Where are all the rats coming from?

Have you found rat waste materials or evidence of chewing? Fur? Do you have any unusual new smells in the environment? If they are physical rats then there will be signs. The fact that they are unusually large indicates that they are well fed and that they are probably leaving large excretions. While feeding them if they are physical would not be a good idea, leaving cheese, crackers, or peanut butter around could help to rule that out. If they don't take the food it is more likely they are not the usual sort of rodent.

Maybe they are your power animal! It sounds like they are not threatening you so they may not be negative entities. Maybe there has been a tear in the astral where you live. Ever see the movie Buckaroo Banzai?

  No there has not yet been any physical evidence left behind.

Ralphm,
  No they have not as of yet caused any damage except for the occasional scaring me.  But on a positive not I have been cleaning my room more to get every thing into a place so it's nice and neat.  More importantly the cleaning is serving as a rodent confirmation check.
  Oh and if that was a joke I didn't get it because I have never seen the movie, other than that I don't think they are my power animal.

I couldn't figure out where to put this so it goes here.

I have been seeing a large number or R.U.S.'s lately.  And thoes who are unfamiliar with "The Princess Bride", they Rodent's of Unusual Size.    But honestly, over the past couple of weeks I have been seeing a large number of rats, but they are entirely too large to be normal rats.  Some times I think that I am awake when I see or hear them but then later question wether I was or not.  I do not think them to be actual physical critters at all.  This being largely due to the fact that I have several in my room at the same time and I would have stepped on one by now, which I haven't.  I only ever see them when I have been sitting some place for a while.  I have also had a few false awakenings in which the rats were involved.

So what do they want with me?  Are they just feeders?  Why do I see them now?

It's starting to turn into a twisted version of "Joe's Appartment", but at least none of them have talked yet.  I think that would be cause for medical attention.
