Hi. I hold an irish passport but am thinking of getting a british one aswell. My Mother was born in London and held a full british passport. Only thing is she died in 1990.

Would I be entitled to a full british passport cos my Mother had one?

If you were born in NI you should be entitled to one anyway afaik, if not, i'm really not sure as it seems it could be complicated (i'm not sure if having british parents entitles children not born in britain to a british passport anymore).

I was born in the republic of Ireland. Would I be able to live in London if I get a job over there? (without a british passport)

You should be able to work there as part of the E.U
there are lots of people from eire that work in london, as for getting a full passport you would probably have to work here for ~5yrs and get the company to follow through the process, or find yourself a pretty rich brit get hitched, thats a bit false not sure your mum would have approved!!!

Getting naturalised shouldn't require a company to do anything.

As you are an EU citizen you are entitled to live and work in the UK without restriction.
You should register as a resident since you are going for citizenship. This is not really a strict requirement otherwise (though there is alaw that says you should register anyway. Seems it's not really necessary.)

Just move over, get a job, wait n years (maybe 5?) and Bob's your uncle.

Just out of curiosity, why do you need a UK passport?
