Title: Do you have an objective in life?
Post by: Kazbadan on March 18, 2005, 18:51:25
I like to know about the big  things that move people. What makes you live, which are your objectives, the things you want in your life. I just like to know more about people and about human mind, so i ask you:
Wich are you main objectives/dreams/whatever in your life? What do you pretend to do? Why? You can speak about your objectives in middle term and in long term.

Ok, about me:
1- I dont have objectives at all and i dont feel uncofortable with that.  Except to one thing: i want to experiment and live the Nirvana. I want to reach that state or, at least, a state of peace in my mind. I am reaching that and learning how to do it. Indeed, such state can really change my life...i can tell that for my experience.

2- If i do not reach that or, while i do not reach that, i dont care with anything more in my life. I am a dancing flame. I want to live my own energy. I dont know how to translate this to english, but i feel energy and i feel beauty in the world, and i just want breath it. I am doing that.

3- Middle term objectives or selfish objectives:
a)i wanna learn many things like Tk (is that real?), obes, etc...
b) I wanna have some "normal" pleasures: pratice physical exercise, play PC, read, ride in my bike, play paintball, try parashuts, be with firends, get drunk with friends :-), go at disco, etc
c) Womens&Sex: dont need to say more   : - )

I dont want to have (as a big objective) a normal familiar life. I like to be alone (with a fixed girlfriend or wife). I just want to experiment new things and be "dancing" with life. I mean, when i look to my friends with wives, son, etc, i feel that such kind of life its soooo boring! I my actual life style: lovers are better than girlfriends! Its more funny   ; - )

I feel confortable with this kind of life and i like it, but many friends and people that  i know, speaks in a manner to me that suggests (or they say it directly) that have a "normal" fixed life, have a son, a wife etc its much better and they want that as a big objective for life. Whats wrong with them? They follow their path and i follow my own one. Is there anything wrong in this my lifestyle?! I think not, honestly.

Ok, stop talking about me. Now that you read my ideas, i wanna hear yours.

BTW. i am a realised man: in the last here  FCPorto, my soccer club was the best of the world, for the second time in the club history ehehe ; - )     (altought this year they are very weak).

I want to live fully.  I want to overcome my fears and live life as much of a real HUMAN BEING as possible.  Society robs us of our humanity, makes us ashamed of our human nature.  I want to live life as fully myself as I can.  You should read Sexus by Henry Miller, it's pure philosophy to me.

2-3hrs of energy training most days-and I still don't have an objective as to why. I just like doing it. Oh well :-), I'm glad it's not obligatory to have  a purpose because I'd flunk that one.

I wanna see more answers and more well explained answers because until now you are being too brief.

I wanna now more about people in general, about you, its that the reason that makes me ask for more questions (and with more details).

thanks

I have too many goals in life. Since I am a teen, you can just imagine lol. All that superstar, acting, wealthiest man in world. Types of things like those used to inspire me and motivate me lol, and they still do at times. (Just imagine being the richest person in the world! Imagine yourself in your "perfect" life. Where are you? What are you doing? What car are you driving? Who are you with? etc.) That motivates me allot. But I also have other small goals that are easier to be a success in. One was to have a successful OBE, which I have not done yet. That is all I have for this year so far... OBE's. I set that goal last week seeing that is when I first learned about them.

A couple years ago, my main objective in my life and I thought my primary reason for existing was to make it through this life without taking a 10 guage shotgun to my head. My primary gripe with life is the fact that it's so difficult to make things happen that you want to happen. When you start living your life to make other people happy, your own happiness dwindles.  I often say to my wife. "None of my life is what I want, so what is the point of existing?"

Well I'm not going to go off on suicide. I wont do it. I don't have the balls and I have a daughter who is 8 and I traumatized her enough by leaving her mother, 4 years ago.

However my goals. My main goal right now is to try to maintain the income I have now, without having anything to do with corporate America. I'm tired of working around technology and lifeless people that call themselves human beings, their primary purpose on Earth is to feed the corporate machine, contributing to humanities demise. I'm not kidding about that either. I believe that some people on this planet right now are a form of artificial intelligence and aren't real. If you start to advance yourself enough spiritually, you'll see what I mean. I'm not joking either.

Now as far as all this creative visualization stuff. It's crap I think. Just because some guy or woman struck it rich and then figured out that it was because they set a goal, then achieved it and somehow managed to extract 400 pages of spiritual mumbo jumbo to make a book, well that doesn't help me one bit to manifest my desires. You simply can not ask the universe for a million dollars and sit and wait and meditate on it. THIS IS EARTH FOLKS, IT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN.

So I've given up on that. The only way to get things in life is to create a goal, plan and do small things, little by little to make it happen. If you jump in too quick, you fail. That's my problem. All or nothing, and mostly, I'm at the nothing end of the spectrum, because all means failure and a core belief, instilled in me since my inception from my father was fear of failure. It will not go away. It's there, for me to deal with, forever.

So, I don't go out on a limb and try things. I would love to own my own business, work for myself and have NOT A SINGLE SOUL tell me what to do or when I have to get up out of bed.

Sorry for the rant. If if was to say what my primary goals are it would be.
1. Self sufficiency without reliance on evil corporate America
2. TIME DAMMIT. I want time. Two hours per evening to do what I want is not a life folks and that's what make a 20g deer slug look very attractive to me. I'll leave it at that.

Quote from: collins827You would make a great career in a business my parents are in.

1. In the business you are your own boss
2. You don't have to get up to an alarm to go to work, you work when you want
3. If you like freedom, you would like this business
4. Everybody in this business are the best meaning-full kind people I have ever met in my life.
5. The business is meant for changing people's lives, and to make them live the lives they have always wanted to live
6. You do not make money off of "hours", you make it off the work you do. e.g- buying products from the business pays you 10 % back of what you payed for the product.
7. You get taught how to be motivated, inspire people, be a leader, etc.

There's much more, if you have ever heard of a business called "Interbiz" you should join it. If you ever get the chance, look at this site: www.interbiz.ca            if things interest you on that site, let me know. Its only if you want your life changed, and to be a great money making success.   at the bottom of the home page if you are interested the number is 817522. Put it in any of the blank spaces to view info. The only one you can enter is the "Learn More" section

with all due respect, please keep this spam of the site, we get enough spam offering us bigger penises,  home loans, and rich africans offering us vast sums of money.

Ahh! Now i am seing more posts!

I think its interesting to hear about others people objectives and desires.

I really like to know more about human spirit.

Knucklebrain, all that you want its a own business, and time for you? What is wrong your actual job? I ask thised questions because i dont know how its reality in USA.

Manuel, in other words, do you want to reach Nirvana (whatever u wanna call it)? What have you reached until now? Do you think that meditation it makes a huge different in your life?

My reason for these questions its related with the fact that some of my objectives (maybe the first one) it is equal to that one. btw, how much do you meditate in each day, how much its necessary to see a difference?

thanks and keep going, tell us more about you, dont be shy and post a little more about your life.

Ok, you asked to post about my life. Well imagine living a life that is now your life. You visualize the life you want, but the life you actually live is nothing of the sort. I wake up in complete utter misery 5 days a week. I spend 1 hour in the car to get to a miserable job as a DBA where is sit and ROT in a chair for 9 hours a day. Then I spend 1 hour in my car to go home and I get 2 whopping hours of MY_TIME before it's time to get up and do the 11 hours of misery again. SOUNDS LIKE FUN HA? This is the American dream though. To be strapped down by a mortgage and to live for work. I don't want to hear about how bad off other folks are and they'd kill to be in my position, caus I really don't care. This is ME, I'm in misery. I hate this country. As far as I'm concerned, the USA sucks. The government poisons the population with drugs they don't need. They put fluoride in the water to kill us because they have no other place to dump the shat. The food over here is DEAD. The society is DEAD. I can't wait for it to end. Really. I'm about done with all this spirituality stuff. It doesn't seem to help. Nothing changes. I meditate, day in, day out. Nothing helps. All because I have to work. I hate work, plain and simple. I am not supposed to be here on this planet. I know this. I feel this in my heart. Everything about Earth disgusts me. We are no more advanced than the people that lived in the stone age. We are worse off.
You asked, there it is.

Hotties will not help me my friend. I do not seek plankton eating bottom feeders for women. I need a woman that can help me with my hate and misery. It's getting worse and worse. I thought I was out of the hole, evidently not. I need some serious help. I've been to probably 20 shrinks in my life. I've been on all the life robbing meds. I am not fit for this planet.

I was in a dpressive state for years too.

The solution, in general lines, passed by changing my mind and view the world with different eyes. Spiritutality it was of great help too but i know that in the future this help (its starting yet) it will be even better.

btw, about the hotties i was kidding. I am happy, filled with energy and i dont feel any need for a girlfriend. Sometimes, wheni am really lucid and with an awakening mind, i see how useless its to have one. Its garbage for the mind.

Of course that when i am very tired or depressive (very rare the last one) i can think on having a fix girlfriend.

Budhism was of a great help for me.

Inyour case, maybe you should start finding a profissional help (psychiatrique doctor, something like).

When i was down, the only help i could get was from mysefl and i could act only in the days that, by any chance, i would awake happy.

In such days i would do something good for my future in order to get out from the depressive state.

It was a very difficult task and it was at little time that i got out from it (last year).

Hope these guidelines can help in some manner.

Thanks chief. I've seen about 20 psychologists. They can't fix you. Nobody can fix you but you. I'm referring to me however. They are people, not Christ. They offer advice and push pills. No better than your family guesser (doctor)
I'm just odd in the hottie respect. Sex doesn't do much for me.
