I have several dreams that are sort of reoccurring, however the same things aren't happening in the dream, but the dreams take place at the same LOCATION.  These are places I have never visited but the location usually have the same PEOPLE in them and they usually have the same feeling-tones associated with them...does anyone else experience this and have any insights or ideas about them?  Are they real places and realities, or just personal mind constructs?

So I was falling asleep and allowed my body to get very tired and I was trying to concentrate on keeping myself fully lucid (I have lots of trouble with this) and soon I hear the panting of a dog in the darkness of my room, (my eyes were closed)
I had lost full lucidity and I thought it was my dog (I don't own a dog) the dog came and sat down on my lap, I started to pet his head with my right hand, but I heard the panting coming from my left...so I reached out my left hand and, sure enough, another head to pet.
Now naturally I was a little bit concerned about this two headed pet but right about then I realized I didn't own a dog and that snapped me back into my body.
So yeah that's my experience, pretty lame but I found it interesting and thought I would share it....

anyone have good tips on staying LUCID as you reach that mental plane right beyond waking reality??

I believe that everything is consciousness, and that nothing could exist without it.  So for any physical object to come into being there has to be A BEING to put it there, the earth is constantly changing and shifting, and just as you are a living ground for an array of millions of bacteria, the Earth is a living ground for countless billions of species, each with their own individual consciousness.........But you could label it any way you want.

I checked out the site, and something caught my eye about how religion is brainwashing...and I could really agree with that, so I read on...

and suddenly here are a bunch of new rules, tests, and elitist attitudes, sounds like a metaphysical Christianity to me...hmmm..

I enjoy this site so much because for the most part nobody is TELLING anyone what to think or do...that is the only real kind of slavery that I can think of.

Well said Nostic, and you too Psan. heh.

If there was one book I could recommend for improving eye sight, it would be

TAKE OFF YOUR GLASSES AND SEE
by Jacob Liberman

if you are at all interested in improving your eyesight I believe that this book can help you greatly, it even has an appendix in the back with a list of Natural Vision Improvement Practitioners by state and country.

here is a link to the book for 5.99 used at amazon.com if your interested:

I personally don't think you will be able to do much healing of your eyes with your glasses on.  Your glasses are like a crutch for a broken leg that you never remove.  So you must remove the glasses to begin the healing process.  when you look around at the world you see a reflection of yourself.  If your not seeing clearly, maybe you are afraid of what is up ahead?  As children we often see things we have no way of comprehending let alone getting away from.  And with our creativity we actually close out the outside world physically.  Also, growing up with public schooling doesn't help, our eyes were designed to scan distant fields and enjoy sunsets, not sit under fluorescent lights all day staring at white pieces of paper for 6 hours a day....just give your eyes time, I suggest not wearing them at all if you have to...try to notice if you get any feelings of anxiety, fear, or anything of that sort when you take them off, these may be the root sources of your bad eye sight.  If you pay attention to what you are seeing, and accept and love that this is the way you CHOOSE to see the world...then gradually you will notice a REMARKABLE improvement in everything you see.....glasses restrict you to focus on everything you see...your eyes are made to see 90% peripheral vison....this is your minds ability to see everything at once....to see without seeing...this is the way your eyes and mind were made to take in the world...effortlessly.
Those other maladies were easier to heal because they were not so rooted in your feelings and well-being....your vision is a very complex and integrated issue.
When laying down to rest or meditate, after relaxing your whole body and breathing gently and deeply for a minute...try to imagine your eyes are two balls of white, softly vibrating light....let the light heal and relax your eyes and eye muscles...be open and receptive...then go to sleep...when you wake up, DON'T PUT YOUR GLASSES on.   Do everything you do when you wake up and consciously pay attention to how your vision is....see what its like putting on clothing, eating breakfast, looking out the window, take your vision for a walk....be good to yourself!

Good luck I am struggling with this same thing....but let me tell you its easier than you think!

You have left me speechless, thank you for your clarity.  You have chosen to shine light on this 'prove it/disprove it' fiasco, where there was fear and doubt you came with perfect love and trust.  I couldn't have said it better myself.  I am happy we have people like you to write on this forum.

I am amazed by all of you on this site, never have I seen so many intelligent humans stand so tall in peace and unity.  I am glad to know there are so many powerful souls abound on the Earth.

I don't understand.  You tell us to do the experiment, we tell you that its old news...we tell you we have carried out much grander experiments to prove our understanding.  And you tell us you don't believe....but if you don't believe, then why are you spend YOUR time on this site??

your close minded views give away your anger at us.   :x

Your anger gives away the fear you feel...

And the fear you experience gives away your lack of self worth..

Don't worry friend, one day you too will be enjoying the infinite dimensions your consciousness exists on...but until then...

chill out.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / thoughts...

I do wonder what those extra bodies where...my instincts tell me they are at least something that I make from my own mind, certainly not anything from an outside source...SO why would I make two more of myself?  Its interesting how I checked in with ME to make sure it was alright to voyage outside of my room, and how I had an urge to stay close to the third me who "led" me out into the living room, maybe I (or someone watching) just constructed friendly helpers...after all, who else could you trust more then yourself?

Thanks for the replies Sarah and Tom.  it really helps that I know people are having similar experiences...I think this is a really really great website...I mean when weird things start happening, you need some people you can share your experiences with, especially people that have covered this territory before.  Because for me this is some very undiscovered ground...or at least for the ego part of my brain.

good luck to everyone out there, I think this is something historical that is happening, and I am so happy to be apart of it....may you live in interesting times....oh I DO!!!

Ok, so i had my very first OBE the other week, at least I think it was.  I was trying all night to pull myself out of my physical body when I finally gave up, got on my bed, turned on my side, and started falling asleep.  Then in a state of half-sleep I started hearing weird random noises, a bird chirping, a dog barking, the sound of a ball falling, strange, and yet I knew somehow that my subconscious mind was creating them.

And then I felt a somewhat scary sensation of being pulled out of my body from my feet, I felt them lift up, then my legs.  I had the thought that 'someone else' was pulling me out.  Which put fear in my brain...but of course it was probably just happening that way and I was fighting the process...

and then I was next to my body, and I felt a semi-paralysis that I always seem to feel in my dreams.

My body is stiff, its hard to move my muscles, I have very little control of my body.  So I try to look at my 'real' body, but my neck tenses up.  I roll out of the bed onto the floor, and concentrate on standing up, strangely enough I find it easier to balance on my tip toes for awhile.  I look forward and there is another ME standing in front of me.  'he' goes to my bedroom door and puts both hands around the door knob.  I approach him with some difficulty, and I put my hands on top of his, I realize that HIS hands feel more real then the ones I am in control of.  I wonder if this is actually my physical body up and about with me to control it!!  (I don't want my body running off without me)

So 'he' opens the door and goes out to the living room, I decide to follow him, before I leave out the door I turn to check if its ok to leave the room with my real body, i turn and I am looking up from the bed nodding my head for me to go on.  Very strange thinking so its probably more of a lucid dream though it happened RIGHT after I fell asleep.  Anyway so there are now THREE Me's in the house and I go out to the living room, its dark, and fear starts to take hold of my brain, so I decide this projection has lasted long enough for the first time anyway, I go and lay back in bed where I was sleeping, close my eyes tight, and when I open them...there I am awake and tingling.

Just thought I would share this interesting first experience with you because Ive heard nothing like it.
