Calea Ternifolia (or Zacatechichi)

Hello everyone,

I thought I would start a conversation about Calea. I found out about its use from another AP website, and so I purchased some. I have had great success using it to have more vivid dreams, better recall, and sometimes even a better rested feeling in the morning.

If you haven't heard of it, it's totally legal (except to grow it in Louisiana), and it's not too expensive. As with any substance, I would recommend doing some research on it; but I have not found any negative side effects as of yet.

BLUAAAAAAGH!!!!! BLUUUUUAUAUUAUAUAUAUAAAGH!!!!!

The nastiest tasting stuff I have ever tried. I gave it a real go as well. I thought I would try to ignore the taste and push through because they say that if it tastes bad then it must be good for you. It just didn't do anything noticeable apart from make me slightly alert and feeling good.. but I think that was more because the further in time I got from having it in my mouth the less I could taste it.

That's the side effect for me... the taste of nuclear effluence left in my mouth.

Yeah see...I tried to make a tea out of it too...Then I discovered that it doesn't taste at all if you put it in gel capsules 

I have yet to smoke any though.

On a serious note.. I tried it the proper way and it didn't seem to increase nor inhibit my experiences. I'm probably the wrong person to give a critique on this stuff.

Apparently they managed to isolate the fungus because it's a specific strain of macrobillus culture that only effects the pineal gland.. and could be found by iodine spraying certain areas. They would glow under UV because the iodine would attach itself to the macrobillus ligand... a sort of protein that's also found in the pineal gland. Couple this with the tryptamine in psilicibin and you have a full on ESP trip.
