Rastus

In reviewing the logs of the IRC chatroom, I have some tips to help your experince there.

1.  If your serious about talking to someone, be patient.  People are doing other things on their computer, or around the house.  When I'm around, I check it every 1/2 hour or so.  It's like Instant Messaging in that respect.  I change my Nick to Rastus_Away when I'm not around.

2.  The busy time seems to be about 6-10 PM EST (-4 UTC).  This is a little late for Europe, and a little early for the Aussies.

3.  There are a number of people that have stopped by that aren't from AstralPulse, so don't assume they know the verbage.

4.  It's not a pickup room.  Inappropriate Sexual innuendo is just bad manners.  The people with the @ in front of their names can mute you, kick you from the channel, ban you from the channel, ban you from the channel forever.

5.  As always, thinking before typing is a good thing [;)]

6.  Just as on here, some people are knowledgeable and some aren't.  That doesn't mean some people have nothing to contribute, just the opposite.  Watching the thinking process unfold is mystical sometimes.

7.  The JAVA client available at http://www.astralpulse.com/chat/chat.htm  has a fair feature set.  It is a little slow and clunky to use, but it's fine for occasional use.  It even supports registerd NickNames.  However, using a full blown client like mIRC at www.mirc.com can enrich the experience.  There are specific settings you need to know in order to access the channel, there are 100's of IRC servers that aren't related to each other.

8.  Most of all, have fun!
There is a physical limitation upon how much light a human body can sustain. Interestingly, there is no limit on how much light a human vessel can generate. When fully enlightened you must instill your light in order to maintain its wisdom.
