Chicken or Beef Satay!! Can't say no to it!
Oh, I dunno about the energy thing Ender, if you get pleaseure from eating it that counts doesn't it?
[:)]
James.
I guess it does, James. Eating Chinese food makes me happy, therefore it must be good for something.
MuShu (or is it mooshoo??) Chicken. [:)]

Chinese food is just fine, but if you go to China, it's totally different, in the common-man restaurants, I mean. NOt the touristy, big, shiny places.
BUT, have you ever had Thai food, MMMmmmm. Fresh salad rolls: Big rice wrappers around fresh shrimp, and mint leaves; then you dip it in hot chili sauce and a sweet & sour sauce. TOTAL NIRVANA!
And coconut chicken. And Tom Yum soup!!!
Totally, to live for!!!
ThaiFood JapaneseFood and ChineseFood all are very good.
My Favorite Chinese: Either MongolianBeef or General TsoChicken
Favorite Thai: PaThai - Some noodle dish.. not sure if spelt right
Favorite Japanese: Chicken Yak Soba
I like all that stuff but I always have it with rice also.. it just doesnt seem right without it.
Also, SpringRolls are really good.

I like chinese food but, too many times they are "heavy handed" on MSG if you see what I mean...
I know just what you mean Nagual!
I'm allergic to the stuff, so I have to be careful where I eat. A small ammount can make me dizzy and ill within an hour, a large dose will wait about 24-48 hours to hit, but it will knock me flat for the best part of a day.
This is one of the reasons I won't eat at Macdonalds - they also dish out a bit of the MSG in some of their burgers. No mistaking it when my internal dizzyometer goes into the red.
James.
MSG? Educate a foreign fiend here guys [8D]
As for Chinese Japanese or Anynese food I have this brilliant bit to say: MMmmmmmmmmmm Anynese.[:P]
Save for things I'm allergic to (spinach and aspirin) I'll eat pretty much anything and enjoy most of it. Just don't ask me to name any particular foods as I'm a complete waste of brain matter remembering the names of any.

MSG in McDonalds burgers?...say it isn't soooooo [:O]
I like the sweet and sour ANYTHING..and the egg drop soup...Mmmmmmm
EnderWiggin, you should put a warning on this topic..if on diet..DO NOT ENTER...HEHEHE.
Nay
My favourite chinese food is Aramatic duck with pancakes and sweet & sour chicken.
1 eggroll.
That's it. That's my favorite. Nothing else is good, just the appetizer. Yummers.
Those little chips they give you sometimes are OK... while eating them you just can't stop, and when you stop you wondered why you ate something that really wasn't too great.
Go.....FORTUNE COOKIES!

Jouni,
MSG = MonoSodium Glutamate. Basically it is a synthetic presevative and flavour enhancer. If you eat takeaway that seems to have a really strong flavour, like a sweet & sour sauce, chances are its got MSG
Lots of people are allergic to it.
This site has more info on it if you're interested -

enjoy.
Riggs: "Flied lice?"

Hello Enderwiggin!!
I like all Chinese food, but I'd say my favorite is a good bowl of lo mein with some rice and orange chicken! Chinese food is what I love best, and I think there's nothing wrong with it! If I could marry Chinese food I would, but I can't so instead I'll just marry a good cook to make excellent food for me every day!
And as for it being good for you, of course it is!! You probably shouldn't eat it every day from a restaurant (although I would anyway), but it's worth every lip-smacking mouthful (depending on how well you can use chop sticks, then it may just be a grain of rice at a time for you). But anyway, enjoy Chinese food anytime you can! Afterall, what's so great about living to be 120 years old if you have to spend your life eating brussel sprouts and tofu? I'd rather live to be 70 and enjoy every meal I eat in my lifetime.
Well Ender, it's good to see that someone else out there has a passion for fine Chinese cousine!

After tasting thai, vietnamese, and sushi Chinese food lost it's appeal. Maybe not from a good restarant but there seems to be too much mediocre chinese food out there.
Hey now, don't be knockin my Chinse food (j/k). It's good stuff. So is sushi.
Chinese food is good, it just seems like going to chinese restaraunts is like mexican- for every good one there is too many places you would rather not return to. It seems like I haven't reached that point with Thai or sushi. I guess my favorite would be spicy sczwhan with shrimp and mushrooms.
I'm on a "eat whatever I feel like eating" diet, so I don't mind if there's no "Do not enter" warning sign on this thread [:D]
mmmmm, "Americanized" Chinese takeout is so good. My favorite things to order:
Chicken or Beef with fried rice & veggies
General Tso's Chicken
Orange Chicken
Sweet & Sour Chicken
Egg Rolls
Wanton Soup
and of course Fortune Cookies! Yea, those things are so cool! :D
I like those Soy Sauce and Duck Sauce packets that they give you, I glob them all over my rice :D
I'm on the seafood diet also. I see food, I eat it.
Has anyone ever had any bad experience with Chinese food? I had a bad experience on the way back from visting my sis for Christmas. We stopped at this tiny chinese place for lunch and I ordered some General Tso's. So anyway, while waiting for the food to be brought to us I decided to go to the bathroom. Well, there was something wrong with the door and the door wouldn't open right, like only a little. I gave it a good tug and the door opened all the way, only to my surprise to find some guy taking a dump on the toilet....I'm like "wtf?" So I quickly closed the door back and walked back to my seat all grossed out, thinking if this guy ever heard of a lock, and why was the bathroom only for one person? I almost lost my appetite. Then if that wasn't enough when they brought the food, I bit a big piece of hot red pepper and swallowed it by accident, thinking it was a red BELL pepper. My face turned all hot and red, and everything started to burn, it felt like I was gonna throw up or my face would blow up, whichever came first. Well, that pretty much ruined my lunch. lol I don't think I will be returning to any chinese places, only delivery from now on LOL
I don't know why I posted this, but... I'm a huge fan of Chinese food. I won't ask why it tastes so good (because I'll probably get grossed out by the answer), but my favorite dish is Orange Chicken.
What's your favorite kind of Chinese food?
I wonder if it's actually good for a person's qi energy. Probably not[xx(] Oh well, it tastes good and it's filling.
