I experience similar surges of energy like what you've described

For me it started when I was quite small, around 12 or younger. I'd be doing normal everyday things when all of a sudden I would feel this huge surge of energy travelling up my spine and for some reason it always felt cold and blue and would shock me so much that my entire body would physically shudder for a second or two (not shivers, like transient shuddering where it starts off as a huge shake and reduces in intensity with time)

It used to happen anytime, anywhere without any provocation from me and as time went by they got more frequent to the point that I got used to them and can now control them pretty well.

I can summon one up (I call them Zaps because they feel like immense surges of energy) whenever I want and have tried experimenting a few times with friends and on my own

Once my friend dragged me down to Edinburgh to meet some net friends of his and we stayed out pretty late to the point where a fast and VERY piercing cold wind was cutting through every layer of clothing our group was wearing. Everyone started hugging onto their significant others and cuddling, shaking and shivering visibly in a desperate attempt to keep warm (we were quite far away from any open establishments).

Same was happening to me and as I wasn't expecting such cold weather I didn't have as thick clothing as the others and as the wind sliced right through me I really thought I might die if it kept up

What I did was called up a 'zap', held it stationary momentarily and instructed it to dissipate throughout my upper body (its origin seems to be solar plexus)

Suddenly.. the wind hitting me was no longer cold and cutting, but felt like a very warm summer wind (it was still blowing as hard, but now felt like +25 degrees C rather than the -15 degrees C it felt like previous)

I know the wind hadn't really changed in temperature as the people around me were still desperately cuddling like mad and jumping, swearing from the cold  

Still haven't figured out what the energy did to make the wind feel so warm, but I was just grateful I no longer felt like I was dying from the cold.

I have a friend in Canada who I talk to about spiritually sometimes and once we tried an experiment where I would go into a darkened place (my unlit hallway), close my eyes and picture her image and name floating in space, call up a 'zap' and send / direct it towards her.

I concentrated moderately for about a minute before going to ask her for results on her end (I was in the UK, she is in Canada)

What happened next was not anticipated as her entire apartment block lost electricity for 5 minutes.

When she came back online to try to tell me what happened I sent another before she could finish and the same thing happened, her block of flats lost electricity for another 5 minutes  

What she managed to tell me afterwards though was that when we were experimenting, just prior to the electricity going off she said she felt a 'mad buzzing' in her solar plexus

After that encounter we only tried once more since and I didn't concentrate as hard this time, just sat in a chair listening to my soft music, closed my eyes momentarily to visualise her name and image and sent a 'soft' zap (i've learnt to throttle how much energy I call up over the years) and shortly afterwards she was saying her radio and fire alarm were acting crazy, going on and off randomly and the radio changing stations every few seconds or something  

I've only tried to use it for healing once and it was for a stranger whom I only knew by name. Had some rather.. amusing effects lol

I originally thought she was in America and therfore 5 hours behind UK time. I didn't want to test sending any 'healing' (that was the intention anyway) while she was at the computer so I timed my effort for 4pm that afternoon, assuming it would be 11am her time and therefore nowhere near a computer. What happened was that later that evening we bumped into each other again and I asked her if anything strange happened at 11 o clock 'her time'. It was then that she clarifed that she wasn't actually in America, but in Glasgow, 2 hours by train from me!

A honest mistake, but her next bit of information was quite funny  

Finding out that she was actually in the same time zone as me prompted the question: "so did anything strange happen at 4pm today then? " and she thought for a bit then said "ah! at 4pm I was at the supermarket checkout when the till just stopped working all of a sudden and it was mortifying as the cashier had to call out over the public address system to get prices and checks for the Tena Lady (female hygiene products) I was buying for my mom!!"

There are other things I have tried with this energy including protection barrier and (if needed [only once/twice so far]) assault class visualisations and energy direction, but I wont get into that here as those drain the energy from me like nothing else, I yawn constantly and feel absolutely tired after only a few seconds of these types of visualsations.

So, to sum it all up those are my experiences so far with controlling and manipulating this energy (whatever it is) and for some reason everytime I use it the electricity always seems to fail or electronic components malfunction

I've been seeing these for some years now, still haven't quite figured out what they are though.

I first noticed them as a student when I was relaxing on the sofa one late afternoon just staring blankly up at the sky when I started seeing all these tiny specks of white light moving around the sky randomly much like pollen grains on the surface of water.

I thought I was just seeing things until I tried an experiment and told some fellow engineering students sitting beside me to look out the window up at the sky for 30 seconds to a minute and describe what they see.. all of them described the exact same thing; tiny specks of white light moving around randomly in the sky!

As far as I can tell these are not 'bits of dust' on the surface of the eyeball as they emit pure white light and move around fast and randomly. I once witnessed one speck of light 'chasing' another speck of light all around the sky, weaving in and out in between all the other hundreds of specks of light  

Now whenever I look up at the sky I see them instantly and there are always hundreds if not thousands of them.. what could they be?
