Quote from: izalcoanyone ever take these and have weird dreams?

i was sick and took some, and I had weird dreams

You can bet that if I take any Tylenol PM, Xanax, or anything that helps me sleep, I'll have an AP or lucid dream or both (still trying to figure out)

QuoteThen I tried to fly, and saw my 'neighbourhood' way too different from what really is. I thought that I might been dreaming then.
So, one of my questions is: how do I keep myself from dreaming in my projections? At the beggining, I see my room the way it is with some differences, but then, if I try to get out of the room, everything changes. Why does it happen? Did I slipped into a dream or it's just in my mind? If it's in my mind, isn't it a dream then?
It's very hard to keep projections from turning into lucid dreams (or even non-lucid dreams).  One  theory is that low energy causes the dreaming mind to take over- another is that for some people going through walls, windows, or mirrors cause some sort of 'phase shift' into the 'astral planes', making the experience like a dream, or alternate reality (like another time or neighborhood.)  This has been happenning to me also, and I'd like to know how to overcome it-I can float around the house no problem, but the minute I go through a wall- poof- I'm somewhere else.  It's very annoying.

That's exactly what happens to me. Every time I go through walls or sth, I start dreaming. The strange thing, is that I realize that I'm dreaming and I go like 'damn, I'm dreaming again, how can I go back to my body and start all over again' lol and I do try concentrating, sometimes it works, but most of the times, I just THINK it works, but I'm actually dreaming of an astral projection, or at least that's what I've figured so far.

Hi everyone, I don't post often, but I do read this forum several times a week.
Anyway, I've been having some OBE since a few years ago by doing the excersises, then I just stopped doing them, the OBE kept happening, but then, they stopped altogether.
A few months ago, I started having the so called sleep paralysis. Like, I've had them all my life, but now that I knew that I could astral project by taking advantage of that, I started doing that. I've had a few experiences but I'm not gonna tell them because it'd make this post longer than it already is.

2 hours ago I was taking a nap, and was trying to stay up from bed, then I realize that I was having a hard time trying to do that, so I figured, that I was having a sleep paralysis. After struggling to stay up (it's always difficult for me to do that, I don't know why) I finally did it, the first thing I saw, was a little girl, dressed as in the beggining of the 1900s. I think she didn't notice me, and she was playing with something.

Then I tried to fly, and saw my 'neighbourhood' way too different from what really is.
Who was that little girl, and didn't she see me?

Also, when I floght, I ran accross a place in which people were dancing, but were dressed like in the '40 or '50...now what happened? I don't think I was dreaming, it was way too real...someone please tell me what the difference is? I read all the texts on the websites, but I just don't understand when it happens to me...Sorry I'm so dumb

Thanks..

Most of the ones I have, are natural, but the last two ones I had, I was on Xanax (an anti-anxiety drug, legal), and they were the strongest OBE I've had.

hi there!
This morning I had the weirdest experience, I'll try to make it as short as possible so you won't get bored :P

I usually get a lot of sleep paralysis, and I astral project by taking advantage of them.
But this morning, something different happened: I was having this nightmare, I opened my eyes and woke up, or so I thought. I was in my bed, looking at the window right in front of me. Absolutely EVERYTHING was the way it is in the 'real' world. I felt TOTALLY in control, I didn't even realized that I wasn't awake, until I tried to move and I couldn't . That's when I realized that I, even though I had my eyes wide open, I was having a sleep paralysis. For some reason, I didn't get out of my body, but I did feel that someone was there.

note: Usually when I'm APing, I always feel that there's this guy watching me. I used to see him when I was like 9 years old (used to see him in the real world, NOT when APing, I didn't do that by then). Then I stopped seeing him, until now,(I'm 22) that I see him, but in the astral plane. He never does anything, he just watches me, but he scares the hell out of me, I have this feeling (plus the way he looks,) he's not 'good'. Please don't tell me it's my guardian angel, I know he isn't.

Anyway, this morning, I woke up and this other guy  was right next to me. He was telling that he was in love with me and he wanted me to be with him. I was trying to move, I didn't get out of my body and I couldn't believe that I was OBEing with my physical eyes open. I don't know if that's possible, but that's what happened.
So I was kind of scared, and I told him that I couldn't be with him, that I was in a different 'world'. He didn't like my answer very much, so I said 'let me think about it'. All the conversation was with our minds.
I was trying really hard to wake up, but he wouldn't stop talking, until I finally woke up. I noticed that I didn't open my eyes, because, they were already opened. My arm was in the exact same position as it was when I was OBEing. Evertything was the same. The sun, the light, everything.

So, I don't understand what happened...what do you think?
Do you think it was just a dream, or I was really having an OBE in my physical body? who do you think this guy is? by the way, I told you about the guy that I used to see when I was 9, because, even though the guy that I saw this morning looked different, I kind of felt they were the same one...
Well I'm sorry if I didn't explain myself very well, but english isn't my first language.
Please do put anything you think, it'll help.
Thanks in advance!

Hi! Ok, so i'm pretty new at this and even though I think I'm having an OB, i'm not 100% sure that it's not a lucid dream.
Anyway, what happens to me, is that most of the time that I AP, it's because I'm having a sleep paralysis, and I take advantage of it. It's happened about 5 times or so in the last 4 months.

Every time that I'd start OBing, I'm always in my room, and I would always feel that there's someone else. I've never got really scared, I just go 'go away, go away' , and it'll dissapear.

But today, when I started OBing, I felt this 'presence' right next to me, and even though i started yelling at it, (i even showed it the finger lol),  it didn't go away. It just stayed there, and I got really scared. I was trying to wake up, but I couldn't. I tried to get out of the room, but it's been really hard for me to do that. I couldn't do it today either. I started calling out my grandfather (who usually appears, he's passed away some months ago) but he didn't show up. Eventually, I woke up. After that, I was as scared as I used to be when I was a child. (I'm 22). I didn't wanna open my eyes or anything.

I'm pretty sure it's not a dream...can anyone tell me what this is about?
Thank you!

you know, i had a very similar experience last week.

I dreamt with my grandfather who passed away about 6 months ago. And I started to ask him if he was OK, and things about my life (what he thinks I should do).

And then I asked him if we had been relatives in a past life, and he told me that it'd be better if I didn't know anything about past lifes.
So I started saying 'ohh come on let's go to the past' and i started flying out the window and suddenly the view wasn't the same one as it's supposed to be. So I realized that I had started lucid-dreaming and I asked him if it was him who did that, and he told me 'i'm sorry but i can't tell you anything about past lifes' then he left and i just kept on dreaming.

That left me very confused. Maybe we are not supposed to know all that stuff....

poetic_tragedy: well, that thing about waking up with weird thoughts, doesn't happen to me, or at least, i don't remember..  it's interesting though lol
mhat : you know that happens to me too, i've always thought that maybe i was hearing REAL conversations, but i could never find that out, because i as soon as i stop listening to the voices, i forget what they where talking about...most of them were of people real close to me (such as parents, friends or grandparents, and i think i should add they're all alive); except for the woman's voice that i said before, but then, when i was younger, i wasn't trying to astral project. So i don't know it's confusing...
Catmeow: i've tried to fly and get out of my room ( that's where i usually show up). And i can float, but most of the times, i can't get get out of the room. Except for one time, in which i could, and went to the ocean, or sea, i'm not sure what that was, but somehow i managed to open my eyes. That was one of my first projections, but i can't remember of being able to do the same thing later. I've never tried the 'clarity now' thing but as far as i know (or read here), it doesn't work most of times.

Quote from: poetic_tragedyThis is strange. This voices that you hear- I hear them right before I actually fall asleep.. usually before I enter a dream I will start hearing voices talk to me and laughing. I usually talk back wondering what they are speaking of - since its mostly random stuff. I thought this happened before you drifted off to sleep - does it happen then as well? OR just around the time that your APing?

It happened just before i fall asleep. And it was exactly like you said, i mean the voices were talking and laughing. I remember that one of them was a woman's and she said something about me freaking out (about something). that's all i can remember, but i thought she was nice. Nothing scary. But i didn't talk back to them. And when you do talk back to them, what do they say to you?

Thanks for your responses!  :D

I was thinking about the energy stuff, do you know why it happens? and where can i find information on how to do those kind of exercises?

Hi! i don't usually write here, but i'm always reading what others write, and i'm pretty new at this, so i need some help, please! :)
ok, so this is what happened to me this morning.

I woke up at about 8, so i just hung out for about an hour, and then went back to sleep. I'm not really sure how this happened, but i remember realizing that i was dreaming, so i took advantage of the situation, and started lifting my astral body. I don't know if this is 'normal' but every time i try to do that, my body feels REALLY heavy, (it actually hurts) and i have a hard time trying to pull away my astral body. I also have problems trying to open my eyes. I don't know why but they won't open. So today, when i started flying, i struggled to have my eyes half-open, and then i woke up. Then, i fell asleep again, and thinking that i was awake, i started hearing some voices in my ear. I don't remember exactly what they said, but they sounded as if they were having fun (i mean, i didn't think they were 'evil' or anything). Has that happened to anybody? I think that maybe they were the voices of other people astral projecting? what do you guys think?

Oh, and does anybody know how to get my eyes open without waking myself up?
Any comments will be appreciated  :D
Thanks!!

Hi to everybody! this is my first post, so sorry if what i say sounds dumb but i do need some help with it.

The other day i realized that i was having a lucid dream. In my dream i was talking to my father and to some other lady (i don't know who she was) about something that was going on. So suddenly i go 'but this is way too weird to be happening, maybe i'm dreaming' and that's how i realized i was dreaming. So i thought that it might be a good idea to try to astral project. Sudenly i was half awake, half-asleep, so i tried to stand up (from my bed). Now this has happened to me before, but i just couldn't get my astral body to get out of my physical one, because it would hurt. So this time, i said to myself 'i don't care if it hurts, i'll do it anyway'. I stood up, and turned around to watch myself sleeping. I don't know if i that one was me...i mean, i remember thinking that that one was me...but it was not clear...then i said 'i wanna be in california', and suddenly i started spinning (it just happened) and showed up in what i thought it was california. I tried to walk away from where i was , but i couldn't... plus my body was totally numb.
It seems to me, that it was a lucid dream...but i'm not sure...i mean, when i was trying to stand up, it hurt again, and the numbess sensation...maybe i just fell asleep when i saw myself sleeping. And actually things didn't look the same as they do when i'm awake.
Does anybody have an idea of what it might have been? I'd apreciate any feedback, thanks!!!
