Oh my god, Gandalf, be careful.

Here's an interesting quote from the book Pharmako/poeia by Dale Pendell:

Effects

After the first glass you see thigns as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, and this is the most horrible thing in the world. --Oscar Wilde (in Conrad 1988)

One glass is very wonderful! I've done three. Haven't had absinthe (watered down kind) since...

Good link, Major. I like jilola's info about pressing tongue to roof of mouth and adding a small bit of suction as well as Jame's book suggestion for Paul Wilson's calm series.

My question MadLord is how do you get your jaw that relaxed!!!???? I'd love to know because I have the opposite problem. I always have tongue to roof of mouth, but I further that with clenched jaw.

I do all kind's of jaw exercises and stretches. Alexander technique was mentioned in that thread as well. I've worked with Feldenkrais method.

All very interesting indeed.

It's an energetic action, too, if you work with TCM, tai chi, chi kung, etc, to keep the tongue touched to the roof of the mouth. Completes the energy circuit.

Teehee.

Iz happened to me, too.

I'm musing here, so bear with me.

I'm a very slow assimilator of knowledge. I've been exploring the unseen realms for my whole life yet still don't have much of a clue. Sometimes I read something here or elsewhere that gets my mind thinking thinking thinking. If I'm lucky it all comes together with all these other musings in my head as a complete whole thought and direction. This can be immediate. Most times it's years in the making.

Sometimes when I think I have the thought, the AHAH!, I get very smug in my knowledge and go about spouting off. Course when I realize again I really have no clue, I'm embarrased that I did that!

This place is huge and perhaps we're all going through these cycles. Makes for stimulating and frustrating readings and responses.

Oops, gotta go.

That's kind of an interesting way to get a conversation going, Jason.  :)

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Psi Wheel problems

Thanks, Darren. You've given me the motivation to try again, too.

Repulsion, attraction. Come to me, little psi wheel.

I don't have anything to add, just wanted to say thanks all. This thread and all your comments have given me lots to contemplate. I too have been wondering about breath and energy movement.

And I parallel the "You are what you eat" phrase with one by Aristotle that goes: "We are what we repeatedly do."

I'm pretty literal so I too had trouble with the phrase you are what you eat.  Just like I could never get my mind around the religious concept of eating the body and drinking the blood of God/Jesus  I'm way too literal to have ever got comfortable with that one.

Aristotle's works better for me (maybe because I came across later on). If I sit and watch tv and don't do anything else, that's what I become--a great but flabby tv watcher. If I work my brain, I end up with a good brain. If I keep active, I end up with a fit and healthy body. If I focus on meditating or astral journeys or...

Jaimie, that sounds just terrible! Have you tried Robert Bruce's book _Practical Psychic Self-Defense_? There are a number of interesting methods in there you may find helpful. I think the water methods may be just the thing for you. You don't have to concentrate or focus so much. Just use moving water to help clear the negs.

As a medical person you are daily subjected to all sorts of negatives that can affect you.  This combined with the specific negative attacks, wow.

I think some type of energy work might help. Tai chi, chi kung, that sort of thing. Though, maybe not at first, till you rid yourself of some of these negs. Many people in the health field find it important to learn how to protect their own energy from drain by patients and to increase their energy through chi kung practices.

Thanks, Li Yun. I'll do that.

Anyone?

My suggestion is to try and be self-sufficient till you figure what's what. If you go accepting just any spiritie as a guide you may just end up with a big ole fat-head neg sucking your mojo.
#13
Thanks very much, Tom.  I will now try the method using my own mental patterns. Be interesting to see if I get different results.

Is there a specific NLP website or resource that you would suggest? I hadn't heard of it before and after taking a cruise around the web in search of it I'm a bit overwhelmed.

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone else has been overcome with extreme fatigue after beginning neg removal through Bruce's in his book _Practical Psychic Self-Defense_?

I've made a doctor's appointment to get checked out, but man, am I tired. I would be very glad to learn this is simply a side-effect of neg removal and will pass...

Here's a question about the three screen Silva method.

First a description of the three screen method: You show the present situation and problems in front of you on a mental screen, move the screen to the left and work on fixing the problems, then move the screen again to the left and picture you or whoever you're working on as being in perfect health with problems gone. Voila. All is good.

Okay, my question to all of you relates to the direction of the screens. Silva noted after much observation that the the present moved to the left and the past to the right. This is why he set up the screens to move into the future--to the left.

For me this has always felt incorrect. If I view the history of man, starting from organisms moving out of the oceans, to present, to future man, the past is to the left and the future to the right.

I've recently come across information about scientific studies done on the "coding of eye-accessing locations." It used to be thought that most of us were "lefties" with remembered information being connected to an upward right eye movement and constructed images connected to upward left eye movements. You know the old cop novels where the cop new someone was lying when answering a question because suspect looked up and to the left (so making it up) rather than up and to the right?

Yeah, I'd be in jail because, thing is, there are also "righties" where the eye movements and thought retrieval  are opposite, so memories are left and constructed thoughts are to the right. And, there are centres, too. People who just look up.

So, long time getting around to the question. Do you suppose if I switched the screens to coincide with my view of past, present, future, that that would be okay and I wouldn't set off some strange sequence of events?

It is quite amazing how well Silva's methods work.

Hi Luna,

Nice to meet you.

I've only just begun using the white light method myself, and have had good results. I am intrigued by how you use it in the shower. I'll have to give it a go.

Take a look around. This place is huge!

Right, and the tension goes away too.

Mactombs, the absolute all time best I've come across (and this is my speciality don't you know), and you'll never believe the exercises are effective until you actually try them, are Pete Egoscue's methods. Try his book _Pain Free_.

The Supine Groin Stretch will knock you out. And YES you must do the full ten minutes!

I call them the Pain pain goes away stretches.   :D

Mmmhmm, I've also read it's the astral body sorta bumping in and out when you're not quite asleep. I think that's true. But I also think it goes in with the body being tense like a few of you have said.

When you're tense, you're also blocking energy. So as you fall off to sleep, some relaxing goes on, which releases energy and Whamo energy jolt occurs at it flows again.

Tai chi students I have spoken with have noticed a big decline in this just falling asleep jolting after they've been working with tai chi's energy harmonizing movements for a while.

And here's an interesting thing. If you're really tense, many of those tense muscles won't relax even if you sleep because you're nervous system says, Oh, this is the new default. Just the thought of all that bound up energy gives me a headache. Flow energy flow!

Oops, now that I'm done my ranting, and I do agree with Nostic. And alexd I love your signature line: Take and transmutate these leaden grudges into GOLD, I'd say that's energy movement Gandalf!

Do you think it's linked with your APing? Can you take that energy and drop it down to a location about three fingers beneath your navel and about the same distance inside your belly? That's a great and safe place, the lower dantien, to store energy.
#22
I was talking with an acupuncturist I know because I've been concerned about the ramifications of teaching someone an energy system quite different than Kundalini if they've been raising energy by Kundalini methods.

He said you don't need to worry about teaching a new safer way to work with the energy. The downward force is not bad.

And that where people end up with a lot of troubles with Kundalini practices is when their bodies are not adequately prepared for working with fire energy and then the energy goes blasting blockages all the way up to the head. Some people end up not a pretty sight, apparently, because damage occurs inside to the nervous system, brain included.  Loopy tunes.

Adequate preparation rules!

Sounds wonderful.

For me, I work with TCM/taoist yoga type energy movements, so I would complete the microcosmic orbit...by bringing the energy down to the third eye (upper dantien area), down through the mouth, touch the tongue to the roof of your mouth to connect the energy circuit, down through the throat, thymus, heart, solar plexus (middle dantien area), down below the navel to the lower dantien.

The circuit moves actually from, oh, depending on what you're doing, from your lower dantien, through your genitals, pelvic floor, perineum, and up around to the sacrum, up the spine, base of skull to top of head and down and around to the lower dantien.

Thing is, if you're raising Kundalini, which I know little about, bringing energy down is apparently bad. So...grain of salt time, right?

If you've meditated before you can likely go less than 100 to 1. Experiment and go with the number that feels "right" so you can ease into alpha without stress.

Ha, how true. Focus is a big thing. Maintaining a calm relaxed focus can help you to stay in alpha.

You're the perfect age to learn. It's so great you can start now with such simple, easy, effective techniques that'll bring you many benefits over your lifetime.

:D

Teehee, Teomim.

And Sinaquanon sounds incredibly cool, too.
