I am very excited about this as well. When I was first told about it when I was younger by my grandma and grandpa, they told me that they believed that this would be a point in time that willing humans would be ascended in knowledge and strength. I honestley have no idea what's going to happen.

As for the spaceships, You never know.

I sure do know that the universe is way ENTIRLEY too huge for it to just be us. We are just one solar system in this galaxy. There are who knows how many more. And that's just in this GALAXY, and there are contless numbers of those also. I guess now the main problem would just be staying alive long enough to get to a place with other inteligent life forms!

:-D
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. Perhaps some day you'll join us, and the world will live as one.

this will make earth look like a bulleye's for extraterrestrials?
If that doesn't get some attention from aliens, I don't
know what will.  I read some people believe Dec-2012 means
the landing of spaceships.

There are plenty of alien species out there with an interest in Earth, but I don't think that 2012 is the day when they all land in their UFO's :)

They are already here anyway, and likely have been for at least 1 million years. Ancient records are full of such accounts.

The only ET's that will not welcome 2012 are those who have other plans for Earth and its residents; fortunatelt there are not many factions of such ET's; most of them are passive observers.

Best regards,

Adrian.

Actually, the World is already something of a SpaceShip Central, but every Country on Earth has National Security Protocols in place to keep such events "Top Secret" and "Need to Know Only".  This keeps them all out of the Press.

One wonders why no Advanced Nation's Judicial System has yet questioned the Civil Liberties aspect of any of the National Security Programs -- all of the Secrecy.  It certainly seems contradictory to the principles of Freedom of Speech.

I doubt that any extra-terrestrial lifeforms would be interested in us.  We're just a small, blue, watery planet orbiting an average-sized sun on the edge of a normal spiral galxy among billions of other galexies.  Honestly, I think the human race thinks way too much of itself.  We might be the dominant race on this planet, but I will bet you a million dollars (if I had it) that there are thousands of races that are eons ahead of our technology.
I'm not taking away from the events that are prophesized to happen in 2012, simply replying to your question if this would make us a target for other life to invade.

The anecdotal evidence goes the other way with the thousands of assertions that we have been visited by extra-terrestrial aliens, often by complete groups.  If one were to regard legally compelling evidence as having the same authority as proof derived from laboratory protocols, then we could say that the interest of Space Aliens in our little Blue Planet has been demonstrated and proven.

yep, earth might be little and blue but is also a rare place where one can experience free will. And that is certainly something to look at. :-D

And I totally agree with you on this one.

We all find nonsenses to believe in; it's part of being alive.

I deffinitly believe that aliens will land with in the next couple years or so. I followed this lady called sylvia brown. She has a few good books out their about all of this stuff. She believes that they will land on 2010. She believes they are here also but no one relizes it. But when/if they do land i can look at my parents and say " see im not crazy".

Oh yeah, here is her predictions for the next 100 years. I dont believe all of it. Who is to say if she is real or not but its still interesting.

Well, I never thought the 2012 date was something to be taken as seriously as people seem to be doing recently, but I do see something intersting in Nay's tidbit:

The Aztecs had a date for the end of their last age, on which Quetzecoatl was meant to return- this turned out to be the day Cortez (from an alien culture, the Spanish) arrived to conquer them. It would certainly be funny if the Mayan end-date followed this pattern and extraterrestrials arrived that date.

It seems like maybe you think way too little of yourself.  Humans are unique and differ from other life forms in so many different ways. Why do you think there are and have been aliens here on earth to begin with? They didnt come here cuz we suck, ill tell you that much.  I garuntee other life forms cant feel and express emotions anywhere as close to the way we do.  Ive been having OBEs for almost 5 years, and have read books and gained much information about some of the pioneers of OBEs, mainly Robert Monroe. He and others have communicated with ETs in the nonphysical many, many times.  In his reports the ETs claim to have a great interest of humans. According to the ETs that have been communicated with: We have humor, which no other life form has. We share love and other strong emotions, and act on these emotions, which is also rare. Basically everything about humans that you think is so ordinary and unimportant extremely fasicnates other life forms out there.
Another main reason ETs show interest in earth and humans is due to the upcoming events that will take place around 2012. The ETs claim that an extremely rare type of energy is going to be created by the main event, and they are interested in seeing how it will effect humans and life on earth.
If being human is so unimportant, why are u human? We all chose to be human for a reason. The same reason. To experience life as a human on earth, to learn, and to grow.. because being human is an extremely unique experience.

I think the human race collectively does think a lot of itself. Our ignorance always stops us. First the earth is the center universe, then the worlds is flat, then we can't fly. Now some of us can in the RTZ without wings or and engine.

IMO, contemporary religions are going to seriously struggle trying to emphasize God's exclusive relationship with man if extra-terrestrials visit. How well will religion hold up in this coming space-age?

I can agree with what outofbodydude is saying partially; we are unique, but not almighty.

It seems to me that a great deal of contemporary religion is already getting away from the idea of an anthropocentric (and anthropomorphic) God, and going for the idea of a Universal organizing force or something of the sort.  Of course, some sects will declare themselves as 'God's true heirs' or some other form of religious exclusivity.  So I don't see a great change in the religious status quo.

Awakened_Mind

That's because religion is largely about doctrine. The way they 'change' will be in a way to point people back towards whatever religions particular doctrines.

I think it will be very interesting to see what happens.  It's kind of exciting to be here at this time on earth.  My son (when he was little - now 23 yrs. old) dreamed that the world "ended" on Dec. 12th, 2012.  He was standing in a line...and waiting to speak with JC of all weird things!  It kind of freaked me out when he told me this (I think he was around 8 at the time)...because I knew it corresponded with the end of the Mayan calendar as well as some Native American beliefs about the ending of this cycle and the beginning of a new world cycle.  I find it hard to believe that nothing will happen with all of these cosmic events occurring simultaneously.  Fascinating stuff here.   :-D
