An "Altar" of some kind works well. You can adorn it with "Sigils", candles, etc. You could also have a Incense Burner there burning either Sage or some kind of Pine Forest scent. A Crystal Ball on the table with some of your favorite Crystals and unique stones works as well.
You could use a tablecloth on your Altar with a moon and stars print. You can find these on other Magick stores on the web.
Use your imagination. You have stated your theme. What do these things represent to you?

Actually, it's nothing special, it is simply how your vision works.
When you 'stare' at something, the image stagnates and doesn't update properly.
All your senses do this kind of thing.
If you stay in a smelly room, eventually the "smell" goes away.
If you hear something for long enough, the "sound" eventually becomes part of the background.
If you put your hand in warm water, eventually the feeling of the water disappears.
This is also why you blink... it "resets" the image you're seeing. Any movement causes this action to trigger.
You can use this to project with your eyes open actually... but it requires you to not move for a very long time. LOL Easier said than done... but if you're able to, eventually you'll end up seeing "nothing".
That point when you see "nothing" is actually when what we call "the void" kicks in. It's what you see when there's nothing to see.

If you want to start an all protein diet it wouldn't be smart to rely only on vegetal proteins since they don't contain all the essential amino acids your system needs. (These are the ones your body unable to synthetize). And these amino acids are essential for the uptake of the other amino acids, so without them you would be in a serious trouble in the long run.
I am a vegetarian too, and I consume dairy to avoid that. Another option could be recombinant proteins produced by microorganisms, but I'm not sure if they are used for nutrition purposes by humans, at least not where I live.
Also, you should ask your doctors about metabolic acidosis whet it comes to all protein diet.
