Anyone know what focus level lucid dreaming would be?

Considering I posted in your topic I'll try to answer your question. Generally I relax my eyes completly. I suppose you could focus on the darkness. Most people say clearing your mind is the best and focusing on something doesn't seem possible while doing that. Also for your information Monroe Wave I - Introduction to Focus 10 has you relax your jaw, forehead, cheeks, eyelids and your eyes. Relaxing your body is a given ( I'd think). The closest I've been to projecting is when I almost fell asleep and somehow came to right before deep sleep set in. I was completly aware and in control of my intent, while my body was completly asleep. It was the most awesome feeling and somewhat indescribable. Sleep paralysis can be somewhat scarey if you're not prepared for it. Good luck hope that helps.

I had a few questions of my own... :) Does anyone else see outlines of the room or objects with your eyes closed?  For me when I close my eyes I can see the outline of my arms or hands moving. Also I can see the shape of my room and some other things. My eyes are definetly closed when I percieve these things and Im wondering if other people are experiencing the same things?

Thanks

Hey there,

Ive never used headphones that can respond to low frequencies like that. Normal headphones (even a good pair) respond around 15 or 20 hz. I believe you'll find binural is the change in hz between your right and left ear. Your brain attempts to make sense of the difference. In that sense you could have 100hz in one ear and 104hz in the other, to produce a 4hz binural beat. It'd be interesting for you to try bwgen with those headphones. I can help you out if you need any. PM me if you want. I've been kinda busy lately but Ill try to respond quickly.

I supplied Adrian with that zip file containing the presets. I found them on a yahoo forum. They appear to be authentic and I don't think anyone would try to duplicate them as it would take quite a while to compile the whole set. Also I'm not sure how frequencies could be harmful? If they are giving you headaches and whatnot obviously discontinue use.. I haven't found anything bad about them yet.

Well sounds like you're in my position. I can get the imagery and the body numbness. But *most* of the times its not paralysis. When my body is asleep my brain gives me messages like where the hell did it go. All sensory input from my body has vanished. I dont feel where my arms or legs are. If you bring yourself out of the trance you should be able to move your body tho. Thats what ive found. Your second question sounds like you might've been breathing shallow. I usually do that to get into F10 quicker. But you might've gotten winded from sitting up or even talking might trigger that. It takes a lot less oxygen to sustain meditation than it would regular activities.

When you enter this state of imagery and numbness you should be trying to place your intent to where you would like to visit. Most people *I think* make energy bubbles for their travel *for energy and to protect them* I dont think its nescessary but some swear by it. Monroe suggests resinent tuning... breathing in (gathering energy) breathing out (expelling waste and tension). Sounds like your situation is borderline ready to phase. I think you should read up into Frank and Ginny's posts. They both use phasing techniques and are extremely good at it. Ginny focus's mainly on retrievals and exploration into F27. They both can phase rather quickly, around 20-30 minutes sometimes. And they can also switch from astral to F3 (normal consciousness) and back very quickly(like a switch.. so they claim). Check out -Astral Consciousness- folder on the forums. It deals quite a bit with phasing. Or search for phasing. Hope this helps.

I'd also suggest trying to phase while your not tired... I find it really difficult to fight off sleep... it always wins :(

F27 and F27a appear to be exact copies of each other... So what I did was modify F27a by adding a background wav to it.... I don't think theyre different... someone pls correct me if you do find otherwise.

I think what theyre trying to say is that hypnagogic and hypnanomic images can be just like dreams. They can completely scare the *#$# outta ya or they can be very pleasant. I know drugs do exactly what they say. Drugs can alter what you're thinking about and in the case they mention, LSD a bad trip can be easily had depending on your actual situation. If its unpleasant and uncomfortable, its very possible to have a "bad" trip. You think about things you would never think about. DXM is another they mention and at heightend levels of that drug, they claim that 1 in 5 "go homicidal." Wether they act on those feelings is probably up to the person but it shows how your brain can think and do strange things. I have a feeling most normal people block these things but for some I'm sure they experience these without drugs, although some trauma must have occured to set them in motion. So if you can have a dream about getting abducted in a UFO, its very possible since you're body is paralyzed and your mind is still seeing this dream happening. It feels very real. I really don't know if this answers the question. But I will say the mind is one crazy butt muscle. Dont put anything past it. Anything can happen.

PS. Ever have a bad dream over and over? I did when I was younger.. its bad enough to have it more than once. But what if you were lying in bed, can't move and are basically forced to view these images. I guess that might be what theyre talking about.

Gandalf started a new thread called :
" Ok, we've got the BWGEN, how do we use it?  "
It would be nice if everyone could post there success stories into that thread and maybe get a feel for whats working with presets and bwgen. Thanks :)

Anyone who has success using these presets please feel free to post in this thread about your techniques, length, and order of the presets. Everyone on this board is eager to make these work effectivly I believe over 80 people have gotten them in just under a weeks time... Amazing.

Is the website you can download a trial version which doesn't allow you to import these files but a registered copy would allow this. I believe its 30 dollars. Contact me via PM if you need more assistance. There is a trick someone mentioned in another forum about using the preset to import whatever file you want even with the Demo version.

Gandalf:
I'd recommend F27, it was helpful for me to achieve F10 State (Mind awake/Body asleep). I would however suggest, since you have a mp3 player, to go ahead and record maybe the f10 for 10 mins, f12 for 10 mins, and maybe use 27 to fill the rest. I'd just keep experimenting what gets you into the trance stage quickest. I'd be interested for feedback on different combinations, length and order in which they were played. I know many people are asking the same question. It'd be nice to figure out whats working for people. We're all new to these presets, I only got them about 3 weeks ago and passed them along to this forum. Anyway I prefer to attempt phasing while listening to HemiSync, But I believe it's just as good for obe as you're reaching the relaxed state and your body falls asleep. Phasing is just quicker but you must place your intent of where you want to travel. I recommend looking at Frank and Ginny's posts since they deal a lot with the phasing techniques.

I'll have to agree with MJ-12 he really got it right. We are all guests on this incredible wealth of knowledge. I understand you'd like to post whatever you'd like. I hope you choose to stay with us and post and respond frequently in the future. I do have some concerns because you decided to go ahead and threaten the moderators and this forum even though they haven't done anything since the initial incident. I find this rather distasteful. I understand you might be feeling dissapointed because board members didn't jump on your side... but did you really expect them to? You started this thread insulting Adrian, one of the better admins on this forum. He responds quickly and honestly to questions and concerns. He is very active in the gateway and bwgen discussions which only serve to benefit the whole forum (especially beginners). And theres many more moderators behind the scenes that keep this place running. I am grateful to have found this great site and I'd hope you are too. So lets just move on? I don't think this forum is really benefiting from this thread. I'd suggest as someone else did to post a question about Moderation: Rules and Guidelines in the Forums Bugs Reports and Questions area. And to let this thread fade into the background as it is filled with your negative opinions about this site. All I see is a new member hurt by the actions of one, trying to turn a community against itself.

Your quote to me:
"hey my people do whatever they want, according to their individual whims".
My quote to you:
"The sites trusted moderators, read and discard material they feel is inappropriate."

PS: Stated in your last post that you don't know how many peoples posts are getting deleted. But if you paid any attention to Adrians first response you'd realize theres only been "perhaps a dozen posts ever deleted in moderation." But I suppose you don't trust him? Get Real.

You claim this site isn't professional? I have to disagree this is actually the best forum I have found regarding astral and energy development. I find that most of the members here are polite and professional in regards to the posts they make. If something is offensive any one of the members here can alert the moderators. Obviously the moderators have an interesting job interpreting each post, but they do an excellent job. Theres no needless advertisements and no "icky" posts. If you think your post wasn't offensive try it again. Other than that I believe everyone involved with this site has only the best interests in mind. Try to respect their decisions, reword and repost.  I personally don't see the need to "bog" down the moderators with senseless guidelines and red tape. They do their job well and you should be thankful this site exists. I am a new member but I read far more than I actually post.

To be very honest I have a feeling the moderators didn't just stumble upon your post. I think perhaps a number of regular members alerted the moderator because they felt the content was questionable. It really isn't your judgement or opinion that matters here. You can state that your content wasnt improper and thats great. It's the public and the moderators that decided if thats something they want to see. Obviously it wasn't. Don't take it so personal but this site isn't exactly geared towards sites you think are creepy. Try to post things that will help the community. Thats all the advice I have.

Wow almost 40 downloads in what 2 days.... I found these to be extremely useful. I am a beginner and have done no energy work. I was able to achieve a mind awake/body asleep trance in about 30 minutes using F-27a. I was extremely impressed with these. Try using the preset options and adding in babbling brook or heavy rain background noise. I hope to be working toward retrievals as I've been talking with Ginny. Hopefully I'll have more time after thanksgiving and before christmas to work on energy and phasing techniques. Thanks to all the members who've been posting such useful information :)

PS I forgot to mention, I play Bwgen with F-27a with no background wavs, whenever I listen to music, play video games or surf the internet. I just feel it helps even when you're not relaxing. Maybe useless? maybe not? decide for yourselves.

When you're awake and relaxing you're usually going to be in an alpha state. When we learn or study usually we're in a beta state. I believe you're trying to access theta levels which are 4-7hz (brainwave activity).... Alpha is 7-14hz I believe and beta is slightly higher than that. Anyways I found BWGEN to be very helpful, I had no success until recently I found some good presets... A few nights ago a layed down put this preset on with some babbling brook sounds and within 20-30 minutes my body had fallen asleep and I was still awake. This was extremely weird for me as it was the first time for me. PM me if you'd like these presets or help getting bwgen to work for you....

Recently I had a successful (mind awake/body asleep) experience. My first really. It happend using BWGEN and it only took about 20-30 minutes. Today I decided to try to share it with this forum. I created a mp3 from high quality wav files  and compressed them into 192 bit mp3. I've tried submitting it to files twice and had little luck. Im posting a link to the file and to sqr softs crossfading plugin for winamp (fixes the gap between songs).Good luck to everyone who tries it. Enjoy
