I dont think there are vary many people that could name all 50 of the US state capitals .

For Canada (since I'm Canadian), I think I could at least provide the province names and capital cities for each... but then there are much less provinces in Canada than there are States in the US.  lol

In any case, I think it really falls down to the point of what you feel is most important to remember.  I don't believe knowing the States and their Capitals (or provinces) is of great importance.

I can name all the US states and their capitals. I can also name every president in order.

None of that has ever earned me a dollar much less a cookie.

Keep in mind that they interview and dismiss at least ten smarter kids for every dumb butt just like they do with people on the streets. Only ten is still a sad fact.

I could find all the western US states on a map , I know many of there capitals . For Canada I know Ottawa in the capital , I could point out B.C. , Alberta , and Nova Scosa on a map .  For South America , I could find a few from a map , and a few for Europe . Pi = 3.1415927 to inf. and Avagrato # is 6.023 x 10 to the 22 power , as best as I can remember from h.s. chem.
