More theories!! Yay!

I was playing Golden Sun 2 the other day (LOVE that game), and one of the townsfolk was trying to mimic an Adept named Piers(in the game people with powers are called Adepts, and until recently, nobody knew about em...of course the main characters you control are Adepts ^_^). Anyways, he tried to use the power Frost to turn a puddle of water into ice. The character said something along the lines of when you focus your mind you're supposed to create Psynergy(psychic energy), because that's what Piers had told him. But it didn't work...

That got me thinking. The more focused your mind gets...maybe more energy is attracted to you, generated or even temporarily created??

Maybe that's why we need to focus so much to allow ourselves to perform things like telekinesis!

wow man i like your thery and it makes a lot of sence espesioly for me.....me being one that thinks of things like that to....im going to implement your wave linkth and laser thing to help my focus....maybe i can use that some how....any way i will tell you if i have any resaults..........hmmm god im so ticked off and depreset today for some reason.....ill be better tommorow.....[V]
Dont look at the world around you with your eyes, use your soul, and you will see more then you have ever imagined.

FT,

Yes.

Look at things like the practice of magic, or Yoga, or most of the martial arts. Intent is the key. Intent is the focussing of the mind on the task. The "God" seed is within us all - we all have the power to create or manipulate reality around us. First imagine, next believe, then intend.

More on focusing and intent:

What do you think of when somebody tells you to focus? Red face? Strong eyebrows? Clenched teeth? Hard mental effort??

The truth is that strong focus actually feels very smooth and gentle, very graceful even. I discovered this by both practicing telekinesis and doing meditation.

Most of the time when I thought of meditating or doing TK, I thought of tough mental effort, gritting my mind's teeth, forcing thoughts away...But now with experience, I have found that when I focus it is very gentle and smooth.

I guess this might be the effect of the "frequency" balancing out and multiplying. Everything just becomes so gentle instead of frantic and split apart. By trying to FORCE thoughts away, you end up splitting your mind to pieces. Going with the flow makes the mind like a river...which is a good thing!

When I am training at my Kyokushin Karate dojo, I find that a new technique takes some repitition, but getting frustrated gets me nowhere, and the same goes for the other students. Once I get it down for the first time I get used to the flow, and I can do it easily. Until eventually I get it down right, and I keep tweaking it until one day it will become perfect.

I guess that analogy might help, maybe not.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

No, that sounds to me more like constipation. [:D]

Hi All,
HA HA HA HA Constipation is right James!

FT, this theory of yours is excellent.  Lottsa good quotes could come from your posts on this thread.

If everything does exist as various vibrations of the One energy, that has awareness (as Quantum Mechanics has been telling us for 30 years) then it must be probable that we can use the energy within and around us to do stuff.

You obviously are already aware of this, and no doubt you have experience that helped forumlate this idea you wrote about.

You are absolutely spot on with the perception of Smoothness when Focused and in the Flow of it.  I found the exact same thing, at first I tried to push the energy.. (quasi-physically ? LOL),  it worked fine but was exhausting.  Soon enough I learned to open up and bring in more energy, direct it effortlessly in all different ways and finally realized that it is easy.  So easy we can all do it.

I liked your analogy of the Laser, very apt.  That is how it is.  As a teenager I thought we had to train hard to bring our mind to where all thought is concentrated, especially since we usually have a few trains of thought steaming around.  I tried getting the mind to stop so I could then direct it... no go.  Then I avoided the chatter for a while to see if trying to OBE would overpower the daily mental grind, and that did not work either.  So I tried to pull the energy of the thoughts I was creating into some cohesive ball and PFFFTT.

By accident I learned to not fight against it, and the means to do so was simply let go, and do one thing... Focus.  Then the energy came in with a huge rush and I was doing weird stuff with clouds and rain in the backyard... if you believe the neighbours.  Musta looked crazy tho.

Anyway, I was getting lost there. [:P]

So it seems my experience and that of others is affirming the things you know.  I'm gunna get lost again now, okay??

I work with people who want to grow in their experience and so I use really easy things for them to do that provides their own proof, like this.........
When showing people how we can manipulate our energy fields, using simple dousing rods made from fencing wire, they are able to go from doubt to astonishment that they can send out energy and see it effect material objects in the 3D.  They all say how easy it really was, when they had been believing it would be hard or impossible for them.

They didn't have to wrestle with the jabbering mind, all they needed to do was focus their attention on the Intent and then manipulate the energy by visualizing it.

It works well.  And it supports your theory too, even if it was a long winded tour around to the point.

Love Always.[:)]

Fat_Turkey

Wow...that sounds like a really amazing way to show people how to use energy, and maybe for those who already know how to use it (to some extent[|)] to have a bit of practice! I'd be truly grateful if you could explain how that whole setup goes ^__^

Thanks for the feedback guys. I didn't realise how "accurate" I was being...just from my own experience!

Now I'm going to sort of badmouth the very wise people I try to learn from...because most of them seem to have taught that taming the mind is a difficult state to be in, either willfully or not realising what others were taking in.

I have a zenish calendar where there are all kinds of quotes and wise statements from various religious leaders and wise men of the East, but some of them keep saying "only when your mind is still will the truth come in" or something like that. But in these sayings, I can't help but feel that they make out as though having a still and focused mind is a difficult thing to accomplish. Maybe it is difficult to have a still mind, but then again people tend to confuse "still" with "focused."

Even in Robert Bruce's Astral Dynamics and Practical Psychic Self-Defense, he gives us focus exercises to tame the surface mind, and they are relatively simple to do. It's just that when you force outside thoughts away (emotionless or not...) it just rebounds does it not? And then of course people I know and even myself have felt dismay that our minds are not silenced, but in actual fact we have done exactly what we were meaning to do - gotten rid of surface thoughts and narrowed our mental stream to a deeper level.

To keep the mind still and thoughtless, is, I think, impossible. I quote from my calendar(lol), The No-mind No-thinks No-thing. If you think nothing you are nothing. The mind always thinks.

Keeping the mind still has to be different from keeping it thoughtless.

Hi FT,
The dousing experiment is easy.  I stand about 20 to 30 feet away from a person while holding the rods, then walk slowly towards them until the rods cross and show where the edge of the persons energy field is.  Then I start again while they remember the feeling of being most loved...always.. the field is much bigger, then we do the feeling of anger and they find the field shrinks into them.

When they have finished spinning out on that, I re-douse the field with them thinking as little as possible.  Then comes the good bit, LOL.  I stand about 30 to 40 feet away and ask them to imagine pushing their energy field out to the rods so that they cross.  You can see self-doubt flash across their faces before they try... then when they succeed they are blown away.  I love to see the looks on their faces when they realize that they actually made the rods cross simply by manipulating the energy.

Then I get them to imagine the energy coming out of their hands to make the rods cross and they do it without a hint of doubt.  Onlookers spin out though ! But even they are learning something from seeing it happen.  I like to do these experiments in public parks coz there are always onlookers there, hahahahaha.  Spin them straights out!

There is a lot of people still attached to the concept of having to still the mind first before taking any steps towards focusing on things.  I prefer to let it happen naturally as learning to focus automatically stills the mind and therefore narrows the 'beam'.

Love Always.[:)]

Fat_Turkey

How right you are. What rods are these, by the way? And can you make them??

Thanks again!

The rods are just straightened bailing/fencing wire cut about 2 feet long with a 90 degree bend making about 6 inches or so of handle.

There is a knack to using them.  Old water dowsers have told me they hold the water idea in their minds when dowsing.  With this energy experiment, you can't do that, coz you will effect the rods.

I start out with the intention of finding their field, then focus on walking to prevent my mind reacting with the rods. So basically, the intention is set which stops you picking up other things nearby like trees etc, and no-effect from your mind/energy, leaves the rods unhindered to respond to the field your dowsing.

Here's a funny thing about this method.  Guys who have seen it verbally doubted it and were confronted with their own questions without answers, while the women tried it and became more empowered in themselves.  So there is a moral to that !

Love Always. [:)]

I still don't get it :(

Diagrams might help (if you have it on your website maybe??)

Okay, I only just spent the last few moments thinking about this, so it needs refining. Some of that refining I'll be doing as I write, so please just bare with me.

*ahem*

Our minds are like control centers for energy, amongst other things. Obviously a scattered mind is not using a great deal of it's RAM (if you want it in computer terms) or full CPU usage to focus on any one task. But minds are also like energy, and like energy, the more focused it is, the more powerful.

For example, a laser beam is created by taking any single one of the scattered wavelengths of light, and multiplying it. You get lots of the same wavelength resonating at the same level, amplifying it into a powerful and concentrated beam.

That wavelength represents one task. The more you focus on it, the more "mind RAM" you have devoted to it, so you, in theory, multiply the wavelength/task and have more of your mind devoted to it. There are also more aspects to that, such as expanded areas of consciousness leading to more mind and willpower being applied. Willpower being the force that we implement on our minds when they misbehave [:P]

All energies, psychic, magic, spirit, are all controlled by this mind control center. But we need a language to communicate with it. Some say that we are actually communicating to our more creative subconscious, which then controls the energy. But I'm not here to step on any toes. We all know that using what we already know, our senses, and our imagination can use energy. Most people do it visually, through visualisation, or tactfully, using tactile imaging. As some have already discovered, more senses means more focus and more control. In some cases I find it easier to actually move my body in crazy ways to use energy.

Now, our minds are energy as well. So, if our minds can be scattered into different areas, so can other forms of energy. Our minds and our willpower focus other energies and make them less scattered, we "fill them with intent," so to speak, so that the energy is all set to do one task. It becomes focused. Then, as we practice more and more, it becomes amplified, like our laser beam, until we can use it for more things.

The practical use of this theory is simply that, if it holds true, it means that discipline of mind leads to disciplining one's energies, and disciplined energies are more controllable, amplified, and usable. Of course there are other factors that come into play, such as our sensitivity to energy, our crucial perception of energy that leads to us communicating with it and manipulating it.

Anyways, thanks for your time. Hope that all made sense [|)]
