That really makes sense, I guess I was trying to complicate things more than I need to. Even that I've been trying to AP for more than 4 years I guess I'm still wet behind the ears (English saying lol) when it comes to AP and you guys are really filling in the gaps for me.

Regards
Steve  :-)

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / My experience
January 27, 2013, 08:39:34
I would like your opinion on an experience I had this morning. I woke up at 8am and at 11am decided to lay down and listen to some isochonic tones with my eyes closed and remaining as still as possible. About half way through the tone I felt a little tingly sensation mostly at my feet but I could feel it in my hands as well.

I concentrated on the feeling and for no reason decided to imagine I was sliding backwards and forwards to my breathing. I must had lost focus because the next thing I remember was floating on the landing ceiling sliding backwards and forwards.

After a few seconds to realise I was probably In AP and for me to stop floating I decided to try and walk through a door but wasn't able to so needed to open the door instead. After this I had a false awakening before finally waking up at 12pm.

My question is because I only felt a tingly sensation and didn't float out of my body like all the other stories I read does this sound like a proper AP or just a very vivid dream. If this does sound like a AP that would be so cool because this would be my first conscious attempted AP

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / SP question
November 29, 2012, 13:19:29
Hi today I tried to use isochronic tones to help with AP. I played the tone and must had started to fall asleep but when the tone finished I awoke to find that my body felt very numb and relaxed. I wouldn't say it was impossible to move my body but it was more difficult than normal.

I didn't hear any noises or see any images so really don't think I entered SP. my question is should I had carried on staying still to enter SP after the tone had finished or should I put the iso tone on constant play?

Hi, so how long have you been interested in astral projection for. What success have you had upto now.

Sounds very interesting. From what you said it sounds like you was very close to having an OBE. Next time you get these feelings why don't you try using a exit Technique I.e rope climb and see what happens.

Good luck

Personally I have never had any luck with free or paid for BB or isochronic tones.

UPDATE: I have now been trying the timer method for the last couple of days now and was able to fine tune the volume to suit my liking.
The main thing I have found was that if you try the method during an afternoon nap (if possible) is showing positive signs than trying to do this method at night or in the middle of the night. Upto now I have had many vivid Dreams and a couple of dreams where I questioned if I was dreaming.
Today during the time I was using the method I woke up feeling like I was floating. Unfortunately for some reason I forgot act on this and went back to sleep within 1 min.
I'm very positive about this method production an OBE very soon, and very keen on finding out your experience using this method.

I have never used meditation. The longest my ap (spontaneous ap's) as lasted was around 30 seconds.

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Timer Method
April 12, 2012, 05:34:54
In the last couple of days I have decided to focus my full attention to the Timer method to help induce ap/ld/obe. I have read many positive stories on this forum and others about the ease and effectiveness of the method. I have made an MP3 recording of the beep intervals of the ramp 4 (8,4,8,12,16,20,20,6,6......) and use this instead of needing to sleep next to my laptop.
Upto now I'm still fine tuning the correct volume to wake me up without bursting my ear drums  :-), but I have decided to keep an online diary of my work with this method to try and maintain my will power with this technique.
I would also be grateful if anyone as any experience with the timer method which you would like to share.

Hi,
You could try spinning round for a while, the effects don't harm you but feel similar when lying down. Start when drowsy, don't fall then lie down quickly. The feel of it can be used to separate.
Give it a whirl lol.

Might help if you get a sick bucket ready for that technique  :-D

I really dont recommend using alcohol as a way to OBE. If your anything like me, when I have to much to drink, I fall to sleep within seconds of getting into bed.

Thanks for the reply. So cant wait to be able to induce my own AP's :)

I have recently been trying to induce AP by using the indirect technique that as been mentioned on the obe4u website.
Up to now I have been unsuccessful due to me being unable to wake without moving, which is an important part of the technique.
A couple of days ago while trying to induce AP using this technique; I had a very clear picture of myself sitting on the edge of the bed. I had full control over the picture i.e. moving arms, walking.
My only confusion about this experience is that I'm not sure if I was projecting or I was just picturing it in my head. Does anyone know or have experienced a projection where you can see yourself like your looking at another person.
I always thought when you project you see normally like you do in your day to day living.

I have tried using the isochronic tones to help me ap but the only thing that happens is that I falls asleep. When using the tones do you just listen to the tones or do you combine the tone with a technique e.g. The rope climb technique.

Hey, my names Steve. I have been interested in astral projection for a couple of years now but upto now the only AP i have done has been spontaneous ones. Over the last couple of months tho I have become increasingly more interested in AP due to a couple of experiences I have had. Without trying to bore the socks off you all, I would like to share a very special experience I had a month ago.
My gran is disabled and its my job to help her to the toilet in the night. On this particular night I had another spontaneous AP and for some reason went to check up on my gran while I was projecting.
When I got to her room I saw her trying to get out of bed by herself to get to the toilet with out pressing the alarm button that we have setup for her to call me. I had a feeling she was going to fall trying to get out of bed and within a split second I woke up back in bed. Once I woke up, I went to check on my gran to find that she was trying to get out of bed on her own about to fall. Before this experience I just classed AP as another form of dreaming but now Im not so sure.

So you can say I joined so I can learn how to astral project myself instead of waiting for spontaneous AP's
