It sounds like you are moving down the path to wake up spiritually. From my personal experience, it is lonely until you are ready to accept. And that does not have to be in the "Christian" tradition, but in whatever view you have as/of God. There are many perspective of acceptance.

You are not alone...and I gave up on chat rooms a long time ago because it is VERy difficult to convey who you really are in them, especially when a lot of the time most people don't truly act like themsleves.

Just chat on moderated boards like these. You can always find immaturity in chat rooms and most newsgroups. I think I'm feeling kind of 'low' right now because of the changing seasons. For me it happens at the beginning of fall and passes eventually.

Hang in there and keep your chin up, you are not alone.  Try reading spiritual books (finding the light) that are uplifting and very meaningful to you.  This is a great way to get rid of those down moments that we all get.  It will also help keep you modivated with your spiritual development.

Hello. From my experience, I see chat rooms as one of the wrong places to look for that kind of thing. Search out your interests on the Internet when you feel lonely and you will likely find others like you. On AIM the Lifestyles chatroom is alright, as far as chat rooms go. It's a little sillier than most chat rooms and there isn't as much fighting going on. I don't know if you can have a serious conversation frequently but it's still better than most chats. I don't like chat rooms because of the porn ads that are in there all the time from what everyone refers to as "bots," those fake screen names who tell you to click on their profiles and see their webcams. I tried to get in touch with AOL about getting rid of these bots because I see it as an injustice to children, but I can't get in touch with them. It figures. That's another reason I think that this country has become so corrupt from the capitalism and the corporations are the real organizations in power. People in the government are just part of the businesses and they're doing things in their own interest. They probably don't care that 14 year olds are being subjected to pornography when they only want to go in a chat room and talk to people their own age. I find it highly offensive. If I wanted to view porn I'd go looking for it.

Anyway, enough of my ranting. I understand how you feel because I am stuck in a similar situation. Few understand who I am and how I think. I think of it as one more thing that makes me unique. If people expect weirdness from me, then I can do whatever I want and it will be expected. I try to make myself as unpredictable as I can. Like I said before, search out your interests on the web and you'll find others like you. You can have a decent convo on the internet if you go to the right places. Chat rooms are the downfall of our culture. Look what it is doing to the younger people. There are always fights in chat rooms and people who will hate you for no reason. Just remember that when you are in an argument, it's best to be the mature one and STAY CALM. Most of their insults are just things they keep saying over and over, They don't know you so their judgements about you are not valid in any way whatsoever.

Lately I been feeling alone and like no one understands me. I have so many people in chat rooms picking up everything wrong about me and it hurts me so much. I feel like im this bad person who dont deserve anyone around me or any comfort. Im so confussed and lost spiritually right now. I hope I wll find my way soon. I am so scared. I just dont know what to do. *sigh*
