Well I watched this national geographic thing where they explained how the dinosaurs got wiped out by a giant asteroid impact.
Somehow I think this will happen in 2012, another giant asteroid. So I gave it into google and this came up:

I think its a very real possibility but it just about like saying an astroid will collide with earth in two days. The possibility of an impact by an asteroid big enough to wipe out the entire planet is very real every day. Although I have heard that a asteroid is supposed to pass very close to earth in 2012 then return and start orbitting earth in 2029, possibly entering into a orbit that will send it colliding into earth in 2037. But we'll just have to wait and see I guess.
JESUS CHRIST??? ASTROIDS??? man, snap out of it! Nothing is going to happen allright? The maya's wouldn't know anything about physical objects hitting another physical object, this is a fact. And it also doesn't have anything to do with the worlds economy, global warming or world war/nuclear weapons. These are things the maya's didn't even know existed, if they did, they would've invented electricity and lived more comfortable lives. The only thing that could happen is that human consciousness could rise. I'm just trying to say that if you think logically, it would be impossible to forecast astroids hitting earth. However, knowing something about evolution COULD be possible, don't ask me how but it's just a bit more logical.
The mayans did not predict global economys and anything that have come into existance proceeding the invention of their calendar. Certain elements of our civilisation have simply alligned with their calendar and WE have said this is what they were predicting. The calendar you live by, 365 days, was invented by the Mayans. They used it for tax purposes.

They were the most precise civilisation in estimating the location of the planet,

I am personally a little sceptical of the asteroid myself. There's not much of it around on the internet. Also the mayan's were measuring the evolution in consciousness, not the end of the world that has been injected into society recently. We aren't all going to perish.

Well, i saw that video, the one that took 3 hours in 3 parts.
He said the world would stop spinning in 2003 or 2004, didn't happen, he said we would have alien contact in the 5th day? Didn't happen either, maybe it's going to, but... we'll see. I'm not expecting anything.
Firstly, we started the 5th day on November 24th. It finishes November 18th (from memory) 2007. Saying "didn't happen" is a little premature. Secondly, people will make many predictions about what changes in the world will occur up until 2012 or Oct 28 2011 perhaps.

It is a very real possibility. Meteorites, micromteorites, and meteoroids enter the Earth's atmosphere every day, but are rapidly burned up by the atmosphere. Many of these can be fragments and debris from asteroids. In fact, there are over 60,000 Earth-Crossing asteroids who's orbits are right in our paths. Or, more correctly, we're in theirs. Earth-killer asteroids are VERY common, and even knowing how possible it is that our life here on Earth could be ended by a chunk of rock as small as 10 miles wide traveling at tens of thousands of miles per hour is very scary.

i wouldn't trust that website for only one, and only one reason alone: it may not contain commercials or anything that i have seen but it is a highly highly SEO page, infact it is so highly optimezed that i myself will have to lern from it.
but even so the info it is not fake and not true. it is a theory that i myself (or not) shall soon have a post about it. My intrest in the 2012 events may be older then me, i did not belive in 1999, 2000, 2001 or whatever date "the end" was predicted.
2012 have srong arguments and not from the "paranormal" area but from the science as changes and vary rare events will come.
if u live in the deep forest of amazon or the high tech center of NY a spiritual event is a spiritual event. You don't need nukes nor electricity to see that coming as it is irelevant.
