Yes it did definately feel different, but is hard to explain, I kind of felt like myself but not, I felt like a projection of my own body, if that makes any sense lol. I can't really explain how it felt.

Hey All, Haven't posted here in a while but had an amazing experience I wish to share, it all started with the dream I was having last night.

I dreamt that I was eating little fish out of my pond at home because they tasted really nice, but I ate too many and started to feel sick, I learned that tonic water made you feel better after eating little fishes so I tried to go find some. I couldn't find any so I started to make potatoes in gravy. I then went to see a doctor because I wasn't getting better, after I told him that I'd ate live fish he said I'd need a kidney transplant as I'd most likely got kidney disease, I thought this was totally ridiculous and it must be a dream.

At this point I kind of woke up, rolled over in bed and went back to sleep. But I held onto the lucidity I had just felt and realised I was in the mind awake body asleep stage, I could feel very intense vibrations and tried to go out of body, I tried opening my eyes at first but could feel my real eyes opening. I then relaxed and just came out, first opening my astral eyes and then rising out of my body, I came into what felt like my bedroom but was different, there was my bed but everything was layed out differently and it was a two storey room. I looked at my hands and asked for more clarity, I met an old woman who told me she was my guide, she seemed to have been waiting a while for me (I've been trying for a conscious OBE for a few years now), she was telling me how some things would be the same and some would be different, she pointed out my brothers who were playing a computer game with each other, but they couldn't see me. I was focusing too much on my vision as I wear glasses in real life and my vision became blurred until I realised I wasn't using my eyes and then it became clear again.
The woman led me to a door and told me to open it and walk through, it led on to a garage area with a van in it...I think this is where I went back into a dream.

The woman told me to get on the roof of the van and she got in the drivers seat, a dirty homeless looking man climbed on the van and started attacking us with a length of chain. The old woman turned into my girlfriend and I started goading the old man to attack me instead of her.

After that I woke up and started writing down everything I remembered.
A few other things: in another part of the experience I remember being pulled through a cloudscape kind of place, I wasn't flying myself but being pulled through by an unknown force, I'm not sure where this came on the chronology of the experience but I remember it.

I also remember feeling fearful and nervous before I came out of my body, but when I was out I just felt elation and happiness, it was he happiest I've felt in a while as in the real world I seem to walk about with a sack of potatoes on my shoulders, I felt so light and free when I was out of body.

Well that's all of my experience, sorry for writing so much but I had to share everything that happened last night as it was probably the best dream/OBE experience I've ever had.

ok i just got outta bed and wnna post this trange experience i just had.

First off i started in a dream and i was going through these hallways that were pure white, it was like a puzzle game, i had to go trough each level and i had objectives to complete, but knew that when i was finished i was going to have an obe, so i was going through these hallways reading stuff about myself and loved ones, and i had to stop people and talk to them, (it's almost all gone, i can hardly remember anything). Anyway i got to the end of the 5 levels and i had to choose from a list of options, the options were something like:
Out of body experience with loved ones: short, long, or medium
Wake up with memory
Go back to a dream of loved ones
there were some more options (it was so much like a computer game)

It was like an options panel you get in a game, obviously i picked, out of body experience: long.
I was transported to a place with a long white stone path and rolling green hills, there were many tables and chairs scattered all over and the place was littered with people. I tried to move around and i felt really sluggish, i thought i must have been still in my body, so i thought to myself: "I'll sit in one of the chairs and when i get up I'll leave my body behind" so i sat down, concentrated for a few seconds, and leapt up! everything became so clear, i was floating around this place trying to find my friends. i passed endless crowds of people, until i found my crowd, they were wearing pale robes and had cone shaped hats and some of them were carrying balloons, i talked to someone i cant remember who it was, i remember i wanted to see my deceased uncle, it had been one of my objectives in my previous dream, he was standing in front of me with his back to me, i tried to move in front of him and speak to him and thats all i remember.

does anyone think this could have been my first OBE? or just a very strange and in depth dream?

Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Can't Relax

i've been having problems lately with relaxing my body into a mind awake/body asleep state, i havent ever projected but the closest i came happened about 6 weeks ago i think:
I was in bed relaxing as i always do, trying to let my body fall asleep, i got to the state of numbness and vibrations (have been in this state a few times) and decided to try and exit technique, i had tried the roll out before but it never works for me, maybe i do it wrong but it just moves my body and wakes me up. So i decided to do the rope technique, i could feel my body rising but slowly, and i kinda got stuck, it felt like my astral body was half in/half out, and then one of my eyes fell open (dunno why that happened) but nevertheless it pretty much ended the experience.

After this experience which was roughly about 6 weeks ago, i havent even come close to vibrations again, i try and relax most nights, before i go to bed, and sometimes in the morning too, but i cant even get to a state of numbness, also when i try it at night i try for about 30 mins, then when i finally give up i feel just wide awake and cant even sleep.
I used to use a visualation technique to relax me more, where i would imagine different colours, and as the colours changed so it would put me into a deeper state of relaxation, and then by the last colour i'd usually be having vibrations, but not even this is working for me anymore.
I'm starting to get very frustrated and a little desperate i guess i just want this a little too much.
I guess i just need some new techniques, my old ones just dont seem to work anymore.

i'll appreciate any advice given. Eas :)

i do have this same problem when relaxing, whenever i get into a deep state of relaxation and start feeling vibrations my heart starts racing and  get real excited cause it makes me think im close, i think im quite impatient too.

i had an experience the other day and its probably the closest ive come to being out, i was relaxing for ages and i got close to a state of having vibrations and i did a visualisation exercise once i had finished that i was having intense vibrations, i tried the rolling out technique as people have said this is the easiest but whenever i try this my body moves instead and wakes me up lol, so i tried the rope technique instead and it felt as if my body was halfway out and i couldnt go any further, then for some reason one of my eyes opened on its own which woke me up then i couldnt get back to where i was.

since then i havent been able to properly relax everytime i try some relaxing exercises i get really uncomfortable and have to move

i think that for projection then the younger the better, because young people have such vast imagination and their minds can just accept stuff, whereas adults are more prone to question stuff and just disbelieve it without proof, well that's my experience anyway.
Hope that makes sense

wow this post has got me quite intrigued, i was in the staff room at work the other day sitting down drinking by tea and looking out the windows, daydreaming. the sky was blue with a few clouds so i was kinda looking at a bright sky from a dim room, i started to see little balls of light moving around, i thought it might of been dust reflecting from the light but it couldn't have been because they moved around with a will of their own, i eventually concluded that they must have been microscopic insects in the air, visible to me because my they had light reflected off them and my eyes had adjusted to the light.
But could these balls of light be energy as you describe it Tom?

edit: i just conducted a little test, in the staff room i couldn't tell if the particles were inside or outside. Since i sit next to a window i decided to try and see the particles again, i could and i determined they were definitely outside, i thought that if they were inside they must just be bugs of some sort, but now i see it outside maybe you are right maybe it is energy.
I tried the index finger test but my eyes go out of focus too easily when I'm looking at something close to me, ill try again later when i go home

i have mastering astral projection but i haven't even started the course yet, i gave up on mobile body awareness which is pretty much day 1, just because i cant get my head around it, I'm just dumb tho, i suggest you buy mastering astral projection its a good book for someone with determination (not me)

so you've been reincarnated and you remember your previous life paker?
do you remember what happened after your death and before your reincarnation or was it immediate?

before i went on holiday last year i was having dreams about swimming every week usually about 3 dreams a week, they were always different but in it i was always an amazing swimmer, whereas in real life i couldn't swim and i had a fear of deep water deep being where my feet couldn't touch the bottom, i went on holiday and i learned to swim, not very well but i could swim, after i came back the dreams stopped, i knew that the dreams signified a longing to learn to swim, and when i came home i thought about going to the swimming pool at least once a week, although i didn't, i haven't swam once since my holiday and the swimming dreams have started again, not as frequent as before, but they have come back.

The swimming and almost drowning wasn't really almost drowning it just that i head my head underwater for a little while which i really hate doing, ill wrote down here what i wrote down this morning, i know there was more to this dream but this is all i can remember:
I was in the sea wading out to where the level reached my neck, but the waves were high and many times they went over my head. One wave went over me and pulled me back a little to a point where my feet couldn't reach the bottom and my head was underwater (this is my biggest fear). I was scared but i held my breath and waited for the next wave, as it came and pushed me i started swimming, i reached the shore quite quickly. It was a cool experience if not a little scary.

I would not have been smart enough in real life to have acted this way, if i got the a point where my feet couldn't reach the bottom then i would panic and start thrashing around lol, maybe this dream is trying to teach me huh?

is there such a thing as a wake induced dream or are there only wake induced lucid dreams?
i woke up this morning and immediately remembered my dream that I'd had whilst sleeping, was about swimming and almost drowning and stuff, anyways Ive wrote that down.
So i was lying in bed and i decided to have a lie in, i didn't fall asleep because i kept thinking about getting up, i started thinking about a scenario where i was in my house and it was overrun by monsters, i had to kill these monsters but it was kind of difficult (as I'm writing this I've almost forgot the whole thing) i cant remember much of these monsters but i know i had a sword and i was attacking them with that. After a while i was in a field and there were groups of people training with swords, they looked like Jedi (last night i was playing on star wars: knights of the old republic for quite a while) and some had normal swords, some had the staff swords like the one Darth maul had in episode 1, i went over to them and asked if i could train with them, they didn't respond, later on the leader came to me, i guess this could have been the Jedi master. I told him that i wanted to join them and train with them so that i could grow stronger and defeat these monsters in my house, the master started examining me, he grabbed my head and started inspecting it, he was looking at my head from different angles, looking deep into my mind. He said that i wasn't;t ready yet but i should keep playing pool and one day i would be able to join (whats the hell? Pool?).

I think that's about it there may have been more but i don't remember, I'm almost certain Ive dreamed about these monsters before, but i cant exactly remember, nor can i remember what the monsters looked like.
During the whole thing i was quite awake and wondering if i should get up yet or carry on with this dream/imagination thing.
i wasn't lucid at all during the whole dream, hmmm now I'm confusing myself, since i cant remember much i may have been lucid but the whole thing seems so long ago even tho it was this morning.
So was it a wake induced dream, or maybe even a wake induced lucid dream? or just my imagination running away with me?
I do have a very active imagination, a few years back i started thinking about this little scenario at school, i decided to start writing a little story in word, before i knew it, it was 15-20 pages long (cant exactly remember and i don't have the story anymore), anyway it was quite long, so thats how active my imagination is. soz for the long post didn't really mean to write so much.

I have the twitches quite often when right on the verge of falling asleep, i have both of the types that cat meow mentioned, #1 when I'm just falling asleep i start thinking or dreaming that I'm kicking a football against a wall and on about the third kick my leg takes a massive swing lol, quite funny at the time,
and i just have other twitches too that seem to be not related to anything

lol have you even read a book on astral projection Ive read astral dynamics and Robert Bruce actually says that the way to prove AP is real is to take a card, stick it against a window, go and project, go through the window, look at it then come back, remember it, go check it out and then you'll know.
So now we've got selski and Robert Bruce proving that the card trick works, and I'm certain that almost all projectors try this trick and it works, id say thats 2-1 to us Anton1, you lose

OK so last night i decided to do some relaxation as Ive done this before and felt vibrations, and i thought that when i was relaxed enough id try and do some body awareness, so i lay on my bed and as i was relaxing, i scratched my knee and tried to remember the sensation as i was getting deeper.
So as i got deeper and deeper i thought of the sensation and tried to imagine that i was scratching my knee in different directions and in circles and as i was doing this i was getting tingling sensations down in my ankle kind of area which as i've read is energy pathways being reused and reopened i think?
so i did it with the other knee and got some more tingling in that leg, at this point i thought id just try and relax and go deeper, as i was getting deep i kind of lost feeling in my arms, as if they went numb (is that normal?) then i got a few vibrations, they start on my body at first as if someone has grabbed me and started shaking me left to right, i get it a little in my arms and legs too but not as much as in my body, i then started feeling the vibrations in my head and it actually felt like my head was bouncing against my pillow.
It was after i got the vibrations in my head that i felt strange sensation between my eyes which i have read is my brow center, it was as if someone was pushing my head down but they only had contact on my brow center and they were pushing from there, is that normal?
as i was doing the relaxation exercise i felt a weird sensation in my throat its kinda hard to explain it felt like it was preparing to be sick and i felt sick too, i shrugged this off assuming t was a regular relaxation symptom but was it?
at this point i decided to stop the relaxation and wake up cause i wanted to come on here and see if the sensations i had felt were normal or if i was doing something wrong.
I've done the relaxation exercise twice now both times feeling vibrations, mainly around my body, whenever i have done it as Ive got deeper and just before i get vibrations i get a bright light behind my closed eyes, like it was daytime and the sun was shining through my windows, but in actual fact its night almost pitch black in my bedroom, is this normal too?
soz for length of post wasn't expecting to write this much hehe.

hey all, i got the book 'mastering astral projection' the other day, I'm on day 1 and i have to do mobile body awareness, i really cant get my head around this Ive tried it before too and whenever i try i feel nothing, i have to scratch my knee and feel the sensation, feeling until I'm intensely aware of the joint, but i feel nothing, Ive sat doing this for 15 Min's quite a few times and i feel nothing each time.
This kinda sucks really cause I'm on day 1 and i cant even get past that lol god knows how I'm ever gonna AP, anyone can help or have any suggestions as to what i can do??

I've read astral dynamics by Robert Bruce and that was a very good book, and Ive ordered mastering astral projection so i hope to be up and about exploring the astral planes soon hehe, looking forward to getting to know you all, cya on the forum ;)

hi all first post here, not sure if this is the right thread for this but here goes, my granddad has died recently Tuesday morning to be exact, i was just wondering about how long the recently deceased linger around in the real time zone or in the astral planes before moving to the higher planes and beyond into heaven.

I'm pretty much a newbie in terms of obe, i tried trance last night and achieved vibrations but even after telling myself over and over that i would remain calm no matter what i couldn't help getting excited and my mind wandered and pretty much ended the trance state, was cool to know that i could do it tho.

So what i really wanted to know if i take a lot of time this weekend practicing trance and maybe even project through sheer beginners luck would there be any way to maybe contact my grandfather and say a proper goodbye??
