Anyone use cb radios? I got a problem.

If you could give me some more specific info on what setup you are using (antenna, coax etc). I might be able to help.

Also try looking at Harrys Homebrew site (http://sm0vpo.8m.com). He has put a lot of good information on this site regarding amateur radio (including CB).

Im probably one of the few 16 year olds using a cb radio, but its somethin to do at night because my friends got one to. Ive been posting this problem at a cb radio forum, but im getting no help at all. I got a mobile antenna for my house because I dont have enough for a real base antenna, my parents never got into the cb radio at all, but my friend did and he gave me what ever he didnt need. The swrs were never right, they were always passed 3.0 and im worried about the radios. So we decided we were going to build a pole and put the antenna on the top. Well now i got a 75-100 foot pole with the antenna on top and the swrs are still horrible, ive been adjusting the antenna itself with the alenkey but no change, still way too high. What can i do to fix this?
