I'm not familiar with the way of the sufi by any means,but I had a really interesting dream...
there was a painting of a sufi master.he was sitting cross-legged,or in the lotus position.he held his hands up to his face in a certain way,along with a certain tilting of the head.he then started to crackle all over w/blue electricity.then I adopted this position.I felt a sense of extreme joy and happiness, and I started flying everywhere.
the position is this:
take your left hand.place it just in front of your left eye, maybe 2-4 inches from your eye.not sure if the palm is toward or away from you, so experiment and see what happens.then,take your right hand,and place it furthur away,in front of your right eye,a few inches or so furthur away from the head than the left.again, I'm not sure about the position of the palm,so try both ways in various combinations w/the left hand.then,tilt your head to the left.shift around and fine tune the positions.you might want to try raising energy in this position.
I did a furthur meditation after the dream, and got the feeling that if you got just the right combination of postions, it would be like opening a conduit to pure energy and power of some form.
hopefully I described it clearly enough.please post any opinions or questions.does it sound like it has a parallel w/any postural meditation of some other form? -like a form of yoga, or maybe tensegrity? (which involves adopting various postures in order to shift the assemblage point of perception.it's based on the works of Castaneda).
I would really like to find out more about this![:)]
