I do agree on those points, but just like people have used specific binaural beats presets without knowing what they do and had success I believe you could take calea and have it affect you in the manner it is claimed to even without knowing what it does. I believe that intent and knowing with certainty are a huge catalyst for manifestation of things but I still believe that the herb does have qualities that can induce a specific type of dreams. I don't know much about how it interacts with the human body, so I cannot say how it does this.

The indians have been using calea for years, I don't think you can say that any drug has a placebo effect just because it works for some and not others. You can say that in all people it will have the capacity to have differing levels of effectiveness due to a number of circumstances and a number of factors involved. Different plants will also cause different levels of effectiveness, as will different harvesting methods and different times of harvest.
The Nova dreamer is no longer on the market and was retailing at well over 500 dollars. Certain herbs are well renowned for causing lucid dreaming, dream recall and many other things.  Calea isnt supposed to induce OBE on demand. It is supposed to induce a longer dream state where you can ask the spirit of calea to assist you with a problem psychically and then take it. I would agree that perhaps some drugs do just relax you enough to be in a trance and hence receive visions if this is your intent, i believe that Kava would be such a drug, but I don't agree that Calea is a placebo just because for me it has not had any effect. If I take the extract and it works then i will be even more convinced that this is not the case, because i have only used one supplier of Calea and the extract is coming from a different supplier. Personally I have not just tried herbs to do these things, I have tried many, many different methods and looked at all options involved, using the herbs is just one of many things I have tried.

I have taken up to 8 capsules at the one time with crushed herb but they were not huge capsules. That has no effect on me. I have smoked it and drunk a tea, but the person I know who did have great experience with astral travel with it chewed up the gross leaves and you have to chew a lot of them! It really does make you want to gag.
I have now ordered the extract.
I have taken the capsules that I made by just by stuffing the leaves in there instead of grinding them up first and taken them with mugwort tea, it made me more aware of my heartbeat but that is all. I took it before bed, so maybe taking it in the early hours of the morning would be better.

I have used Calea Z and it does nothing for me. I have tried various methods to AP or OBE or Lucid but all to no avail so far. I was suprised, I thought Calea might do something but it had no effect on me at all. I have drank the tea, smoked some, taken capsules all of the leaf, but have not tried to make an extract or bought an extract.

I mostly do channeling through writing and drawing. I recieved that information and a swirly picture to go with it that means new life.
