ROFLMAO - the funniest thing I've read all week!  Thanks for the laugh.

Hi Selski, long time no see! And I suppose after that warm welcome back it'll be another few years.

Hi Stookie - great to see you again.  How you doing?

I often lurk, but the place seems to have gone severely downhill since I was last here.  However after reading about lizard food, I just had to sign in and convey my heartiest thanks to zareste for his humour.  :-D

As for being called stupid, it's water off a duck's back.  I find it even funnier that in calling me stupid for finding his words funny, zareste has admitted that he too is stupid as he finds Dusty's words hilarious.

It's all good.

You have to have a sense of humor to endure this forum and all it's diverse belief systems. Makes me happy to be where I am. Unforunately, the wisdom that once permeated these forums has dwindled. There's still some nuggets to be found in the mess though. lol :)

You know, it sounds odd, Stookie, but I think I can guess why.

When this forum was founded, it was a joint effort between Robert Bruce and Adrian. Attached to the site was a library of articles on various aspects of OBE, and Bruce's famous treatise. Now anyone who searched for OBE or astral projection online would immediately run into the treatise, and likely find their way here, or, if they came here first, they would soon find the treatise and other articles.

Now I will not claim the Bruce's original ideas were flawless (far from it), but their prevalence here insured that everyone had a start at the basics, and they implicitly focused the topics of discussion. This focus encouraged people who had come to the forum with no previous ideas to formulate and theorize new concepts, and attracted people who had previous life experience with the subject to join in from elsewhere.

It sounds odd, but I think that if we want the forums to return to what they once were, we would need to gather a library of resources conspicuously linked to the forum as the old one was, and one that draws attention from a google-type search, as predatory as that sounds.

Just a thought ;)

No, that doesn't sound odd at all Stillwater. I completely agree. I started as a member who learned a lot of new things here due to people like Adrian and Robert and Frank. I wouldn't be where I'm at without them. I've been stating for a while now that it's a shame we don't have any resident "experts" on board any more. I question myself as to why I keep at it, but every time I think I'm done I'll get an e-mail or PM from someone that clarifies why I keep coming.

Anyways, I think the forum does well for what we're working with. I would love more assistance and input, and I hope I haven't done anything that moves this forum in the wrong direction. I have no idea where it's headed. I'm trying to figure things out as much as the next person.

Thanks Stillwater, your input is very much appreciated. :)

Sorry zareste, you're right as well.

It's people like you and other 'senior' posters that keep me comming here. If not I feel I would not learn so much, especially with the lack of -your- expert input. So I only log in every day because of you and other senior posters. :)

If it makes you feel like you are doing more. This forum has quite literally changed my life and the way I look at things. Now I am allot more calm and I found that wether people are angry or rude towards me, I can still be kind towards them. I don't understand why but I know it's because of the things I've learnt from these forums, from the inspiration in your posts and such. Now, I can also get to sleep :)

Thanks Zino, same here. I think this is a great medium to share ideas that can help everyone. The disagreements force you (or me at least) to think about the same old things in a new light and try to understand where others are coming from. It's sometimes hard not to be a hypocrite when in comes to unprovable metaphysical stuff.

You see, jazz is like the Jello Pudding Pop ... no, actually, it's more like Kodak film ... no, actually, jazz is like the New Coke: it'll be around forever, heh heh heh.
