This tinglefire rushing spine sensation thats a bit squirmy and can be more "squirmy" the more you do it, is kind of routine for me-with a little effort. I did start when I was maybe 7 or so-didn't know kundalini then. Just sparks and fun, tingles and magic in my body...up my legs and in my spine to my head. Great fun. Normal for me now if I feel like playing. What else can I do with it? ;)

There are open minds then there are minds so open that they become vapor.

What I mean is being open minded to me, means questioning and examining. Not accepting just any old thing no matter how well worded or argued.

I don't believe in the existance of "chi". I know what "chi" feels like-if I tell you I use the word "chi" as a convenient label for a set of sensations involved in conciously directing energy for a purpose.  For me, belief is for when you can't know.
A sort of pointless thing to do sometimes. Belief in the right place is useful, but belief as a replacement for actual knowledge to me seems rather daft.

As for families with super chi keeping it secret. Please, that's back to the old conspiracy theories stuff to be honest. I'm definitly with the skeptic brigade on that one.  Whilst I don't believe any of us here know all that is possible by a long stretch, that doesn't mean that I should believe anything that someone claims is real and happening either.

btw, devout DBZ'er topics seem to turn up here with alarming regularity as does the closely related "chi miracles" topic.   I've no doubt that some amazing things can and have been done with energy work having experienced such myself but this blasting things with chi stuff is pretty tiresome.  I would say to the next DBZ wannabe, please, please don't bother to post it-just prove it. Somethings are kinda not worth debating.

I've worked with energy since I was young. I felt it first when I was 7, consciously used it when I was 11 and trained it ever since. Repeatedly I've tried to take it "to the limit" with rage, anger, determination and sheer obsessiveness. I've sweated buckets in the cold, ended up in tears, and healed folks with it.

Chi balls and blasting with them-sounds like b*ll*x to me. Too much TV. I'll believe this side of it when I see/experience it. I'm 28 now and have had a lot of success with healing using this, so "chi" (if you like) exists, definitly. DBZ nonsense..is just that.

Maybe this "energy" doesnt even exist? Its all in the mind. Ever heard of the Placebo effect?

Useful effect in it's own right when harnessed correctly but without intentions of harmful deception. However I speak as someone who's been doing this from a very young age-there IS something in it. Energy will do as a catch all term for now, and yes it can have a variety of tactile sensations (this is my perception-I feel, and emote with energy work, can't see it for excrement though!).

It's not placebo. I proved it to myself way too many times. It's brought tears to my eyes, tears of joy mainly and connectedness too many times. The skeptics are very wrong on this one :-). I have blind tested on some people, ex-girlfriend for one from a distance. It worked and she never knew I was doing it until it was too late.

All I know is I don't feel right selling healing. So I only offer it when I feel I want to do so. That isn't that often that it would ever cause me material loss. Plus I have a lot of free time.

If it will help, I will endeavour to render the aforesaid assistance during the next 2 days if I have a visual focus. That's all thats needed.

Hi guys,

May I request on Amanda's behalf any healing or prayers people feel that they can please?

I'm not 100% sure where to post this so I'm going to post here to request anyone who is moved to email the CEO mentioned or otherwise contact if possible please? I emailed though I don't personally know Tom and Amanda, just their story did touch me and maybe what happens also may effect others in not too disimilar circumstances in the future.

Also would anyone who is of a mind to consider sending healing for her also? If you have a daily routine where you add people to send to would anyone include Amanda also.

My instinct on this is to throw it out with any other new age junk that insists on gradually boiling the would be practitioners in a financial sense.  Increasing the price as you go "higher" up the courses feels and smells like a rotten scam to me.

As for safety, I personally believe the safest way is through methodical consistent self training. I've used chi kung, and N.E.W in a deliberate and methodical manner for a while now (18 months for NEW, and I can't remember how many years for chi kung). Consistently very strong stable flows of heat/tingly/other sensations mixed energy happens at will with little problem.  Chakra work is really down to some common sense sensitivity and self patience. Obviously reading around the subject from different traditions will give one a sense of the details needed. You don't need some high priced nonsense. If there's a lengthy and therefore pricey path involved then it's nearly always likely to be next to worthless.  Until I meet someone from such a "discipline" who actually can demonstrate stronger and better control than what I already do for myself, my mind is unlikely to be changed by the various rationalisations that such organisations put out.  For me the only proof is experience of one kind or another.

Also I get a strong smell of pseudo-science on their site. "God-particle". I'd treat that with suspicion :-).

It wouldn't be difficult if you have a natural ability to influence other peoples energy fields to set up an apparently quite "real" and solid "discipline" to sell to folks. I could do it tomorrow, so could any of us on this site who know exactly what moving energy feels like and can demonstrate to others.  Tickling your chakras is childs play to anyone who's spent a few months solidly working on theirs-as long as they can feel what they are doing.

Get big pinches of salt for you'll need them where ever you see graduated and price increased disciplines.

Never, ever rely on anyone to "open" your chakras. At best you'll be tickled and fooled into believing something happened. At worst if they have genuine ability you could be drained or otherwise unbalanced, made to feel euphoric even-therefore completely vulnerable to believing anything told to you after that point.  Case in point, when I learnt to pull energy into the heart centre and pump it out for healing purposes, I cried with tears of joy, even though I was only concentrating on moving energy. I've had it happen a number of times and learnt to control it and make the sensation stronger. It gave me quite an ego trip. However thankfully I didn't get attached to a belief system that explained it. But I could have done, if someone else had caused me to perform the same actions in the context of a procedure or ceremony linked to a belief, I'd have been converted. The sensation was that powerful. Just thought I'd mention this in case you found you also had been "given" quite powerful and involving chakra sensations by anyone from this organisation.

More 2012 stuff? man, I bet the volume just increases the closer we get!.
#15
Data, I seperate the commensense warnings of environmental crises that appear quite likely with current patterns of resource usage etc from prophecy. :-). Whilst mostly I feel there is very little actively I personally can do now to avert those, I am aware their possibility is very real. I just have no truck with the "mystical" stuff that is about on this subject.
#16
Data, I'm quite aware magnetic shifts have happened in the past, and the likelyhood is that they will continue to happen. After Earth has a molten core that contains a lot of iron, so it's a spinning liquid magnet. That factual data has never been in much doubt in my mind.

It's the man made belief nonsense I have no sympathy with. 2012+magnetic shift (has science really tied down the date of the next definite pole shift like that?)=some kinda mystical ooba jooba super shift in mankinds state of consciousness. I've never been a fan of the over the top new age style mystic hopeful rescue stuff to be honest.

Every so often various individuals churn out another book containing the keys to the future of mankind. Some seem to be regurgitations of older stuff, others reiturate stuff from each other, still others occasionally write something almost new. So yes, I get super cynical with this side of things.

Also whilst I'm on this subject, how come when various folks are challenged on the reality of this their arguement alters? I've heard versions that require mankind to dimensionally shift for a few weeks, end up in other planes/planets/rescued etc, to really subtle stuff saying well actually most folks won't really sense it but some special sensitive people will. In between are variations on shifts of consciousness and other stuff that can be held onto quite tightly indeed by the determined believer and dismissed by everyone else as they won't notice it.

In other words, it feels unreal, it feels silly, and well if something smells, looks, tastes, and sounds like a donkey...you get the picture.

We are all free to believe what we like-as long as our belief doesn't lead us into harming other people in pursuit of that belief. However I prefer experience and knowing wherever possible. So on subjects I haven't experienced I generally sit on fences really. In this prophecy business however, I sit firmly on the skeptical cynical side. I'd rather get egg on my face from that than hopelessly believe some of the prophecy stuff and have those hopes squashed or diluted into nothing in some kinda rationalisation.

;-) Didn't intend to write this much, but all this wanted to out.

Why do people have to keep generating these special dates all the time? Yes it's possible to find a dozen justifications for each date picked-and any other date if one really wanted to. So why does humanity bother? I don't understand the mentality. Is it just the hope of an end/being saved or something? Then the concept gets defended tooth and nail when challenged..sounds like religion almost to me..

Problems, issues, things to deal with are all real. Prophetic dates, planetory shifts, magnetic shifts having special meaning and all that junk doesn't seem to be real to me-just manmade fantasy and hyperbole-often tacked onto some thread of reality, like the earth does have polarity shifts every so often and things.

I'm willing to swap experiment for experiment. I've been attempting to alter the potential course of my and my partner's life so that a)my ability to heal and move energy always continues to grow, b)Our happiness and the happiness of those who's lives we touch grows and c)(the materialistic bit) we are trying to find someway to afford a certain boat-she's 30 yrs old, 35' and ocean going, whom we connect with but can't quite afford-I've been doing spellwork and stuff trying to influence our future potentials to see if we can end up with this boat.

I'm willing to exchange some of my time performing a similar spellwork on your future if you would like to help me do the same on mine? Like a possible upward influencing spiral? Incidently-anyone else who wants to try this also, I personally am willing to attempt this with a number of people. I only need a name and preferably a photo, and of course a general description of where you'd like things to end up.

Kinda like healing a future maybe? Just an interesting thought. If enough of us attempt to do this for each other-maybe we'll all notice effects. If we notice effects, maybe we'll feel more motivated to do it more for each other-inducing a positive spiral? :-) I'm willing to help start this...

waas13,  a little patience with folks if you would :-).
Send me a photo of yourself and I'll have a shot on your behalf. Not a reiki practitioner, I work in a way that's natural to me since I was 10 :-). Hopefully it'll be noticeable for you.

Sadly I hear that he is ultra conservative. A sad thing to hear when he could influence 1billion people. Scary, is the world going to go backwards a bit maybe?  Why are the major religions so damned certain that their views are correct. This is a reaction to stuff I saw on the news last night :-).

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Indigo Children
April 19, 2005, 12:41:46
Whilst I've not extensively researched the indigo children material-I've had an impression from the little I have read. I have met various youngsters before now whom would fit the label in various ways perhaps, but I'm not personally prepared to label them as fitting into that model. They are individuals. There may well be patterns ADD etc due to the changes in the world for sure. I'm just not that keen on such a label for children that appear to fit that pattern.  Individuals are that-individual. I don't believe they need a new age concept to explain that :-).

Of course I'll have "missed" a whole load of information here in the course of writing this quick reply. This is more a reaction really than a sit down and carefully think out type arguement :-).  Guess I'm not a big fan of the "fluffy" brigage :-).

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Indigo Children
April 18, 2005, 18:21:51
Who on Earth came up with this rather silly notion "indigo" children, like "Starseed" etc. It's all rather mystical, frippery, tinkly tinkly, fluffy new agey ain't it?

Despite being quite used to energy work etc, I cannot get on with such airy fairy stuff, it really genuinely feels like well the British word for nuts :-). It's a lovely comforting little concept for those of us (including me) who perhaps feel particularly individual, slightly (or more) alienated from "normal" society and a dozen variations on that theme of personality. Doesn't make it any more real than any of a number of fantasy, theoretical barmy ideas that folks come out with :-).

Yeah ok, this was a non PC reply of course, gonna be slightly offensive to folks that really dig this particular brand of etherism. However I would be lying big time to myself if I wrapped up this reply in a nice comfortable blanket of tolerant understanding of another belief system ;-). Sometimes you gotta say it as you feel it. As I know someone will in response, hopefully.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Member Poll (?)

CaCoDeMon, you describe eugenics to a T. Nazi in a prior life? :-) No offense meant but you did justify eugenics just there. I am dead set against manmade eugenics and elitist ideals. They are crap, we are not horses etc to be thoroughbred. Actually animals we selectively breed don't completely work out the way we always want. Nature is more vigorous with a wide range of characteristics. Monoculture is near deadly over the very long term-as far as the human race and the eco system is concerned. Be thankful for all the extremes of human genetic expression, it will be that that could possibly save mankind from complete extinction in thousands of years to come.
Nature will do her own work. We just gotta stop undoing it sometimes-clean up our tech and our habits.

1.When I bother, independent IT consultant-gotta live somehow.

2.There are too many people maybe-difficult to be sure, 6 billion sounds too many BUT that might be oversimplifying. I believe nature will balance it out, I don't think mankind is capable of imposing a fair and humane way of doing it himself.

3.Rescued from what exactly?  Sometimes a problem is a problem because of the way we look at it. I don't need rescuing, though I could do with help with using the ability to heal in a more effective way-but I ain't holding my breath on that one. I love the idea of alien/spirit rescuers and all that jazz-however-I don't believe it, and I would never consider waiting on something I in my heart believe is yet another fantasy.

I believe in having to work to achieve a goal really, not sitting back and waiting for it to "manifest" etc etc.  when I work on patients with healing, I burn real calories because I really mean what I am doing. It can be tiring even when only pulling energy through, and I alway end up hot and dripping if it's a serious working. I don't believe in putting my hands on and hoping. and in my life I don't believe in waiting and praying for something to happen. It doesn't.
