Greetings!

It's been awhile since my last post and that's mainly because I don't have conscious OBE's as much as I would like. I had one a few days ago and while it was pretty "routine" for the most part, it did end rather strangely and I was hoping someone might be able to provide some level of insight.

Towards the end of my OBE, I found myself in a rather unpleasant place. The people or creatures seemed of lower-level consciousness, some even resembled monsters to a degree. I remember wanting to get out of there as they were smirking at me menacingly. I was able to keep from panicking and my fear level was somewhat in check which I'm sure kept the situation from taking on a much darker, evil effect, but I was having trouble flying away. I was hovering/floating a few feet off the ground and trying to take off and get away, which kept the smirking entities rather pleased with my futility.

Anyhow, I was finally successful and as I was ascending, one of them said to me that they were from, or that place was called:

"Pasture of Sheritt".

Now I know that's not something my subconscious could have made up. It's such an obscure word. I'm not at all positive that that was exactly what was said but I am fairly confident it at least was it phonetically. Perhaps a different spelling? I was wondering if anyone had ever heard of that place before or if anyone had any ideas or comments.

From what I recall, it did seem like a pasture I guess...It was in an open field surrounded by a few trees I guess. Not a good feeling, but not what you would think Hell would be either. Definitely a lower level Astral realm I'm almost certain.

Thanks for any information or comments!

One thing I can't seem to put together is what is real and what isn't real. Now, I know that opens up a whole other topic of what "real" even means, but for the sake of simplicity, I am speaking from a purely conscious/non-conscious perspective. Conscious in this context means Alpha/Beta...Waking consciousness. What we deal with every day in our waking conscious state here on planet Earth.

Non-conscious meaning that layer of existence we pass into upon the sleep state. Where Time/Space is distorted. Where virtually anything is possible. But even in this state, it's hard to interpret symbolism from "real experience".

So my question then is, how do we know when we've entered a certain state, if it's "real" or symbolism? What triggers are there that gives us clues that we are actually in another dimension, dealing with real beings on other layers of reality, and not just some random subconscious symbolism to decipher for another day?

The same question can be applies to OBE's. Some seem so convincing on some "real" level, and others seem too "dream-like" to be taken seriously. Yet, what if I have it backwards? How would I know?

Sorry for all the questions but these are the ones that keep me up at night the most.

I think it may have something to do with our subconscious expecting not to "see" without "eyes". We are conditioned from the time we are born that we need physical eyes to see so I bet when we are consciously OBE, our subconscious governs our ability to see clearly and vividly. I may be wrong but I think that plays a large role in it. Once we can train our subconscious that we don't in fact need our physical eyes to see, I bet our astral vision would become as clear as our physical vision.

Greetings...It's been too long since my last post...I have continued to have fairly lucid/conscious projections, about 1-per-month over the past year. I tend to gravitate towards space...Always see clusters of stars, amazing sense of speed, etc...Here's my latest OBE entry from this past morning...Any comments, thoughts, ideas on anything described I would be grateful.

This morning, I was on my right side and I felt the familiar vibrations. Trying to achieve the OBE state this way I found was more difficult. Still, I finally made it out. The usual dark astral vision but I sustained conscious awareness, feeling for objects, etc. I walked through my window and wall to the outside. Vision was a little better since it was light outside.

Before long, this attractive girl was next to me. She seemed familiar in a weird way. She smiled and said something to me like, "It's nice having a friend from Planet Earth." I immediately sensed she wasn't from Earth, or at least not our particular dimension/space/time continuum.

I asked her where was she from but for some reason, I was jolted back to my body. Drat!

I quickly returned to the vibratory state and easily popped out again. This time I was outside but alone. I looked up and there were the familiar cluster of stars...I flew up and was in space, surrounded by stars. This is my usual place when consciously Out-of-Body.

Somehow, I was able to clear my astral vision and I was instantly in the middle of this solar system collage of sorts...Huge planets, moons, star clusters, nebula...The vividness and detail was extraordinary! I was so pleased with this sudden burst of visual clarity, coupled with my conscious awareness, I felt inherently powerful and excited. My next though/intent was to glimpse an advanced ET race, but a friendly one. I wasn't in any mood to be astrally-projected into a scene of ominous ETs who didn't care much for humans.

I was suddenly in what appeared to be a home...There were people eating or sitting...They looked precisely human. The lady smiled at me just as I thought that, knowing full well she was reading my thoughts. I tried to engage them in conversation and wanted to apologize for the intrusion but at this point I lost conscious-awareness and must have drifted into sleep.

I am trying really hard to control my OBE state...It's very hard to achieve crystal-clear vision without it being dark and fuzzy, as dreams tend to be. The difference is that I know I am fully awake and conscious. I have merely shifted into another dimension (Astral Plane) where thought governs everything and is instantaneous. I can't seem to stay in this earth plane for very long.

Often I realize the room looks different, or the outside of my house isn't quite right. Having done some research, it seems when we leave our physical bodies into the etheric we are projected into the Astral Plane and hence, all of our usual surroundings even though admirably replicated, it's not quite the same. Although I have been able to stay in this dimension for short periods of time, often walking around my bedroom, glancing at myself appearing asleep.

I am committed to continuing my Astral journeys, exploring new worlds, meeting Beings, ETs, and even potentially my friends, lovers and families in other dimensions/parallel universes. These connections and the limitless possibilities is what drives me to continue to improve my Astral experiences while fully conscious.

I've tried all the mantras (i.e. "Clarity NOW!" for instance) but I can never seem to really get my "astral" eyes to focus and bring forth light and detail in my OBEs.

Sure, I can "see" my room and details to a point but it's always fuzzy and dark no matter how conscious I am during the experience.

I've read so many books but nothing seems to work.

I would argue that while projecting you will encounter a reality similar to other altered states of consciousness such as meditative states, drug-induced trips, religious visions, and even dreams - which is a "reality" of your own creation or at least a hybrid reality that might involve some astral recording of an event that is used as raw material by your mind to recreate the event in a manner that is suitable for your purpose but is not the "true" event.

I agree completely. I was going to post something similar but you stated my thoughts perfectly.

I would have to say my favorite thus far is when I fell out of bed, knew I was experiencing an OBE, floated to my ceiling where I perceived a small hole, flew through it quickly and landed on the rooftop. From there, I witnessed a gorgeous cluster of stars and the moon in the Southwest. The best part of all of this was that I KNEW I wasn't dreaming, but in fact I was wide awake. It's hard to explain that level of lucidity unless it has happened to you before.

There was a moment of awareness of the stars/reality that is hard to describe but I knew it was profound. Next thing I know I am waking up in bed, asking my wife (who was already up and getting ready for work) if the moon could be seen if she looked out our window. I told her to look to her right, up in the sky. She said yes.

The reason why this is interesting is because one, it had been raining all night long so it made sense that I expected cloud cover and two, I had never left my bed physically to see if in fact the moon was indeed in view.

It may not go down in the OBE record books for the best Astral Projection ever but to me, it was all the proof I ever needed that we are in fact conscious entities that don't need our physical bodies in order to exist.

Yes I do think that is possible. I believe I have done that a few times. One would be the experience I mentioned in the beginning of my post. The other would be the time I woke up in a dream to report my life (as I experience it in this life) to my friend as a really vivid dream.

It sure does give one pause when thinking...What's real? What reality is the real reality? Living these physical existences...Aren't they all sort of illusions? The platforms of our Soul's dreaming mind? Okay that's getting a bit melodramatic but it does seem that perhaps our multidimensional existences are all happening simultaneously, one no more or less real than the other, yet only accessible to one another through the portal of our dreams or Astral travels/OBEs...

This then begs the question...How does this effect reincarnation? If we are already living multiple lives as multiple fragments of Self in multiple dimensions (therefore multiple life lessons at once) all at once, then why the need to reincarnate after each life? Or maybe it's a very efficient means to reincarnate...Not one at a time but hundreds, thousands (millions?) at once?

Ah, my head's spinning.

It's maddening because when you're dreaming, you're completely unaware of it at the time. I wake up and say, "Okay you were driving a floating ice cream truck down a river sitting next to Catherine Zeta Jones...COME ON!!"

I was reading something recently about how physics is coming to the same conclusions about parallel universes/dimensions as many of us are. I used to joke that maybe in a parallel universe somewhere I was living that life I always wanted. Maybe there is truth to that after all.

It's overwhelming to think about it actually. All these fragments of me living simultaneous yet drastically different lives in the multiverse.

Thanks for the reply!

Yes it is a bit maddening to lose that sense of awake part of you that is the explorer and slip apathetically into the dreaming mind. By then it's too late to do anything but go through the motions of your dream theater (of course without realizing you're in fact dreaming).

I remember a dream I had several years ago. I "woke up" in a dream and turned to my friend (this was a dream) and said, "Whoa. I just had the weirdest dream!" I proceeded to tell my friend all about my life, my friends, lovers, interests, etc...

In other words, I was describing my life as I know it to some friend as if THIS was the dream world, not the one I "dreamed"!

I suspect if we all knew the true nature of our reality it would be overwhelming to say the least. I suspect that is one of the reasons we are zapped with amnesia of sorts when we reincarnate into our next life.

Sensory overload!

First of all, thanks in advance for any feedback any of you kindly offer.

My wife and I recently had a baby so as you can imagine, a lot of sleepless nights. Of course, this bodes well for OBE as I can find myself in that perfect state early in the morning from being so tired.

So this morning, after being up pretty much all night, having slept a couple hours at most...I felt the oh-so-wondrous vibrations. I guess my body was so relaxed because I didn't even need to employ my usual tried and true method of the roll-out technique. Instead, I simply began lifting up slowly until I hit the ceiling just like a helium balloon.

I'll spare you the rather insignificant details of floating around my room, etc and get to the point.

At some point I all of a sudden found myself standing in a room with a girl. She was talking to me and I could totally/instantly sense we had known each other for years, perhaps even as girlfriend/boyfriend. Still in my "Awake" mind, not my dreaming mind, I said to her;

"Now I know this sounds strange but I have some questions I would like you to answer honestly." She said okay. I then said, "What year is it?"

Now I'm not 100 percent sure but I'm almost sure she said 2005.

The second question was to ask her the names of the people we were discussing (like I should of known but my "Awake" mind did not).

She told me the first name, and the second...I know, get ready to laugh...

"Booby." (I thought she meant Bobby of course but I heard her say Booby loud and clear)

I said, "Booby?" and laughed. She just looked at me like I had suddenly lost my mind.

Okay, the question is, how do I know when I have left the OBE/Astral state (as far as the conscious act of leaving the physical to explore) and entered a dream state lucidly or even a parallel universe?

I have a hunch that often times (like the scene with the girl above) I feel like what I may be doing is entering the lives or moments of one of my multidimensional selves in a parallel universe or dimension. I have instant recognition of the person/situation I am in internally, but my Awake mind (the conscious mind aware of typing this message to you right now) has no idea who they are or what their names are, etc.

Does anyone have experience with this type of thing that could help me shed more light on the true nature of these experiences? I would be extremely grateful. I'm also interested in hearing some new questions to try in these situations that may spark a more interesting end result as far as exploration goes.

Thanks again!

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Rolling out
November 04, 2005, 00:52:30
The "roll" technique has always been my method of projecting. For some reason, I always find it to be extremely effective and easy once the vibrations have begun. What I do is once I find myself in that perfect state (usually early morning, a few hours before I would normally get up) and the vibes begin, I gently start rocking side by side. After awhile, the gentle rocking begins to feel more like swaying from left to right until I simply attempt to turn towards the edge of my bed all the way over...

Usually at this point I simply roll out and almost always float gently to the floor like a balloon without helium. Then my journey can begin!

I guess you can call it the "Rock n Roll!" LOL

Quote from: Ben KI disagree when you say that we go through life asleep. obviously we are here for a reason and i dont think that anyone actually goes through life without purpose or reason, though it may seem like it at the moment.

Oh I totally agree with you. I use the term "asleep" merely as a way to describe how many of us walk through life without any objective, conscious experience of our Higher Natures. Other than sleep when we travel to other dimensions and so forth, a vast majority of humans are not consciously aware of their connection with All Things, how time is an illusion, and how we truly manifest our own realities and so forth.

Those who seek deeper meaning through the paths of Spirit and enlightenment, those who pay attention to those synchronicities in life - are indeed very much awake.

It's not meant to degrade or insult anyone, it's just an expression I use, hope you didn't take offense.

Well, I can't claim to be more knowledgeable on the topic of transmigration than others but I personally believe that our Soul energies are not normally compatible with our animal friends. What's most important to a lot of people that I truly do believe is that our pets and animals DO have Souls.

Everything is composed of energy. That's a given. But where it gets hairy (for lack of a better term, har) is the different levels of energy. I think there are compatibility issues with energy just like there are compatibility issues with different software and hardware.

This could be a cosmic "splitting of hairs" argument but I do think there are levels and layers of Soul-energy that are only compatible with their own kind. Ultimately, we Are All One (in the highest of thinking) and ALL RETURNS TO THE ONE, but for the sake of argument, I do think animal and human Souls are of different energy types.

One final thought:

I DO believe IF the Soul truly desires to experience what it feels like to be the consciousness of a plant, rock or animal, they have that power to do so. Not to live an entire life that way but to share the essence of that particular consciousness if even for a moment.

The simple answer? Yes.

I honestly do not believe in coincidence. Every thing that happens to us has a deeper meaning or purpose that (I think) is meant for us to use as wake up calls to our true natures.

It's like we are all asleep (in a way) totally unaware of our true realities. Often, we are given "nudges" from our guides, deceased loved ones and so on - to help us remember Who We Are and Why We Are Here.

I don't mean to sound trite here, but I really do believe this is true. Every day, I feel we are given glimpses or clues to that greater reality which we are all profoundly a part of, but it's up to us to decipher the true meaning.

Most of us brush off those curiosities in our lives as "coincidences" and little more.

It's a shame. It's like looking at every major occurrence in your life as a cosmic accident.

Lately I have been wrapping myself around the general theories of the various planes of existence including the astral plane. One that has me absolutely transfixed is the notion that for every thought humanity has, it's created somehow- somewhere - on the astral plane.

You've heard of the Akashic Records. The "Library of the Universe" that literally holds every record of every thought and deed of every living being in existence. The idea is that you can access this magnificent library and see every past experience as if you were living it in 3D, full color.

Further, the notion that time and space is a mere concept of the 3rd dimension/Earth Plane experience and not reflective of the True Nature Of Reality spell bounds me. I'm envious of those astral travelers that can (quite lucidly and vividly) share communion with dead relatives, various astral beings, guides and Masters. For some reason, my OBE/Astral excursions seem to remain foggy and dream-like, even when I think I am being In The Moment and conscious of my experiences, driving them with ever-increasing commands and consciousness.

Sometimes, I wake early morning without even thinking about OBE/Astral Projection for days or weeks and BAM, the perfect vibrations hit, I roll out of my body as easy as taking a drink of my bottled water, and there I am. ME. Outside. Of. Myself. Conscious. ALIVE!

Other times, I am reading every Astral/OBE book I can get my hands on, doing the exercises and meditations and....

...Nothing.

Of course, inevitably I begin to question my spiritual evolution. Maybe I'm not ready for the fully conscious astral journeys. Somehow, I've missed a step or lesson or meditation that will get my chakras spinning at optimum level, or getting my vibrational frequency to be in sync with the very act of separation from physical that I crave so much.

Perhaps this is all part of my journey. I'm far from pure. Lord knows. I drink more than I probably should. I smoke Cubans when I have the chance. I crave flavor in the foods I consume. Perhaps I just love the pleasures of this dense reality a bit too much. I wouldn't argue that point.

Still, deep down, I feel extremely psychic and intuitive and "tuned in" to the deeper, more profound layers of consciousness. It seems so obvious to me that I almost catch myself laughing at those who are still sleeping.

So why am I struggling so much?

This past weekend I was at a wine tasting event with my wife and friends. We had a lot of fun, but I didn't get much sleep both nights. When we came home (Sunday evening), I was exhausted from the lack of sleep, wine (my liver probably could have been wrung out like a sponge) and sun.

We went to bed and slept very soundly. My wife got up around 7am and I woke up immediately feeling the vibrations, so without much effort I thought, "off I go!" and I was instantly floating on my ceiling. Something caught my eye off to my right, and whatever it was (I sensed a female) flew up to me. This is where everything gets a bit surreal.

I sensed my consciousness was most definitely awake and alert by my "clarity now!" and other commands I was trying in an attempt to take advantage of being consciously out of my body, but the landscape was dream-like. Was this LD instead of AP? The sense of being out of my body was as strong as any other time I've been OBE.

I tried to visit people I knew in my life, and while definite movement and landscape change was achieved, I never could quite achieve crystal-clear lucidity in my surroundings.

The "Clarity NOW!" is starting to work really well for me now. I'm still amazed how well at times.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / In a slump
March 02, 2005, 04:29:34
I think this is very common. My belief is until we as a species fully realize our Pure Potential, anything as ambitious as AP will remain ambiguous to our daily experience.

Obviously, there are methods that can help increase the frequency of OBE's/AP's (such as the various methods mentioned within this community) but at the end of the day, we are often slaves to our conscious, Alpha/Beta states.

I've found that the more I think about OBE/AP during my waking state, the more I increase my chance for one.

The Mind/Body/Soul connection is paramount here. One not need to be a Sage to connect with that part of Self that travels on a nightly basis in our "sleep". The committment to focusing on these hidden realms (consciously) is the fuel to the gas tank of conscious projection.

For me, the key is in early wakening. If I wake up around 4am AND my intent to consciously project is more profound than my giving into returning to sleep, my chance of calling on the vibrations and having a conscious OBE is nearly 99.9 percent.

So much depends on that perfect state of being of course, but also in just how badly you want it. Don't be discouraged if weeks and even months go by without any occurances. I've discovered that many of my conscious projections occur around the times when it serves me on a spiritual level.

AP/OBE is a lot like real, waking reality. Just because you want something to manifest instantly doesn't mean it will. However, with the proper focus, intent and WILL to have something manifest that is of great importance to you, in time, it WILL manifest.

This is a terrific community for the OBE/AP topic, and one I hope I can continue to be a small part of for a long time to come. I was just curious if anyone knew of a similar community dedicated to the UFO/ET/Abductee phenomenon?

I love the phpBB forum software, and I especially love intelligent, diverse debate. If anyone can point me in the direction of a similarly constructed UFO forum, I would just be all about the sh*ts and giggles.  :)

I finally got my presets converted from WAV to MP3 and burned them to disc so I could use my Walkman as I am lying in bed. So last night, I turned on "Awakened Mind" and relaxed myself best I could.

I'm not sure if I was distracted (a lot of wind last night, and I could hear my dog and wife breathing in and out to my left and right respectively) or what, but although I started to feel less of my arms, I couldn't really seem to enter a trance state.

Anybody have highly recommended custom presets from the bwgen site to tell me about?

Extremely wonderful post. Thank you for sharing. I resonate with this on many levels. I too have a "muse" but for perhaps different reasons, we too are "Far apart" in this life.

I am married to an amazing, wonderful woman. I thank the Gods daily for her in my life. Yet, that other person (you know, "her") has some kind of spell on my Soul. Just when I convince myself how much better my life is without her in it, and how perfect my wife is (she really IS by the way) she shows up in a dream, and I am left once again in a state of nostalgic taboo of longing.

I'm going to try to contact her the next time I AP, just to see what in the heck happens. Perhaps I may find some answers why she seems to have the key to my Soul.
#24
To me, AP is about going beyond the limitations of mainstream scientific understanding and conventional wisdom. The heck with The Box. I like to think, play, dance and create far, far outside of The Box.

I'm an explorer by nature. I love the idea of looking behind the curtain to see who or what is at the controls. Everyday life gets boring to me. I love my life, my family and friends, don't get me wrong, but at the end of the day, I want to go beyond mundane, everyday consciousness.

AP gives me the opportunity to do just that.

When my father and sister died within 6 months of each other, I wanted answers. Do they still exist in some form? Is death really death of Self? If there is an afterlife, what is it like? What is psychic ability? Where does it come from? These and many, many more questions have put me on a spiritual path of awakening I would have never ever imagined for myself.

Since then, I have experienced UFOs, ET encounters, precognitive dreams, psychic ability, conscious OBEs and AP's and much more.

I LOVE KNOWING that we are much more than flesh and blood, but in fact spirits all part of a much bigger and much more profound picture.

Quote from: NayYou and me both..lol  I have a narrator that seems to follow me around as well.  I don't mind of course because he seems to speak when only necessary.  You know, now that I think about it....it never occured to me to even try and speak to him..hmmm..ponder, ponder, ponder..

Exactly. This voice seems to be there more as a presence in the vicinity then a partner next to me. Sort of like if I was in an empty movie theater in the front row, this person or voice would be somewhere in the middle or back of the theater. Ready to offer help or commentary when I need it, but is not doing anything to effect my experiences in any way.

I think the reason I don't consider speaking to the voice is because at the time, I think I think it's ME. Or a part of me. And it very well could be. Even so, I would like to strike up a conversation with it. It could prove to be very helpful I think.

Huwie...Thanks for the tip on the Bruce Moen website. I will definitely have to check that out!
