Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! :)

@Szaxx
There's a lot of good info, there. Thanks!

@Lionheart
I pretty much overcame the fear after reading through a few accounts of others. I was sort of concerned about what would happen to my body without my consciousness there, but that doesn't bother me any more. Now, I just need to work on utilizing the rare occasions where I wake up with sleep paralysis instead of freaking out.

Hello, AstralPulse community! I'm new here, so I've decided to write a short introductory topic. Here goes! :)

A while back, I heard about this amazing thing called astral projection. At first, the thought of leaving my body frightened me away from it. A bit of curiosity and research later, however, and I've decided that it's something I want to do. I've been trying for the past couple of months without any real success, but I feel like I'm making progress and believe it's only a matter of time until my first OBE. I've joined this community because I think talking with others who are trying or have succeeded at astral projection will encourage me and may help me figure out something I may have overlooked. I also hope to be able to contribute something meaningful someday that may help someone else. Aside from astral projection, other metaphysical topics that currently interest me include auras and telepathy.

Now that I've explained why I'm here, I'll tell a bit about who I am. I'm a bit of a geek and am currently employed as a Web programmer. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family (awesome dog included), relaxing in natural settings, and playing video games. I have a beautiful Siberian husky who I enjoy running with and who is a great companion to take on nature walks. I usually get along well with animals and find myself especially drawn to canids. I am currently studying the Japanese language due to a particular series of video games I like not being available in English.

Well, there it is. I've never been that good at talking about myself, but I hope this gives you a general idea about me and my interests. I look forward to being an active member of this community. :)
