Thats what happens to me most of the time is that I lose lucidity and end up falling asleep, then they just turn into a dream..

Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Trapped?

If youre in the astral, you should be able to go right through walls and doors.. If you are having a lucid dream, you are in control of everything, you could just imagine a door behind you and walk through it.

Depending on things you believe in.. Not sure if you have read anything about aliens and the Dulce Base..   in the Dulce Book by Branton, it says that the aliens have ways to detect and capture people/spirits if they are AP'ing.

I once had laughter all around me when returning to my body. It sounded kind of like evil laughter, not nice laughter.. I just laughed back and it stopped and I woke up.

All my other projections before seemed to be spontaneous. This one I kept dozing off then would suddenly 'wake up' with vibrations.. this kept happening for a few hours. Finally the vibrations were very strong and I felt myself get sucked out from my feet.

I started spinning, and then stopped myself and wanted to get out of the house, I couldnt see until I did, then one eye popped open, then the other. I had never been able to see before. It was dark and rainy out, I didnt recognize anywhere, didnt look like my neighborhood.  I told myself I wanted to go to the house on White Oak, that I always dream about.

After I got there, it seemed to turn more dream like. I guess i started falling asleep more??  I got the the house and tried to go through the wall, and couldnt. Then a hatch opened up and I went in. My parents were there. They looked at me and I said " I just got here, can you believe it!?"  They didnt seem to know what I was talking about.

I asked for some water and they said " we just packed everything up, this is all there is" it was an old plastic pot from a plant and he had filled it with water, I took a drink and there was sand in it..  I told him that didnt help, now i cant get the sand out of my mouth..  then I guess I woke up.

So what happened? Did my projection slowly turn into a dream?

Its in my title:

Before, During or After REM
When is the best time to project?

Most all of my OBEs have been spontaneous, or contained within dreams. Everytime I try to do it, I can get pretty far usually to REM sleep and still totally concious, but I dont know if its after that or before that is when projection is most likely.

Any help?

Last night I woke up around 2:30 am, figured I would try some techniques I had just read in Astral Dynamics. I tried for about an hour and a half to relax and project but finally gave up and decided to sleep.

After about 15 min or so of 'giving up' I work up a bit with the vibrations, so I figured ok, I will pull on the rope, and I felt myself pull out that instant. I just floated around a bit, but couldnt really see anything although I was trying to see my body, but I didnt. Then I felt like I floated outside the wall of my bedroom. I remember the book saying dont stay out too long, so I tried to go back to my body, and I felt myself back to the vibrations.

I thought to myself, well Im back, and still have the vibrations so why dont I try to go back out.  So I pulled at the rope and I was back out immediately..  More floating, then I told myself to go somewhere.  I ended up in the house I grew up in that all my dreams take place.  This is where I think it turned into a lucid dream while I was outside my body because my parents were in the house and I was talking to them.  If it was a lucid dream, that was the first Ive ever had, it was so crystal clear and for all I knew I was really there!

After exploring the house a bit and even finding details about the house that I had totally forgotten, I figured I better get back.  I came back to my body, and I was in paralysis.   While in paralysis I felt like someone was standing behind me and holding my arm and was hearing giggling in my ears, it was really eerie, it kind of freaked me out.   I rember reading that you sometimes hear voices and things while in paralysis so I tried to ignore it and even laughed back and I was finally free of the paralysis..

So, did I go from an OBE into a lucid dream? Or what exactly happened?

This has happend to me twice in the past two months, but never before that.

The first time I woke up around 3am for no reason, which is typical for me, and I just try to go back asleep. I remember trying to fall asleep and just clear my mind, I started concentrating on my breathing, in and out, and that is all I was thinking. Then I started to feel and hear vibrations, starting slow and gettinging gradually faster. All the sudden I felt my self lift up and start floating around my room. I felt like I was in the position that I was laying in, I couildnt move physically, but I could spin every direction and float from wall to wall and the ceiling.. Also during this, without sounding gross, it almost felt orgasmic, like a constant orgasm is all i can describe it as. lol, but there was nothing sexual about it.

Im not sure how long it lasted, but I think it kind of freaked me out and I felt like I dropped down and woke up. .. I tried to do it again, concentrating on my breathing. I got the vibrations, but nothing more.

The next time was about a month later, basically the same thing, but for a shorter period of time.

I hear people talking about that they see everything around them. During this, I couldnt really see, but I definately felt it.  I read somewhere that you have to 'open your eyes' or it will just be black. IS that what happened with me? I just needed to open my eyes?

I dont think it was just a dream because I have dreams all the time, and remember them well, alot of times I will fly in dreams, but this felt as though I actually were, and plus I had the vibrations Ive heard others talk about.

Yeah Im hoping to have a 'real' OBE where I can see soon!

Yeah when I felt myself leaving my body, I told myself I should go somewhere this time, and of course the first thing I thought of, i guess I will go to the 'old house' and instantly I was there.  I wish I would have stayed out longer and explored more places.

Yeah I definately think it was kind of an OBE and lucid dream combo. I read about it a day or so ago in Rober Bruces book, he talked about that sort of thing. It was definately very lucid like I was there, unlike any other dream ive ever had.

The reason I dont think it was a total true OBE is because my parents were there. I really dont think they would be AP'ing and be right there at the same time.

Yeah Im the same way, all my dreams take place in my childhood home. This one was really cool because I was able to get up close to things and examine them. There was even the kitchen wallpaper I was looking at and had totally forgotten about long ago.
