These last days i wakep up in the middle of the night very scared and with a very strong fear sensation. I still remember some fragments of the dream i had, but not always. Thats strange because i always remember every dream i have.

I really dont like this, because when you wake in the middle of the night, with no sense of what happened i will really get scared. I always get confused, and with no distinction of reality and dream at all when wake up. Its dark, you see nothing and have your mind still thinking if you are dreaming or not.

Sometimes the things that i will remember its what i did seconds before waking up: speaking in a strange manner, saying crazy thing. dont remember what but i know that i will speak things of horror and fear or i will mumble. In some occasions i will speak with slight different voice.

Its really scaring, and i must turn up the light to ensure that i have no ghosts near my bed, lol! :-)

Really, i dont think that are ghosts. I know thats just a normal night disturb called "night terror" or "sleep terror" with scientific medical explanation, but when you wakpe up like that, totally unaware of what happened...wow!

The only thing that worry (besides the night terror itself) its the fact that this is more common with childs....why the helll i have these nigh terrors?

ANy one here have the same problem?

btw, this is not like nightmare. Nightmare its a dream that its bad (occurs during th REM phase..the dream phase). Night terror can include dream but people will not remember it (it occurs in the deepest stage of sleep). In general people may speak, move, etc and wake up suddenly, with a vague sensation of what happened. They are frightened and with hearth beating faster (and same for breathing).

All the sleep disorders like to "visit me" lol...nightmares, night terrors, sleep paralysis (sometimes...and thast good for AP :-)), insmonia, etc.
