I ran in to this problem last night, I was doing energy work and then suddenly I was looking around the room, somewhat disoriented . I looked up and this kid was waving at me frustrated like he was trying to get my attention and couldn't. It shocked me pretty bad to have some one standing there, and I snapped back in to physical reality.

My eyes were closed, but I could see the room perfectly as it really was (other than a slight blurriness) from the exact position I was physically seated in.  Had the same thing happen to me once before during meditation, but never considered it might be an AP up until now.

I have found that we some times crave experiences, especially after a really good one. It's kind of like the old saying about potato chips "Can't eat just one". The problem is that  your desire becomes your point of focus so you think your focusing on the goal, but your really focusing on your desire for the result.

If thats the case the idea is to try and readjust your focus, so that you take your reward from the journey, and just let the result come.

I've noticed the same thing as you. Tons of memorable dreams from day 1. I have just started and have not projected yet either, but the energy work is producing some incredible sensations in addition to the dreams.

This certainly seems to be a strong indication that things are going to work out for you in this regard. If you want to confirm it, I would suggest silencing your mind through whatever method you prefer, and let the answer come to you. I am willing to bet your own innate psychic abilities will give you the confirmation if you let them.

Very interesting. Something similar happened to me the first night I started doing the Mastering Astral Projection book. I had placed a notebook by my dream to jot things down. Normally I would never wake up from sleep. On this occasion however I had a very symbolic dream which I have detailed on the Master Astral Projection Part 1 board. A book was given to me at the end of the dream and all my senses focused on the title "When they get inside your head: Concourse A-E". At that point a loud voice said "Wake up you have to write this in your notebook". The odd part was that the voice was from outside of the dream as though someone were standing by my side trying to wake me. I woke up wrote the dream down and went back to sleep.  In many ways your experience with the voice reminds me of my own, though the reasons for it's appearance were very different.

Possible answers to the identity are a deeper aspect of yourself, or a guide.

I while back I lost my bank card. The new one came with a new PIN. Shortly after that I went to see a couple (the husband speaks to passed loved ones, the wife draws them with no description) who contacted my grandparents who had passed. I went back over some of there old photos to realize that my pin was the same number as their address. Some might call it coincidence but the odds against such a coincidence are pretty high, and I'm certain it was their way of reaching out and trying to get my attention.   I would certainly have considered any advice they had for me in life, why not in death?

Another newbie here, just curious as to how effective these things really are. Can someone comment to the experience with and without the use of an LS machine and how the two compare. Thanks.

In our physical lives we must choose to have faith in certain people in order to function.  We take a leap of faith every time we establish a relationship, be it personal or professional.  It does not mean that we follow blindly, the decisions are thoughtfully considered.

If you were to travel to the amazon jungle, or the Himalayan mountains you would choose a guide because your knowledge of the landscape is insufficient.

In our current form we have little knowledge of our landscape, and I believe the most knowledgeable among us would be the first to agree with that statement. Why then would we not choose to listen to and seriously consider the advice of a guide who inspired trust in us (not blindly in any entity) if that information were available?

On rare occasions I have had exceptionally lucid dreams, in which an individual who appears as anyone of a number of people (appropriate to the message), gives me advice.  Although the appearance is always different (frequently but not always someone I know) I have learned to distinguish and recognize the voice and mannerisms as unique to one individual. I am convinced it is my guide.
