For the last couple months, whenever I have sleep paraysis and leave my body, I'm always greeted or end up finding this same entity. He always wears a trench coat and a top hat, has gray pale skin and a small bit of gray hair. A very pointy nose and pointy ears, and is very skinny. I always took it as some kind of demon. When I first met him I approached him first, but he seemed indifferent about my presence. He just stood looking off into the distance like he usually does. He started talking to me more and more but I can never remember what we talk about. One time he even hugged me for being a good sport about losing some contest. He seems to show me some level of respect but has gotten angry at me also. I am open minded to it just being a dream but it is very interesting and a little worrying.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Strange OBE
October 07, 2012, 23:39:27
I normally get lucid dreams and sleep paraysis almost every night. I had a very strange one this time. I left my body and struggled for about five minutes to get through my blankets, managing to leave my room and head into my kitchen. I saw my mom standing outside on the deck, and strange stars filled the distance. Like they lit my entire view, almost like fireworks frozen in time. Her body was sort of messed up looking, and then a dragon attacked us from the clouds.... I ran down my driveway and suddenly it turned day time, like a light switch was flipped. I ran from this dragon for awhile. Strange huh? Then I awoke only this time I wasn't in my bed, but in my neighbours yard. There were deer coming out of the woods, and a group walked really close to me, but tried to bite me. I jumped away onto the road, and ran down the street. For some reason I decided to wrap around a power line, and slide down it. I slid through the ground and it kept going down into a blank sky under the ground. I sped up faster and faster, closing my eyes and letting the wind hit my hair. It felt pretty amazing. Then I woke up. Any thoughts? I found it very strange.

Usually when I wake up and go back to sleep, I get a lot of lucid dreams and sleep paralysis. I'm not sure if I'm having obe's or not, but during sleep paralysis I find myself sometimes waking up in random areas of my house or sometimes in entirely different places altogether in the out of body state, and not just in my bedroom. I've had the obe blindness before, bounced around my room on many occasions, been able to walk sometimes and float at other times, and one time I looked in the mirror and noticed I had a third eye, only it was beside my left eye on the side of my face.... I can also fly through walls but I find myself trapped in blackness if I do so. Also, things in my house and outside don't look entirely true to how they actually are, so I think it could just be a vivid lucid dream. But it does seem much more real than a lucid dream, almost like a physical space, where as lucid dreams seem less stable. I can also meet and have very detailed conversations with people I know in real life, and there's also things that mess with me during the experience. Like opening doors, moving things around in my house, and sometimes I meet complete strangers who are always silent and frozen like statues. The strangest of all was one time I hung upside down on a lamp post, and slid down it into the ground and kept sliding down it like some kind of ride...

This probably sounds weird, but I'm very fascinated by all of this and would love some insight!

Hi, I'm new around here and thought I'd share my stories of OBE and get some opinions on rather they are real or just dreams. I've been getting lucid dreams/sleep paralysis for along time, and have discovered a way to wake myself up. I always had the ability to move around on my bed and try to snap out of it, but then I started reaching around for a cold glass of water (I recently realized even if there is no water in my real room I can still grab it.) and pour it on my head, which feels completely real and usually wakes me up. I usually get bizzare head pains and feelings during the episodes, sometimes see strange things, the usual SP stuff. But when I finally gain the ability to get out of my bed, I usually have a hard time seeing. I almost feel blind, or partly blind. Sometimes I'm able to slowly begin to see and other times I can still sense where everything is in my room but can't see at all.

The first time I remember a possible OBE happening I flew at my wall, kicked at it a few times, flipped onto my floor and hit my head, which hurt. I then woke back up in my bed like nothing happened.

Many times I fall out of my bed, blind and barely able to hold myself up. Sometimes I talk to people from real life in these OBE dreams.

Another time I actually floated over my bed and starting rotating and spinning around.

Another time I climbed out of bed and walked to my laptop, thinking I had actually woken up. My legs felt incredibly weak and tremply, so I searched it on my laptop to see what was wrong. I then looked around my room to realize all my things were not in their proper spots. Then the lights started going off and wouldn't turn back on. I ended up going upstairs in my house, and everything was pitch black. I heard screaming so I woke up.

And finally the latest time it happened, for some reason in a dream I took nerve gas, which made my head feel very messed up. I was put into a SP episode and my cheeks felt like they were on fire. Reaching around for the magical glass of water, I manage to leave my body trying to fly through the wall, but I just couldn't do it. I ended up getting up and feeding my fish of all things, who seemed pretty mad for some reason. Then I wake up again in my bed but I'm still in the OBE, I feed my fish AGAIN for some reason and then I start seeing other fish I don't even own. The OBE falls back into a regular dream at this point.

So do you guys think it's just a dream or am I actually having OBE's? I also have to say when it happens it feels very real/physical unlike dreams.
