Im not sure if it's just me but I'm sure some of the stars have changed instead of the normal white, it's seems they have turned to have a redish greenish tint to them?
Maby its some form of air pollution . The stars hear look ok . desert rat
No and I have not heard anything about the stars like that.
Look up diffraction and refractive index. Think about different air pressures and temperatures.

Stars can visibly change colour as they go through different stages in their life cycle ie red dwarf etc ive seen plenty of reds and blues. For those who haven't seen, I guess you don't look at the stars enough :o)
