A question for all practitioners

"psi" is a word that people, who apparently weren't very knowledgable in energetic systems around the world, began attaching to any miscellaneous things that they can do.

from my experience, chi is one of the easiest and quickest energies to learn about and use, and it is chi that these people are learning to use combined with other "psychic" phenomena (like telepathy). the reason they call it psi is probably because of their visualization techniques (and if it's of the mind its psi, right? wrong).

psipog.net is a good place to go if you want to learn a smattering of things all under the same name, but if you want to understand the differences between energies, you should really expand where you learn from. go find books from your library, look for informational sites on the net (ie, ones that don't sell products or services) about chi/ki/etc.

if you hold on a few minutes i'll try to find an old post of mine where i go over the basic ideas behind a few different energy systems. and the ideas behind them come from the culture that brought each respective energy "to light".

I tried to put this up on the Psipog.net forums but the moderators deleted it. And since this is such a wide community I thought I'll ask my question here.

What exactly is the difference between the energy Ki and the energy Psi? I have found techniques on how to create psi balls and ki balls, psi shields and ki shields. Most of the beginning techniques of both energies are the same. And a ki-signature and a psi-signature are the same thing. But what I don't understand is the difference between the two energies. I used to think that Psi is tamed ki energy mixed with a by-product of when the nerve systems fire. But now I doubt even that. There just isn't enough information on either energy to prove a difference! Psipog.net doesn't even supply what psi even is. They only have a brief explination that the energy comes from within the body. So are these two one in the same thing, or are they entirely different energies? I've been baffled by this for days, and I would really appreciate some help.
