The vocabulary of the average person consists of 5,000 to 6,000 words.
Then, I think that only something like 500 words are used in day to day conversation...
But then, you will have genders and conjugations, depending on the language...
"c'est fini tu parle une nouveau language." =>
"c'est fini, tu parles une nouvelle langue." [:D]
But, you can still be understood anyway.
Allright I have this thing with languages. And I was wondering if anyone knew how many WORDS a language counts on average. I tried to google it but without success.
Because, I believe learning a language shouldn't take a lot of time..
1) you learn the words, learn the verbs, and merge them into sentences, c'est fini tu parle une nouveau EHH..language.
Please let somehow know...[:)]
