Post by: Kazbadan on February 09, 2006, 15:46:24
Once i tried to post some musics without sucess but no wi think i did it. I was making some experiements (with uploading musics) in the bug reports section, and now i have my files posted on that section.

Please, click on the next link and then listen to each music (3 musics...each one in one post).

They are not complete musics, just parts (so thats not illegal)

Tell me what you think about it.

I know Madre Deus but not any other group. Could you tell me which groups play the traditional music like the one you posted here?

Cool, have you guys ever heard Okutama Story?

This one is my favorite, one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard => 9.DODGE-Truck of U.S. army World War ll carried log in the mountain.

Carlos Paredes is not a group, just a guy (dead now).

Madredeus is very nice indeed but not traditional portuguese music. Amalia Rodrigues was a female singer very famous at singing Fado (a portuguese style of music).

Another very good player is Manuel Marques (probably one of the bests actually alive, playing portuguese guitar).

Andrew, the link you gave is nice. I just heard one music and its somewhat similar to Mike Oldfield.

Nice tune!

If you can you should convert them from wave to mp3 it takes a lot less space and people like me on dialup can download them a little bit quicker.

I did a quick convert of your first one and it's about 1/10th the size at 128 kbps  here (http://www.psifly.com/temp/c6-3913431267.mp3)

Oh if you don't do a lot of ripping and don't already have your prefered software I'd recommend Audacity from http://audacity.sourceforge.net because it's free and really quite good for all sorts of recordings and even making your own binaural beat recordings with nothing else

Just be sure that once you've downloaded and installed Audacity you download the "optional" LAME MP3 encoder this will let you "Export" as MP3s.

Anyhow, if you are a Windows user everything you need is here ...

I don't know why, but I can't get the tracks. Maybe if you convert them to MP3 before, and upload somewhere else, or something... And Andrewthesinger, pretty nice music based on the couple demo tracks. I agree, very beautiful.
