I want to have an OBE, how do I start, I have read Adrian's book, I have tried to acjhieve my vibrations but I don't seem to be able to clear my brain or keep my mind steady, any help please?

I don't know how to start experiencing OBEs, I have been trying pls can somebody help me out there? I have read some parts of Our Ultimate reality sent to me in bits by Adrian Cooper, I really want to have an experience and then from there go on. Can I have an OBE alone without somebody helping me like a guide, somebody told me that I could get scared, I just experienced a short sensation when I registered into this forum, it feels like vibration and it was like I was loosing control then I shook my body and I lost it.
