If your internet connection is good, you can use file-sharing programs like direct connect (and kazaa?) to download CD burning programs that otherwise you would have to pay for. There might also be shareware programs that you can search for on the web.

As for finding cheap computer parts, i always check pricewatch.com. just be sure to investigate the deal a little bit before you make a purchase.

Kazaa is definitely the best. It's free and just about every song imaginable is on there somewhere.

Pretty nice computer, although I think those specs became obsolete over a month ago. [|)] But I'm not one to talk; my good computer is 1.3 Gh, 30 Gb, CD-RW, 256 DDR, 17 inch flatscreen. (My other computer is 200 Mh![:O]) I prefer AMD Athlon myself because they are so good at multitasking.

If you want more RAM, go to one of those little computer shops like PC WAREHOUSE or something. They do a great job and it's usually dirt-cheap.

I just got a new computer, yesterday in fact.  It's nothing special, although I got a lot for a little ($550 before tax got me 2.0 GHz Celeron, 40 GB, 128 DDR, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, 17" monitor, printer, speakers, keyboard, mouse, etc.)

Anyway, I want to through in 256MB more ram and get my hands on some good speakers.  Any suggestions about where to find good, name brand RAM for CHEAP?

Also, anyone know of any good, free, downloadable CD burning software?

Let me know.

Thanks!
