how does one start out?  what does energy building achieve?  what is NEW? what does one feel when doing this?  what are some techniques to do this?

i can get into the mind awake/body asleep mode in a matter of minutes(10 average, 5 if I'm really focused) but i cant project.  last night i tried the rope method, but couldn't make it out, and after i kind of gave up, it felt like something was pulling on my left leg, very hard.  like something wanted me to come, but i couldn't get out, even if i wanted to.  does anyone know what I'm talking about?

i focus on energizing my chakras.  i have ADD, or something like that, so its very hard to focus on anything for long periods of time, but i find that focusing on energizing chakras is something i can easily focus on for about an hour or two.  so, I'm focusing on the chakras, and my body starts tingling.  I'm thinking "cool.  that was fast.(normally it takes an hour for anything to happen. this took about 5 min.) OK. focus time" the vibrations get a lot stronger. my eyes roll up into my head(first focus smasher.  i actually like the vibrations.  they feel cool) then i focus on pulling myself up a rope, which usually causes my astral body, if you will, to feel like its being tossed about, then i feel like I'm floating up, but i kind of lose focus while climbing the imaginary rope with my imaginary hands. also, when i start to project, my heart starts going really fast, and it feels like my body is getting pushed up and down(head to toe up and down.  not front to back)  does that help any?

every time i try to project, it feels like I'm being tossed about on a raft in a storm but not as intense.  like, my body is floating and rocking all over.  last night i felt like i floated out of my body and turned over, but nothing happened after that.  after that it felt like i was laying on top of my body in the same position.  i need some advice.

any tips or advice?

i got into the heavy vibrational state, and had the feeling like i was rocking around a lot, though i wasn't moving at all, seeing how i was paralyzed, but mentally alert.  i felt myself floating up, but opened my eyes in excitement and got jerked back in.  i was so close.

i can get to the point where i cant feel, see, taste, smell, or hear anything, or anyone.  but i have no clue if this is the right direction.  i also usually end up falling asleep.  I've only had vibrational sensations twice.  it seems like the more i practice AP, the less vibrations i get.  is this bad?  also, how do you know if you can "leave".  and how do you do that?  do you try to physically move?  or mentally move?  I'm so confused.

hi.  i'm 17(turned 17 in April of this year).  i became interested in AP when my friend gave me a book to read about it.  i'm having some trouble with vibrations though.

hi. I've only done attempted astral projection twice since yesterday. the first time i accidentally fell asleep. i awoke, however, and my body was surging with vibrations, and i controlled them into the head to toe and back to head motion. i almost got my head and hands out of my body, but i decided against it, because i had to leave soon. the second time ever was the same day, in the afternoon, about 6. i could barely get my forearms and lower legs to vibrate, and kept losing concentration, partly due to the fact that i had ear plugs in, so my mind made its own sounds(ie: random music from DDR), but when i really focused, my arms and legs began tingling more and more, but i had to stop because my elbows began to hurt due to the fact that they'd been in active for about an hour or so, and one of my friends was coming over. can anyone give me advice? Am I trying to hard?
