A Self-Fulfilling Prophecy: Demon War

Honestly, how many people believe in a socalled demon war?  More people believe that the world is flat than that.  I doubt the believers will cause an actual demon war.

Actually, a good deal of people on this forum believe in it, and I know lots of people who dont even use forums who believe in it too.

Yeah the demon war believers (that's not a derogatory comment) probably have created something on the astral, but i don't think anything major is going ot come of it.

I mean, i think i've seen more anti-demon war people than pro (i don't mean that people actually want it to happen, just that they think it will). So what happens to the thoughts of those who believe it won't? Would they not counter-act the other thought form?

Well i think, if it ever does happen, it won't happen to everyone? If somebody doesn't believe it will happen, then it probably won't to them. Then those who believe it will happen, maybe they will go through it. Who knows?

It's interesting, and i do think that thought can turn into reality if people believe it strongly enough, but i think that when it comes to entities on the astral, it's not so likely to merge with the physical, and i think it would be more of a indivual thing for certian people who hold certain beliefs.

I don't really like to encourage any more nonsense about 'demon wars' by contributing to 'demon war threads', so i'm going against one of my own rules here, but I am curious about something.

Where did all this guff originate? It certainly didnt come from any biblical source or from 'Mayan prophesy' like some people like to believe (unless it comes from dodgy 'factual' web sites).

I think the main originator is Japanese anime and manga fiction.
That people read/watch that stuff and actually think its real is a very disturbing indicator about peoples' gullability levels.

The reason I say this, is that I notice that almost without fail, the people who peddle these stories are always anime/manga fans, with anime user names and DBZ quotes; they also quite often believe that they can do the same things as featured in DBZ.

To answer Logic's question, yes, Im sure that these peoples beliefs will find some form on the astral, but they do so along with everyone elses, so its really doesnt matter; if astral thought forms really took shape in the physical as easily as that, then we would be in serious sh**t from all manner of crazy stuff.
Also, I think you overestimate the actual importance of 'demon war' diciples; believe me, they are a minority and actually fairly embarrassing!

Apologies to 'demon war' believers out there, but the rest of us have seen all this before, its just a pity its hit the forums this time.

Here is a piece from a conversation I had with one of my friends that I feel adequately sums up our beliefs on the 'demon war' issue.

DeusExMachina213:  Read this and attempt to come up with a good response. I'll post it and say it was from you, but I didn't want to post the opinion of me alone, when this issue involves you and the others as well.

WarriorOfLight X:  I would just say that according to the Bible, the Anti-christ will rule the earth in the end times.  When he rules it, there will be a lot of demonic forces that will be terrorizing and influencing humanity.  Even after that, God will loose some Fallen Angels and armies of demonic beasts (the locust/man/lion monsters of the book of Revelation) and they will kill and torture a lot of (I think 1/3) mankind.  Also, after all of the destruction and darkness that will plague the Earth, there will be a great battle, Armageddon.  In this battle, Christ and his warriors will battle against the people of Earth, the Antichrist, demons, and Satan himself.  But, anyway, you can change this in any way you want, and you don't have to credit me...plus, this is just from a Christian perspective, the majority of people on that forum probably aren't Christian...

WarriorOfLight X:    Also, this kind of demon war isn't really the same as a lot of people on forums and websites believe in (I've noticed a lot of them think that demons will just appear and start blowing things up and killing people randomly and that a bunch of great Ki warriors will have to fight against them).  This is just from the Bible, not from a bunch of websites.

WarriorOfLight X:  And you can add whatever you want to that, or take away whatever

DeusExMachina213:  True, thanks. I'm going to post it just like you wrote, only with fair warning that those who don't support Christian beliefs shouldn't even bother reading it. Thanks.

WarriorOfLight X:  Ok.  No prob man, anytime.

I'd appriciate not getting bashed for this, as thats the common responce to my opinion on things.

except the bible says ABSOLUTELY NONE OF THAT.

each of the four times that the bible uses the term 'antichrist' it speaks of it as multiple antichrists, not one and certainly not one who will rule the world. anyone who denies the christ as having come in the flesh is an antichrist, BY DEFINITION. so there is not just one, and the bible absolutely DOES NOT support the idea that there is.

next, the book of revelation is steeped so much in strangeness and symbolism (or even if you read it as purely factual) it's says nothing about the time that the events take place, and many historians believe that the destruction it talks about already came to pass in an earlier kingdom (sometime within 500 years after jesus died i believe). next to that, if you've actually read and /studied/ the book of revelations, you'll realize that a lot of people have heeped a lot of stuff onto it that really isn't there.

you are correct, it comes from neither the bible nor the mayan calendar nor any other religion or prophetic message. it comes from a whole lot of misinterpretations and half-understandings by people who've "heard from a friend" or "read on this site" without actually researching into it.

and now i'm done, so whoever wants to bash me can go right ahead.

sorry for detracting from your original question (about the astral, thoughts, and the self-fulfilling prophecy) logic.

The idea that i have from astral planes, is that they are places of great beauty. I think that we must be positive about that. I always see great extensions of green and blue, golden wheats and silver rivers. I imagine the astral like that or even better. Demons are the exception.
I love you!

Logic

I myself do not believe in any form of a demon war from the astral and physical planes merging. However, after giving it some thought, I think that merely believing in something like this could cause more problems than harm.

The fact that the astral planes are affected so easily by thought, may be more of a catalyst for this thing than most people think.

Imagine, that there never was or will be a demon war, and someone begins a rumor of such a thing. Now, the rumor spreads, people start believing in this and it becomes a part of the collective unconsiouss.

The fact that enough people believing in this could actually be causing it, or not. It might not have any relevance at all, and nothing will happen. Or, it will happen no matter what anyone thinks or does.

Just some food for thought..
