I have been practicing getting to the mind awake / body asleep phase for lucid dreaming/OBE's and I am having a lot of trouble with my chakras. It seems as I am just about enter the body asleep phase, a random chakra will activate. They are usually the Abdomen, Heart, and Throat chakras. The energy is so intense that it will pull me back out. The energy doesn't slowly ramp up, it's a full on blast of energy and startles me right out of my skin. Even nights I don't try to go lucid this will happen and it makes it difficult to get any sleep some nights. These are not exit vibrations that I feel. The exit vibes have a distinctly different feel to them.

So my question to you, is there anything I can do before I lie down at night so these energies do not interfere with my attempts for LD/OBE's or even just a good nights sleep?

Quote from: FrankThe dream characters you say you are protecting yourself from, are you in the first place. And why on earth do you believe anyone would intend you harm? With respect, it sounds like you have been watching too much Star Wars and the like. Those are just movies and are not meant to be taken literally. Jedi forces don't exist, someone just made it up and it caught the imagination of the public at large. In reality, the only influences you are prone to are the emanation of those energies that are within you in the first place.

Yours,
Frank

Don't get me wrong, I know "Jedi powers" are not real. I had been learning object manipulation for some time in my lucid dreams. I became lucid in a chase dream, taking what I had previously learned about moving objects in dreams I halted the DC and overcame the fear, turning a bad dream into a very nice LD to explore in.

Only reason I asked about protection is that I have read accounts of people encountering entities not so friendly while traveling and was frightened by them.

I have one more quick question for you all.

While learning to Lucid Dream, I have overcome many nightmares by the use of dream powers, namely telekinesis. I have become extremely proficient at it. Anytime something frightens me or tries to cause me harm, I will just raise my hand and they will be thrown backwards (sort of like Force Push, a Jedi power    ) I know for a fact that dream characters can be stopped cold in their tracks with this method. It hasn't failed me yet.

Can you also use this power during an OBE on astral entities that intends you harm?

QuoteHow close are you staying to your physical body?

When I roll out I always end up either lying or crawling on the floor within a foot of the bed. I feel totally spent of energy. Next time I get out I will try and make my way out of the room the best I can.

I have read about spirits drawing energy from around them and creating cold spots. I wonder if we can use this "free energy" as well?

QuoteDeep breathing works for me and clears up exit blindness.

One morning I awoke into a total black void and I'm not sure if it was an OBE or L-Dream. Anyway, I tried in vain to open my eyes. I had to take my hands and pull them open. Even then I couldn't see that well for a few minutes. After some time my vision cleared and I could see exceptionally well.

I have managed to have 3 very short OBEs and every time I was out it felt like I weighed a ton and could hardly move. Why is this so and is there anything I can do once out to pull energy towards myself?

The technique I use, is to get into a floating sensation then begin to spin up and to the right. It is sort of a sideways corkscrew motion. Your body should be totally paralyzed by this stage. Once you feel comfortable spinning, consciously think of your body rolling out (rolling out with the direction of the spin).
