I downloaded a 20 minute mp3 that says 4.0 htz low theta and I had it on a loop and went to sleep.

Hey, could you tell me where you downloaded this mp3? I'm curious to try it. Thanks!

Pardon my ignorance but what exactly is focus 4 and how does it differ from the lesser focus levels?

Welcome. Do you mean telekinesis?

I think when you buy the book it only comes with the MAP pre-sets. If you want to use any other pre-sets, for example, some of the ones posted online, you still have to register.

What is the proper way to breathe while trying to achieve an OBE? I always breathe in through my nose and out through my nose. I find that it awkward having my mouth open and trying to breathe out through my mouth while trying to relax.

I couldn't really find an answer to this question. Has anyone had any success with the Brainwave Generator? That is, has anyone achieved their first OBE while using the BWGen or has anyone made progress never before achieved? (ie, vibrations, etc)

Although I am new to this board, I am not new to AP. I've read Astral Dynamics and several others and was even a member of this board when it was nothing more than a tiny little section of Robert Bruce's main page. I never really had any success with AP. I've never had vibrations or experienced anything that would make me think I was close to leaving my body. A few days ago I thought about AstralPulse and decided to come take a look again. My how things have changed!

I immediately downloaded the Brainwave Generator and I selected the Sleep 2 pre-set. Never before have I ever felt as relaxed as I did last night. My whole body was very heavy and numb and I felt very at peace with myself. One of my questions is: How can one tell when one's body is sleep while one's mind is still awake?

Also, I feel like I need to be doing something more than just relaxing, trying to clear my thoughts, and listening to the brainwave frequencies. Is this true? Earlier while listening to the Deep Mind VI pre-set (I registered my copy of BWGen) I started to do some affirmations: "I am leaving my body now" etc. but I felt after a minute or so that the frequencies from BWGen were distracting me from continuing with my affirmations. The same thing happened when I tried to do the "white light method" I read about or the "rope technique." I felt that after only a short time the BWGen was distracting me. Furthermore, I'm not very good at visualization to begin with so that makes it all the more difficult. So then I continued to just try to clear my mind and not do any sort of technique. About an hour later (and this hour seemed like maybe 20 minutes or so) I decided it was enough and it was time to open my eyes. Again, no vibrations or anything just a complete sense of relaxation. What else can I do?

I plan on getting back into this and REALLY giving it a shot. I think that BWGen might be the key for me, but I'm not sure. I'm going to go out and buy MAP shortly. Thanks for listening.
