain.

QuoteHey there,

sounds pretty much like my first astral experience. Keep at it, and you'll be out in no time. Very Happy
If you guys got that far during your 1st astral experience... then props to you guys... :)  You're on the right track... even though the experiences might be different from person to person... you're doing fine IMO.

Quotet seems that I can get relaxed just fine, but after that, nothing happens. I usually spend an hour or more doing it whenever I can, but after awhile I feel tired and have to stop.

That seems more like relaxation/meditation to me than trying to obe :)

You cannot obe just by relaxing... you have to involve your mind into seperating from your body.  There are techniques out there to do that (rope techniqe for example).  But forget techniques, next time you're relaxed and feel heavy, imagine getting out your body, and starting to float right on top of your body, this should start up some strong vibrations.

QuoteEvery time I wake up and think about doing it then, I just fall asleep.
Had that happen to me so many times...  it's all about will power on this one.  Its better doing it in the morning when you wake up naturally (not alarm clock) so you aren't tired anymore but still relaxed.
