I heard that the mayan calender had no leap years. Meaning that our year is 365.25 days, while the mayan is only 365. So 1460 mayan years would be 1461 normal years. Meaning that the mayan calender ended somewhere in 2005 (didn't calculate the exact year).

Anyone have some information on this?

I read that according to the correct interpretation of the calendar the real date is 2201 or 2210 (I can't remember.)  So..... :?

So, the guys who'll be living when 2201 or 2210 comes, will be talking about the same thing we're speaking of right now. I just gotta give it to the writers and screenwriters and New age gurus. They're surely making a financial kill out of fear.

Note to self: Write a book about the end of the world, get rich. Or better, start a new religion, get richer. It worked for the dude who created dianetics  :-D.

If the internet had been around in L. Ron Hubbard's day, scientology would have never been what it is... but only because of the competition.

FYI there is a larger cycle in the calendar.  It just starts from scratch again.  The earth will still spin and life will go on.
