Weird weird weather

Hello, its really weird tr kind of weather we are having over here... The weather is awfully hot, and the rainy season which ought to have started seems far away! And why is it that the day now feel like 15 hours... I mean blink and several hours is gone, I mean it really obvious and people who don't even know about the transition are complaining. I also noticed that several years on karmic debts can be resolved within days or hours... It's full throttle, anyone have a similar story?

 I live in Minnesota. this year we have had less than 20 inches of snow. The normal here is 80-100. We have also seemed to have skipped Spring and jumped right into Summer, lol.
Hopefully we don't have to pay a price for this!

Indeed. This does not feel like the natural order, or at least it is not the natural order I was accustomed to experiencing.

2012 has and will probably be a milestone year in many remarkable ways, regardless of any prophecies.

 Climatologists recently have been linking this weather for the for the first time ever with the recent Solar Flares. They say there is an unusually warm atmosphere right now in the west. But in the east and the UK, it's the opposite. I remember reading years ago that global warming causing the icebergs to melt would cause diluting of salt in the waters. This in turn would cause the west to become unusually warm with many severe weather events and the east to stay cool.

Yes, the Sun is obviously the primary contributor to any global Warming (note; the Earth has been warming slightly ever since the end of the last Maunder Minimum, or - Mini Ice Age... which is a good thing.)

 Since you like to back up your statements with links to other sites I have a couple here for you. One of them is an article from Scientific American Journal dated today March 26th/2012. The other one is named the Climate Hot Map which shows all the areas of the world where changes are occurring and also to what form of life. I for one stay neutral on the subject. There is a ton of different articles that anyone can find that are either pro or against. As far as I see, nobody has been proven right yet!

The big liars in the UN IPCC claimed they had proof but they were discovered to be 'cooking' the data. And, blatantly lying.

The burden of proof is on the one who claims AGW is real. And so far there is no proof. The present data show the idiot greenhouse gas models are a pile of worthless crap.

Southern Spain here. We have had perhaps one of the driest winters I've ever experienced down here.  We usually have dry summers. Like from June till October there is little to no rain. But I actually can't remember the last time we had a proper rainy day.  Normally we hit a very wet season in January / February but it just never happened...  We did get extremely low temperatures though, some of the lowest on the coast since I've been here.

All this in contrast to Winter 2009 where we had the wettest winters on record. It barely stopped raining for 3 months straight.  We had more rainfall in those 3 months than what Scotland get all year.  Gibraltar recorded 10x the average.

I want to remind everyone that what global warming activists are very worried about is the survival of the algae blooms. If those go, which they seem pretty fragile, then it all goes.

I want to re-clarify a fact that most people have known about, but forget for some reason or another.

I would just like to advise everyone that these GW activists have a pretty strong record of being WRONG.

The Earth has been MUCH warmer than it is now and it got much colder and now it is warming up again to something closer to where it was a thousand years ago. And that is a good thing.

These Chicken Little Environmentalists have lost all integrity in my book.

It is not so much "money" being made but political currency.

Populations that are quivering in fear of a phantom can be easily controlled. Work 'em into a good lather of fear over nothing then make the nothing go away with more made up BS and take credit for saving the day and come out looking like a hero.

The Left is Pure Deception. It is so easy to see what they are doing. Why so many allow themselves to be so easily manipulated is the real mystery in all this.

I also think this is one of the central points. It is true that we really don't know that global warming is man-made, but that also does not exclude the possibility- it really could be either for all we can prove at this point. But what happens to the algae and phytoplankton is a priority 1 item. They are known to provide more than 70% of all the oxygen, and probably more. It is true the earth has been much warmer in the past, but I think rate of change is also important. Single-celled organisms evolve pretty quickly, and react to change on a much faster scale than multicelleds, and I think they are probably capable of evolving to meet their new temperature environment if given enough time, but the rate of warming is probably the key; if the earth warms too quickly, for whatever reason it is doing so, and the algae and phytoplankton can't respond to the change fast enough, it could easily be the end of lots of mammals and birds, maybe all of them even.

Obviously we cannot prove we are causing global warming right now, but we would also be taking a major risk to assume we have no effect over those cycles at all, and that anything we want to do industrially is fine.

I think a metaphor might help here- say you were given a revolver, and your partner were given another revolver to just hold. The person told you that one of the guns had one bullet in it, but he wasn't sure which was which. He then tells you that for every time you are willing to pull your trigger aiming at your head Russian roullette style, he will pay out $300,000. Now exactly how willing would you be to start the game, and exactly how long would you continue? Would you be willing to take the 6th shot, and find out for certain which gun you were holding all along?
