Well in science no one knows exactly what energy is too (like electricity) so I assume it's very hard to describe what the energy is you are thinking of. I would think even if someone could describe it, it wouldn't help much to understand what it is. I think it's easier to get examples of where you can find it and how it feels and so on. Remember it can be very hard to describe a taste of something you eat in words.

But maybe it is kinda like this:

It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together.
Recognize it from somewhere...

Well for like 60-70 years ago or something, everyone said that we couldn't fly to the moon
Maybe no one can do this but I don't think it's impossible, but hey who knows...

I found another source of the mudras on another page. They have use the same Mundras but no humming or something like that, at least not on what I've read so far. However they have different breathing techniques. I think they are pretty tricky to get the hang of, like hold your breath for like 9 heart beats. Here is where I found it:

Today while listening to music I remembered this post when getting that "great song feeling" . So I tried to get it to become stronger and after a while I learned that if I focus on the back of my head I could make it a bit stronger and get it going when it wasn't on . After a while of testing I got this really strong "great song feeling" pulsing in my whole body for like 3-4 seconds, especially in my spine. It was sure a pleasant feeling. After a while it's like I got low on energy because the feelings in my spine and body got a little weaker.

I think I'm going to do some experimentation on this for a few day. And for those who can't do this naturally I recommend you put on you're favorite song which gives you that feeling or your favorite part of a movie and then try to get that feeling and make it stronger or/and control when it happens.

And about saving up the energy. I think it would be better to try to do it pretty often. In that way you will probably get it to build up energy faster and at higher levels after a while when your body has gotten used to always had to use energy. And then maybe one day you decide to save it for something special and then when "firing of"   it will probably be really strong compered to just saving without using it a lot before. But then I just started experimenting with this today is I'm not an expert on the field, but its just my thought.

I'm probably going to try the other Chakra's but I will do one chakra at the time. Will report back when I'm done with third eye. Will do the next chakra this Saturday ( I think it was crown)

Well I have tried this now for 4 days and yesterday I was done with making the "thhh" sound so I decided to do some meditating on the third eye. But first I listened to some music and the base from the music got my third eye "pumping" and when I started to meditated I saw "stars" after about 10 to 20min but I started to move my eyes so they disappeared. I also get a small dot of some color like green or blue after looking with eyes closed for a while, but I think I had that before this I just haven't thought about it or it comes faster now (about 5 to 10 seconds).

The third eye has got pretty sensitive after this "opening" just by thinking of it for like 10 seconds can make it pulse. I've also got this weird smell I have never smelt before so I can't really describe it but I've started to think of it as a third eye smell .

I'm going to try to meditate on it tonight again and see if I get something new happens today.

No I just got lucid and I got back to my body without even thinking of it consciously.

I actually AP for the second time today I think but this one wasn't as vivid as the first one. I just remember I got lucid in a dream and after approximately 10 seconds I was in my bed. But this time I didn't hear/remember any vibrations or sound. This time I did some moving. I first lifted up and then jumped up through the celling. But when I went through the celling everything got black. And I think I said light! and then I suddenly saw a pink/red blanket with white spots on it. After that I don't remember anymore.

Why wasn't this AP as vivid as the first, was I more exited the first time because I had never done it before? I got the flu or some other disease which is similar to the flu, is it possible that that affected me? I also moved this time could that affected how vivid it was? Was I dreaming that I was AP ? I haven't done any AP exercises in a week because I was on a trip to Ce-BIT, could that have something to do with it? Or can it be something else?

I had my first AP this week and I could see. I couldn't see good but I could see. Maybe some can't see in the beginning because they don't expect to see any thing in the beginning or maybe I was just lucky.

I'm also tired during the winter months, but I think I may have a clue what might mess my circadian rhythm, I absolutely love to have really intense light at the evening and night. I'm going to try to dim down the intensity of the light for some time and see if it gets better.

About your question how it feels when you pull energy to your sub-navel.  For me I first feel some bubbling in my stomach with the sounds and everything if it wasn't too long ago I ate, then it starts to tingle and after a while I feel a heat sensation which gets warmer. I haven't tried to went longer than that.

Haven't seen this thread until now. Seems like there are quite allot under 18. Anyway, I'm 16 and had my first AP yesterday and I still haven't understand yet that I actually AP:d yesterday it's like winning the biggest prize on the lottery! I've been trying to AP for like 2,5-3 months and doing energy work for like 4 months.

And I think it's great that you are open with you're kids Nay. I haven't yet told someone that I'm trying to leave my body at nights, I don't want them to think I'm some psychopath .

I used to strain my eye's while trying to get an OBE or doing energy work. But I found a little muscle on the top of my eye which I never knew I could relax so I trained a few days to relax that muscle and I don't have much problem more with straining my eyes. So I think you have some tension in a small muscle witch probably makes you cross your eyes.

Sounds like you had a great experience! It was very inspiring!

I didn't think of NEW as boring and much need of discipline since I tried to do it anywhere I sat or lied down. Pretty quick I just done it without thinking much about it at all and I could concentrate on other stuff while doing NEW like watching TV or sitting by the computer.

This morning I had my very first AP and it was awesome, even if nothing really happened .

I'm doing a course about astral projection on www.mysticweb.org and this week we we're gonna try even harder to astral project and for those who already had AP:ed, they're going to try to project to mount everest. I decided, this week I'm gonna try harder to get my first AP than I ever have before.

When I was going to bed I set my clock to 4 am. and then I tried to AP but I didn't make because I fell asleep . At 3.55 am I woke up after a dream and I shut my clock of and walked around a bit and then tried to AP again.  This time I began to felt uncomfortable after about 30 minutes so I moved. After this I couldn't go back to sleep . So I laid in my bed till like 6.15 am and I began to drift into sleep.

(Dreaming) Me and my mum was going to but 2 bags of orange like fruit (Clementine's I think its called but I am not sure ) When we had payed we was gonna leave but I thought I check the entrance again because it had gone dark. And when I opened the glass-door I shout buuuuu (I really don't know why ) And when or after (I'm not sure) I realized that I was dreaming and I thought of all I was gonna do while lucid and I was far away from my body in like a second. Then I was suddenly back to my body.

When I got back to my body I was shivering (sort of) and hearing some sort of vibrato like from the brainwave generator. I knew what was happening! I was really happy. I decided not to try to move but just to enjoy the ride as long as it was gonna last since I started to bend forward and fall a bit to the side of the bed and my head went trough the wall a bit .  Then I flew up and to the other side of the bed. Then I started to fall down in a 45 degree angle and it was getting dark and even more blurry than before. I thought maybe I'm going to travel somewhere because I hadn't still tried to move. But while I was thinking of that I also thought about my physical body for less than a second.
And then I was back and really happy even if nothing had happen and it was an unintentional AP.

I haven't tried to fly yet because every time I realise I am dreaming I wake up.
The last part of your message reminded me of Hitchhickers guide to the galaxy when they fly. Its all about missing the ground .

I am guessing:
Those who think you "when you're dead, you're dead" probably don't believe you have a soul but you have a brain which is made out of atoms and nothing more. When the brain gets supply cut of it dies (oxygen) and when you don't have a brain you can't think and there is nothing left of you. They probably think, I am my brain and without my brain I'm not me.

I used to think like that, now I'm not sure if we have an immortal soul or we die when we die. I'm hoping that we have an immortal soul, but I am not sure of it yet.

Kundalini too and get abilities like superman and Jedi masters have and a few more which I haven't yet thought of, also immortality but I still want to have the option of dieing whenever I feel ready.

To get to all my goals I think I need to work on becoming immortal first.  
If I don't become immortal I'll settle with raising my kundalini and then continue to work with kundalini.

Is it possible to train material arts on your own if I want to learn how to use the chi? And if it is, is there any good web page you recommend where you can learn some basic movements and eventually get more advance movements?
I have found a few web pages but most of them just show advance movements.

I wouldn't recommend you try to stimulate your primary chacra's too soon, instead work on your secondary for a while.

When I started doing energy work I just focused on my feet. First I focused on my left big toe until I felt something, then my right, then some other part of the foot and so on. Later I did my whole legs and arms.  Not many days later I could raise energy without much concentration. For me it also got easier when laying in my bed and first doing some relaxation. But not to much, I don't want to fall asleep:).

To sum it up, start with your feet's and hands, then with the whole legs and arms.

I haven't yet experienced an AP, so I don't think I can help much but if you think I can help you with something, its okay to PM me. I think the idea is very good and I want to help if I can. I want to wish you good luck with the books!

You can try saying sentences again and again like(affirmations), I enjoy testing new things!  I like the way I am! and so on.

Naiad780's advice seems very good but just logical thinking may not always help if you have been feeling that way for a long time. The feeling can be very deep in your sub-conscious mind and just logical thinking about it may not help in all cases.

An example is someone being afraid of spiders which can't hurt you. However their sub-conscious mind keep telling them it dangerous.

When saying affirmations [Edit] you manipulates your sub-conscious mind and eventually you will enjoy testing new things. I think you should try Naiad780's method and if you still doesn't feel good maybe you should give this a try.

I really have no idee if this works but maybe you should try and do some running? If it doesn't help afterwards it atleast got away for it for a while.

I have read something similar to this. Instead of women it was parking lots , people who "knew" they were getting a parking lot on a busy day would get it every time. And everyone could do it if they just believe. I haven't tried this but I'm willing to give it a go . I don't know how the thing with the parking lot worked, but it did if you believed that it did.

Maybe it takes time to get less sleap. Like when you start training physically you get tierd maybe the first week or two, but then  you begin to get more energy and fell better and so on. Maybe its the same with energy work but it takes longer time than when you train physical?
