Hi,

Sometimes the value of these discussions is not necessarily in anybody's beliefs being changed.

I know for me personally, I have been struggling somewhat with not having anybody around me who shares my spiritual beliefs and have been dealing with outside pressures and expectations from people with more traditional Christian beliefs.

Believe it or not, writing out and explaining to Allanon WHY Christianity did not work for me and how/why my newer beliefs have helped me to become a better happier person...made me feel better and more centered with my own beliefs.  I don't feel that external pressure nearly as much, because the writing and reflecting behind my writing solidified my feelings and purpose and apparently re-newed my energy somehow.

In an odd way that was totally outside his conscious purpose, Allanon really helped me.  Sometimes help comes from unexpected directions.  I would thank him, but I am fairly certain that he would not understand that he has truly helped me because his belief system allows no room for mine...  :)

Allanon is a christian because he's a dogmatist, and he's a dogmatist because he's a christian.

Another day...Another circular argument about religion. Whats the point?
I think this is one issue we have to agree to disagree. I dont think anyone has been converted on an Online Forum.
