The problem with all predictions is "interpretation". Just like when you take the Tarot card with the picture of "death" on it.. you can interpret that to mean physical death or a concept of death and rebirth on a spiritual level. Many doomsayers who interpret all of these predictions like to think in terms of physical, time-space events.. but the vast majority of the time these things don't really have a place in the physical.

Elenin is supposed to pass earth at its closest something like 21 MILLION miles away.  Its size is 100 billionth the size of the moon, which (according to http://www.elenincomet.org) means "its tidal pull on Earth will be equal to about one hundred trillionth of the Moon" - I wouldnt say this is cause for concern.  Of course unless its really a big spaceship hell bent on destroying us..

As I was reading this, I remembered that the moon is new as of today. For three days, it will be dark. I wonder if that's what 'they' meant? I'm not sure who 'they' are, but this seems the most likely reason. New and full moons seem new or full for about three days. This doesn't exactly affect life down here though, so I could be wrong.

I didn't read all of this and I don't know if it's the same thing or not, but I was listening to the local morning show guy on the radio in the Washington DC area recently (Elliot in the Morning) and he mentioned a letter he received from someone.

Apparently the letter was from someone who was deemed to be legit (as in not just a random nutcase) and it basically said that very soon we would see an object in the sky that the government and whatnot would claim to be a nearby supernova.  Supposedly it would appear as if there were two suns in the sky for up to two weeks and it might even be bright enough for there to be no darkness during that period.

The author of the letter however claimed that this is not what would really be happening.  He said that he was in danger already, but people had to know that it is not a supernova.  He also said the government knows what it really is.  He would not say what it was in the letter because, as mentioned, he believed himself to already be in great danger and didn't want to make it worse than it was.  The author claimed that this was not "second-hand" information, as he was the one who discovered what it really was and was being forced to keep quiet about it. 

I never really heard anything else about it.  But I guess this probably isn't the same thing because OP is talking about darkness and stuff.  This guy was talking about the appearance of an object that shone so bright that it looked like a second sun. 

Either way, I hope that really happens, regardless of what it is.

 I was talking to Noy about this yesterday in the IRC Channel room. I said that during an afternoon Phase Session I had tried for the first time to see a future event. Immediately I was on the lawn with my family staring up at 2 suns in the sky, just as the sun was setting. It was eerie, this is the first time I have seen my family with me in any visions. Definitely a strange site to see.

Moreover, this visual phenomenon is not unique, e.g. on YouTube you find two suns filmed in China in March 2011.

Well, as usual, some say it's fake, some interpret it as lens flares or haloes. The most reasonable explanation seems to be "sundog".
