Welcome to Magic! / Beware Evil Magic
June 24, 2005, 13:32:15
I find the original post kind of silly. Especially the parts abot "Satan Worshippers" and the like. I think I'll go as far as saying that anyone who actually WORSHIPS satan as an actual entity probably isn't going to be very powerful, period. Furthermore  Nothing is evil and nothing is good. They are both subjective terms created by human beings. They are ideas, not concrete. Dark does not equal evil.

And really, just keep practicing relaxation. You'll get it eventually.

Also, when you are in the trance try to just FEEL the particular areas relaxing more. It's important to become as relaxed as possible though before you get into the trance, as moving around will break this state fairly easy.

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Trancing

No you do not need music to trance. In fact I'd advise against it, because if you use music you'll become conditioned to it, and you won't be able to trance WITHOUT it. If you learn to trance without music or anything else, you will be able to trance when and where you want.

Crystals are only as powerful as you make them. No rocks hold power of their own. You can infuse them with the power of your choice though, and some are better than others. Quartz works as good as any I suppose. But honestly, there's no reason you couldn't use any other piece of stone just as effectivly if you know what you are doing!

Welcome to Magic! / Do not invoke lucifer
June 02, 2005, 16:38:50
QuoteWhere'd they get the name 'Satan' from? I've always wondered that. Surely they would've chosen some other name had they wanted to avoid any christian connotations.

This is how a friend of mine (the one who wrote the page I gave a link for above) answered that question.

QuoteThe term "Satanism" was actually coined by the Roman Catholic Church several centuries ago. Anton LaVey, in spreading the ideas of satanism in the 1960's, embraced the name "Satanism" for its shock value, essentially. Basically, this is all said and done. If we were to try to change it now, everyone would just say "Shut up! You're Satanists! Stop trying to act like you aren't!" If we don't, then a dozen people like you show up per year and ask us why we're called Satanists. We just can't win.

Hope that answers the question.

The Joy of Satan is the WORST website on modern satanism in existance. It's utter stupidity. A friend of mine wrote this site on satanism if you're actually interested.

Satanism is really just the philosophy of self. It has NOTHING. I repeat. NOTHING to do with the christian entity known as satan/lucifer/whatever.

Here is an excellent site on Enchanting. Enjoy.

Also, you may want to read the beginning pages first.

The Library of Knowledge

I've found this website, the forums there, and all the links, and information held within to be invaluable.

Welcome to Magic! / Types of Magick
June 01, 2005, 15:08:07
I'm pretty sure it's just magic in general.
#13
Star Wars is a pretty spiritual trip.
#14
Sometimes it is even simpler. For instance, you steal something, you are eventually caught, and spend time in jail. Cause and effect. Same way magic works. You harm someone, you are most likely going to have to deal with some after effects. A friend of yours might have liked that person, and then be very sad, causing you pain.

Whenever you are using magic that leans towards the darker side ALWAYS find in advance what could be potential effects. This way you will see whether or not it is worth the pain.

Karma in my mind is simply the law of cause and effect. Do something that hurts someone and it will come back to you. This isn't nearly as spiritual as many people think. But since that is not the topic of this post, I won't go into my opinions on this topic.

Magic in and of itself is neither good nor evil (I don't believe in good or evil, but I won't get into that either   ), it simply IS. What can be classified as good or evil (if you think in this way) is the things you are USING magic for.

Here's a great page on enchantment... It might be wise to read the original pages first though.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Teleportation
April 21, 2005, 17:34:49
Sounds like real time projection to me. While out of body it is possible to be where you want as soon as you want to be there (aka teleport). That's most likely what happened.

Quick question. Do you have any experience with OBE's in the past?

Welcome to Metaphysics! / a weird thing happened

Very interesting. The reason being is when I was about 6 or 8 I saw the SAME kind of hand coming out from the door of an outhouse (now a shed) behind my house. I have been assured many times over the years that it was not a prank that my parents pulled on me. It was an EXTREMELY white and decrepid long, ugly, old looking hand. I never really figured out what it was.

Yeah, PsiPog gives soe great information and articles on this and other psi related subjects.[/url]

How long do you suggest (or did it take you) spending on the early exercises found in the NEW system?

I've been working on the MBA exercises up to the awareness hands exercises (pulling them through your legs) but I only started (for a second time) 2 and a half weeks ago. Understandably, everyone is different, and therefore each person will develope the skills necessary to move on at a different pace, but if I see how long the rest of you (who have used this system) took, I may have a slightly better idea of what I should be expecting.

Note: I am using the version of NEW found in the book Astral Dynamics.

Welcome to Magic! / Spell Junkie, or Spellcrafter?
September 30, 2004, 20:48:50
I was just wondering who here makes their own spells, and who uses other peoples. Do you think it's important to "craft" your own spells, or do you think that a spell should be a tried and true classic?

Welcome to Members Introductions! / Hey everyone
September 10, 2004, 07:30:37
Hey, I actually joined this forum awhile back, but I haven't been active until more recently. I am a practicioner (sp?) of magic in general at the moment (though I am concentrating more on the 4 'raw' elements than anything). I recently became much more interested in astral projection, and figured this would be a good place to come and do some reading. [:)] Hopefully I'll get to know you guys better!

No offence again, but I've done it myself, and therefore seen it happen, so I know it's possible to use dark magic on someone and make sure it doesn't do permanent damage. You just have to no what you're doing. And yes it is possible to effect someone for life, but it's not a rule. And "curses" can be removed, unless maybe the magician casting the curse is extreamly powerful, and I've never met anyone like this... doesn't mean they're not out there, just saying, a spell a newbie to black magic like Zarklon here most likely wouldn't be able to effect his step father for years, and his spells would not be so powerful that they couldn't be "countered" if I may use the term.
#24
"Wow, I agree with Rastus on something. This is a family problem and believe me enough "black magic" has already gone on with you and his family obssessing and probably wishing him dead in pure anger. "

No offence, but WISHING has nothing to do with magic. It's wishing, and that's all. True magic is using energy to a certain effect. "Energy" is the basis of all magic, and you can't use this energy by just wishing it to work. If this were the case we'd all have everything we've ever dreamed of and everyone could be considered a magician, because EVERYONE wishes...

"if this guy really deserves it & you perform black magick.
be prepared to see him suffer for years & not being able to stop it.
his life will go into a terrible decline, can you live with that?"

I completely disagree with this. The only way the step father would be suffering for years is if you specifically cast a spell on him that would stay in effect for years. If you decide to make a spell that only lasts a certain amount of time, and all goes right, it's not gonna last for years. The other way this might happen is if you just start flinging dark energy around and hope it does something bad to the target. This is a bad practice, and totally pointless if you actually want to effect a particular aspect of their life. If you use dark magic this way, (i.e. throwing energy to the universe and hoping something out there does what you wanted to do with the energy in the first place) it will end up not working at all, doing something you don't want it to (have a longer lasting effect than initially intended), or bounce right back at you. Carelessness is not an option when working with dark energies. You must focus it to do what you want it to do, and make sure it does it!
